I wikileaks trying to buy some ether too so they put this out to get the price they wanted.

If you look at bitcoin history though even massive events are temporary in their effect. Wait until the next distraction not related to tech security like Rhianna being topless or something and crypto will rise again (no pun intended)

Is joining the military a good option?

I have a master's degree in economics and am about to join the Air Force as a Cost Analysis Officer. I would enlist for 4 years.

Is this a /biz/ respectful move?

Is the military in general a good financial move period? If you do two years you get VA benefits for life, for example.

>so i'll call you when i need you

>*never calls you back*

why do some people do this? if they want to get rid of somebody why not tell them they're fired rather then keeping them in the dark about whats going on?

my old supervisor told a lie to the manager that i was smoking weed on the job. the manager bought his lie and called me and told me to finish my week and that he would call me when he needs me. a week passed by and i havent heard anything. i ask one of the managers friends whats going on and he told me he heard a rumor about me smoking weed on the job and that i was fired. i'v been trying to get the managers attention to prove my innocents with the help of his(managers) friend.my old supervisor said that lie because he hated me.

why couldnt they just confront me directly about it? instead they lied to me and i was left in the dark about whats going on

for them dealing with it passively is easiest, simple as that, less conflict
>>
If they fire you, they need to pay you

If they keep you in the dark, they don't

You aren't getting your job back; you should move on
>>
>>1841964
This. Not sure if you're in the US, but keeping you in the dark will defer unemployment claims. You need to get them to give you a straight answer.

>If you have had 5 different jobs in the past 8 years then you are unreliable.

WHAT? That's each job for over a year. Whaddya want? Sometimes the grass is greener? Do they really hold that sorta stuff against a guy, or is that just to embarrass you into commitment, and avoid expanding your options?

I've had 5 jobs in the last 5 years but I guarantee I can program circles around the guy who held two jobs in that time, with all that I learned from those different companies. I guess they have a point though, I am probably unreliable, I already want to drop everything and move to FL 2 months into my current job, fucking sick of the midwest.

The ONLY legitimate way to "get rich quick" is to sell other people bullshit advice on how to "get rich quick". Its kind of crazy just how many desparate idiots are in this world would pay for self help and generic motivational crap. I'm seriously considering to start my own website to sell idiots on how to get rich quick. And the great thing about this business model is that its completely legal.

Who would be hired as a professional short term trader:

Someone who has been studying only 5 select stocks for 3 years

Or

Someone who tries to predict happenings for any stock

Both of those guys sound like people who have no idea how the market works and I doubt either of them would be hired for anything.

1. People specialize, yeah, but 5 stocks is a hell of a narrow specialty.

2. "Predict happenings for any stock" -- Son, if you think you can do that, you've been smoking too much weed.

Does anyone here use it?

>>
>Is robinhood a good app to buy stock on?
Depends. If you're a beginner, like me, yes. Because it is very easy to use and every trade is free of commission. However, it does have it's moments where something will glitch and get messed up. But not anything too major.

>Does anyone here use it?
Yes. Look for the daily /rgt/ threads.
>>
>>1844115
thank you.

are there any fees that i should know about? or is it all just free?

I just put in my bank account info =] cant wait to start buying tomorrow.
>>
>>1844122
No fees. If you buy a stock for 30 cents and sell for 31. You make one cent.

If you buy then sell the same stock in One day you get a "day trade" it's luster at the bottom of your account. 3 day trades are allowed per 5 trading days. (Rolling not calander).

Hope you are right. I'm a bit scared what happens after ETF.

I'm a NEET that has only $500. I often hear on here that investing is useless without tens of thousands, what can you say about these methods then?

>I'm a NEET that has only $500

margin trading.
>>
>>1842475
No everything you listed is rigged or has bad odds.

Best thing on that list is binary options but vanilla options are more flexible and have a higher return.

>vanilla options cost to much
OptionsHouse is a good broker.

>binary options
>price movements on a small set of products
>vanilla options
>1000s of underlying
>long and short exercise
>greek trades
>long and short premium trades
>write options
>option spreads (options that offset each other)
>strangles, stradles, butterflies, condors

Use your NEET time to go through the free classes on CBOE for a week and learn about stocks. Then use your $500 to go long/short.

I'm learning to code on codeacademy.com but I'm starting to feel like I'm missing out on a lot. Should I pay $10-25k for a good bootcamp? I have about 8 hours a day I can devote to studying and programming. Anyone have any experience with online bootcamps?

If I go through with it I'll be financing the tuition and I can afford the monthly payments. If all goes well I would get a job making a good deal more than I make now so it would be worth the investment. Just wondering if it's really hard to get hired with no degree, no experience, just a boot camp.

Studying programming means shit unless you're

1. Building specific projects to show off to employers. Nothing retarded like a video game with kawaii anime girls.
2. Studying for an official exam

codeacademy or any of those bootcamps are literally meant for 12-15 year old pajeets and asian kids.

>Should I pay $10-25k for a good bootcamp?

no.

You can get lots of online resources for free and some good stuff for a small monthly subscription.

For example lynda has some good stuff for just a few $$$'s a month.
