What if you invested your 1 million into stocks in 2007? Then you would've lost a significant portion of your starting capital. You could possibly be down to $500,000 or less and earning very minor dividends, maybe 5% if you're lucky.

You're also not accounting for taxes.

So yeah it's a nice way to go, but not foolproof. basing 100% of your income on $1 mil isn't great unless you have a lot saved up to get you through downturns.

I'm in California. So If I had a bill over 4 years old it can be cleared by law after that time period.

But also try what I did. just start calling the credit agencies, Equifax, Transunion and Experian. Challenge the bill say you don't agree with them and want it removed.
