Why do you want something that you have to constantly pay increasing taxes on and don't actually "own"?
>>
>>1685681
To use it to make money.

Is there a way to go off-grid, financially?

Bitcoin seems interesting, but there's potential for it to be monitored on the cash-for-bitcoin end, and besides, physical cash is on the way out.

In ten years you might only be able to trade it for bank transfers, which wouldn't be anonymous.

Is it even possible to deal with banks while protecting your identity?

Shady king possibly related.

What about bearer bonds, for example?

Are there ways to receive sums of money from a bank just by providing a series of passwords, or a code, without presenting identification?
>>
>>1685293
>cash-for-bitcoin end,
This is why you buy directly with bitcoin, that's what people will do once goverments remove physical cash.
>>
>>1685293
>monitored on the cash-for-bitcoin

1. cash through mail on sites like localbitcoins

2. gift cards through sites like egifter or gyft

3. buying gold online using bitcoin and then exchanging it locally for cash.

just a few completely untraceable ways to cash out bitcoin

They literally can't do a capital gains tax because you can know how much is lost when transferring to exchanges or something

If the IRS shuts down coinbase and makes itnillegal, the price will skyrocket

I live in a small town population arox 13,000, currently have 3 towing companies with 2 doing the majority of the business, all 3 are on police rotation and take turns on police calls, I previously ran a small auto salvage and used an older rollback to move my own cars around, I enjoyed getting the cars pretty much and am thinking about purchasing a newer rollback and starting a commercial service, what is your opinion? could it be profitable? whats the best rig for the money starting out? is it worth the headache? I think the local guys get around $40-$50 per tow pretty close by and if they impound one for the police they charge $15-20 a day for storage and of course im sure it cost more depending on if the car I over turned and all that shit..

Well you have to factor in the initial invest of how much a tow truck actually costs and then if you can't afford to buy it up front then you will have to factor in how much the payments will be on it and disel fuel and then finally work out the margins, As you said your not the only game in town so when you enter the market your going to drive down the margins even more.
>>
>>1685233
Also forgot to mention insurance, It will probably be pricey since it will have to be enough to cover the truck and whatever your hauling too.

Who else /frugal/ here?

>break in to neighbors house
>get wifi password
Was looking for their Netflix/Hulu/HBO information as well but couldn't find it.

>break into houses
>eat their food
>do your laundry
>take a shower
They don't even notice. I live in a town with a lot of summer houses that nobody ever uses and they often have the water/electricity running

>pick up free stuff when you see it
>sell it on Craigslist
People are always giving away stuff. You can just steal stuff but that gets risky. Never steal phones/computers/tablets because they can be tracked.

>walk into hotels during breakfast
>eat
Only been kicked out once but there usually isn't even employees walking around. Sometimes I make a bunch of waffles and take them for later.

I've been trying to devise a way to steal my neighbors water but would need a lot of time to do it. I would need to connect his water to mine and run a new pipe from under his house to mine which would take a long time. I already have an extension cord running to my house that I use to power my TV/computer and heater. I can pay for my own lighting.

If you can do your laundry there, why can't you just fill up a barrel and roll it home?

I once cracked a wifi password with some command line program or other, but the signal turned out to be out of range. Once I move to town - and into the range of dozens of wifi signals - I intend to try again and save myself a phone bill.

Do libertarians realize that even if Bitcoin somehow became a widely-accepted global currency, fractional reserve banking is never going away?
It worked with gold and it will work with Bitcoin. Banks will never stop creating money out of thin air.

The capitalist method is in serious trouble though, It's automating everything it can and that's going to create nightmare levels of unemployment which in turn will translate into higher violent crime rates.

Canada is already testing their UBI model now, And we better hope for futures sake that it works.

I'm not here to brag, if you think I am please leave now.
A while ago I looked at the FBI's top wanted cyber criminals. they offer bounty for information leading directly to the arrest of some of them.
I managed to find precise information regarding one of the criminals including his phone number, current home address, current email address and some other information, this was done using leaked databases and some information gathering tactics.
I reported it to the FBI (he didn't have a bounty award) but until now (2 months later) I still haven't heard a word from them...
some of these criminals have bounty of over 1m USD on their heads and I'm sure I can crack some cases if I put my mind into them.
I know for fact that feds don't use doxing as a method to find criminals properly and mainly rely on "SIGINT" as an information gathering method
My question is if you think the FBI actually pays or just going to bs me and waste my time, and if you think they will pay, do you think contacting them using the FBI tip form is the best method?

They will only pay out if the person is caught. Did the person you researched get caught?
>>
>>1685208
I have no idea since they don't update me, I doubt they even read my tip
>>
>>1685210
Why do you think you would know more about the fugitive than the actual FBI would? They would have already caught the guy if he was still living at his home address you moron.

cope

Ok I'm in a bit of a shit situation guys and I don't know honestly how to handle this.

In the office we have one toilet, I went to it took a crap and while I finished and wiped my ass I got a phonecall, the call was an emergency I had to send something real quick because they were having a meeting and needed the specific values to close an agreement, so I stormed out went to the PC and searched for the files. After 10 minutes of frantic searching, fearful that I maybe deleted them or forgot to save them from our e-mail correspondence I started sweating and stuttering. The boss that was at the meeting got angry and told me to find it as soon as possible. While searching for the files nervous as I was, I hear the partner of the office yelling and cursing on someone, calling him a sick idiot and that he's going to get fired. I finally manage to find the files, send them to the appointment, call the boss, he visibly pissed says about (fucking) time. Relax and take a cofee with the colleagues asking what the partner was yelling about, who is he going to fire. They tell me, he went to the toillet and saw a big pile of shit in the bowl that someone forgot to flush. How fucked am I`? Can he figure it out, people saw me getting out of the toillet, they're gonna talk, I am not the most popular guy in the office.

Be srs, how do I become the actual type of person who actually does great stuff?

Focus on very few thing or focus on many things?

I simply feel overwhelming inertia. I feel guilty for not working. When I go do something like learn programming through SICP or learn applied maths I feel guilty for doing abstract work. When I try to do real world stuff I just feel ineffective. If I ever work hard I just feel like a brainlet.

How do you guys cope with knowing that people make your salary everyday not by some grand virtue, but dimply through fraud.

I'm honestly having a crisis. I can't tell if I should join them or give up. It's so easy, and so few get caught I see no reason not to commit fraud.

Can anyone help convince me to stay on the right path? Because I think I'm starting to veer off.
