You can't just go and make other people into what you'd want them to be. While you can try to encourage someone to do something or support them, the basic ideas need to come from them. If you deeply disagree with someone's life choices, you'll have no other recourse but to deal with it or just not confront yourself with that person anymore.

If you need to undo damage, the answer is not to go back to reasonable levels. You have to go past that into the territory of extra benefit. Say no to the shitty food outside of work too. Limit your alcohol to zero per day. Normalcy is the luxury of people already in a good place.

From there we start talking about random stuff and she's telling me she's going to this music festival we've been talking about for a while. She says "it'll be fun, we'll hold hands and have a magical time the entire weekend". I give her a little bit of shit, just playful joking around like always and ask her to go out tomorrow night. She says yes and we set up a time.

This all leads to my current conundrum. How do I approach tonight? I'm pretty neutral. If she's into me cool, if not, I have other options atm. Idk, one moment I'm gag material then next she's flirting Do I treat it as a date, or do i just treat as two people having drinks and see where things go?
