How can I explain to my sociology professor and racist black classmates that white privilege doesn't exist without getting suspended? Every class I have to sit through these anti white racist lectures about how its all white peoples fault that black people are stereotyped for dressing like thugs, or that they are poor when they don't want to work or that they get shot at by the police when they try and assault them. what makes me even more angry is that I have to go to school and work simultaneously and have to take the bus. I live in an apartment with 3 roommates. I grew up with a single mom and my sister and me were abused by her and her boyfriends. My sister was raped I was raped. We had to deal with their nasty second hand smoke and their fighting and beatings. It was disgusting and we came so far and worked hard and to be called privileged is slander. Im writing a paper for the midterm entitled "Debunking the racist myth of white privilege" but the professor didnt approve my topic and is making me write a topic on how the police "unfairly target black people" even though plenty of white people, including me, have been mistreated by the police as well. What do I do? I cant afford to drop the class I need the credits.
