So oil is at a very low price. Who has bought oil and how do you buy it?
>>1691300
you can invest in oil companies that you think will weather the storm
if they survive they're seriously undervalued atm.

Are you a year behind the rest of us?
I want to start a business. I have good ideas and can get capital.
The only problem is I'm not a normie and have no social connections. Is drop-shipping the only thing I can realistically do? I want to start an uber-like company for local grown vegetable delivery but no social skills.
>>1691213
>uber-like company
the uber founders were spending the first couple months on the phone 24/7 doing customer service
mayve play the investment game, not the founder game, if you can't talk to people.

Good Eggs already did that, also, Uber wouldn't work because you'd need a 3 way partnership between local farmers, drivers and customers. You'd be fucked by supermarkets and local farmers markets.

You might as well say you want to be a pro athlete but are not athletic.
Business is the art of dealing with people, making them happy, and most importantly putting their money into your pocket.

They invest your unsettled funds after a trade. It's also pretty basic shit.
> When is it coming to my country?
Never. They only have "plans" on an Australian beta.
> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
If it takes more than 3 days, email their support. They are very good.
> Is this the place to pump and dump and/or shill a worthless stock?
NO! THIS IS 4CHAN, A PLACE OF POLITENESS AND PROFESSIONALISM!!!
> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, am I being jewed?
No, that would actually be illegal. Robinhood graphs are just shit and only show you an average, not-really-realtime price. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform. -- (also learn difference between LIMIT and MARKET orders!!! and Jews are not white)
> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
thinkorswim is bretty gud if you want a 2nd account with real broker.
Otherwise you should be using stockcharts.com, finviz, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

People are shitting on Trumps business since they say that he would have the same networth or maybe more if he had invested in the S&P instead of starting a real estate business.
But isn't that misleading since he was also able to keep the same networth and also pay all of the people that work for him? So wouldn't he essentially be "worth" more today since hes creating jobs for people and has a business that he can give to his kids?
red pill me pls im dumb with biz
If he just invested his loan (which is what I assume you're talking about) he would have to take money out of his principal to live as he does and did
>>1691170
Yeah I was talking about the loan his father gave him.
So if he would have had to take money out of his principal to live then it means he was better off starting a business.
>>1691167
Trump doesn't like to push the jobs creation angle since his businesses have repeatedly declared bankruptcy to avoid paying their workers.
Is there a way to scam people out of their bitcoins?

Simple question. I'm going to buy a new car. I looked it up on the manufacturers website, selected all the features that i wanted, ect. That'll be around 50k. If i go to the dealership tomorrow and tell them that i'd like to buy x car with x features, i suppose the vendor is going to name me a price somewhere around these 50k. Can i negotiate or is this some sort of fixed price because it's a new car?
>>1691140
50k? Just buy a used Japanese car and it will last you decades.
>>1691140
As long as your new car is a commodity (not so unique there aren't many of them) you can try having dealerships bargain for your business.
1) Get internet quotes for the product you want, which gives you a list of dealerships' prices that are already lower than walking into the dealer.
2) Write all their phone numbers down.
3) Walk into the closest dealership and testdrive to see if you really like it. If you do...
4) While the current dealership runs your credit/etc., call the rest of the dealerships saying "this is the lowest price I have available, can you beat it?" Make sure they respect your the value of your time in trying to beat each other.
5) Keep cycling through the list with lower and lower offers until you can't find takers.
6) Buy from the cheapest offer you've got.
Sometimes there are financial incentives, such as getting a manufacturer's loan -- repay it off immediately of course, but it make take some amount off the price of the vehicle.

Is renting out a room usually a bad idea?
I'm thinking it wouldn't be so bad if it was a boring Chinese student
>>1691133
chinks don't know how to take care of themselves. their parents guide them at least up until they point they get married.
what that means is that he will be a complete slob. FOB chinks have absolutely no manners either. chances are he will pay on time, though.
>>1691137
Chink was just an example
I mean the main problem is cleanliness and noise
It's probably a bad idea then unless it's a house and not an apartment
>>1691133
>Is renting out a room usually a bad idea?
Most of the time, yes. Never rent to blacks, Mexicans, women, or families.
What are your hopes for 2017 /biz/?
I'm sick of being poorfag and/or wageslavefag. All my business plans are worked out and ready to go so I'm either going to make some fucking decent cash or crash and burn.
Dance with me then.
>>1691096
I'm pretty much in the same position as you, but I don't share that shitty attitude about work.
It would be great to become your own boss, become the master of your own fate, so on and so fourth, but truth be told anon, me and you don't stand a whole lot of chance out there in the world of business.
I bet you look at people and think you're superior to them, becasue you are thinking of business and you have high expectations of yourself whereas others do not, I do that too, but the thing is, when you launch your business, you won't be competing against the public, you will be selling to them. You will be competing against likeminded people, or superhumans who work like fucking robots, so you best be prepared to work harder than you ever did at work, and if things go south, you cannot sit with your balls in the sand, thinking "what if" things went better, becasue that will get you nowhere.
My point is, work hard, and don't be surprised when you realise "Oh fuck, being a wageslave was so much fucking easier than this".

I hope I get lucky flipping penny stocks and make enough money off of it so I don't have to work lol

before investing anything educate yourself on the technology. anyone holding bitcoin should have a basic understanding of the underlying cryptography, mining process, and the blockchain.
it's also important you know how to properly secure your own bitcoins. never keep serious amounts of coin with exchanges, ensure hot wallets are on secure machines, and always keep paper back ups in the event of hardware failure.
>>1690853
Buy all your Bitcoins now so that you can feel the real pain of a dump.
It is the only way to go.
Then you can dedicate all of your time trying to get back to break even.
