Hey /adv/, maybe you have an idea as to what's going on here. Basically about 5 weeks ago I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend (yes I know you're not supposed to and that it's stupid). We used the pull out method. The night after I went out with some friends to a bar and I got spiked and vomited. From the day after I got spiked until now I have been feeling constant random waves of nauseous ness and my stomach hurting. Also an aversion to oily foods.
My breasts are not sore or anything, no other "symptoms". I got my period at the usual time exactly 2 weeks after that time I had sex.
So basically, to give the timeline the sex occurred on the 19th feb and my period 5th of March. However I'm still feeling terrible nausea.
I've read online that some people were pregnant and still has periods. The last time I did a test was just before my period which is too soon anyway. I'm gonna double check with another test I'll buy tomorrow but I'm just wondering what the odds are.
And if it's not is it possible to just still be feeling sick from the spike, because I thought your system will flush it out quickly and I vomited that night anyway.

Pull out method when done correctly is as effective as condoms. As long as you didnt go for round two and he didnt come inside you, or he didnt jack it since after the last time he peed, id say chances are very low.

Hello /adv/, I'm trying to escape my NEET-dom and become a functioning of member of society, and I need your help.
I'm rearranging my references and narrowing them down to 5 individuals. I want to ask:
Should I include the most prestigious/highest ranking references, or the references that I worked more closely with, still are important individuals, but are less prestigious? The lower ranking references would provide a more fiery support for me, but don't look as immediately impressive as the big names.
Should I aim for a combination of both?

Also make sure they know you put them as reference persons so they aren't surprised if anybody ever contacts them.

They all know and are comfortable with being my references.
I've only had 1 job and 1 internship.
My issue is that the people who know what I did the best + Are most enthusiastic about me are in so much lower positions than some of other references, who are in drastically higher positions but don't know me as well.
That's my conundrum.

I typically give my supervisor and their supervisor. If i am limited in the number of references i can include I give the person who knows me better.
It also depends on the job I'm applying for as I've worked for two completely different organizations

My husband (unexpectedly) came inside me last night, so I took the morning-after pill today. Now he's pissed off that I took the pill without discussing it with him first. Thing is, I have made it very clear that I want to wait until at least my late twenties before popping out babies. What really stood out was the fact there were 10 convos after mine, and all were around the same november/decebember/early january dates. I put the phone down and left.
I really really regret this, I know I shouldn't have.

Hey /adv/, tech newfag here. I have a PC with an fx-8370 @ 4.5 GHz, and a gtx 770. I'm hearing that dx12 will improve performance with amd processors and graphics, but I want to be able to play games like Arma 3 at above 35 fps, which probably won't see dx12 support. Should I try to sell my processor and motherboard for an i5, or try to sell my 770 for an amd card to match my processor?

If you want to upgrade something, start with getting Intel CPU with highest frequency. (more cores doesn't mean better performance for games, frequency does).

Its too convenient to let it reduce cpu priority through the OS and increase priority to the game specifically. There are other free programs but cpucores is just so much easier as a one click solution. Also I have a fx8350 with a R9 290x. I get 73fps. Just generally though, it seems like the Intel processors can do shit like emulation better, and is significantly better at CPU intensive games, even at the same price point. I dunno, if I could sell my 8370 and the mobo, and get a 6600k and a mobo for $100-$150 more, is it worth the investment.

Hey Guys, Last week i taught my cat how to use the computer. I've been in a rut for the past two years or so. I am currently halfway through my graduate program, but I haven't been feeling as motivated as I would like to. Don't get me wrong, I was excited to start graduate school, but the timing of life events have made this an experience quite difficult to succeed in.
I was dumped one week prior to starting my grad program after being in the relationship for six years because I was too quiet and introverted. I have been amicable with my ex since then, who has been suffering from depression for a while. I still have feelings towards him, but he doesn't. I also still harbor resentment after he cheated on me during the relationship. I tried my best to help restore the relationship following the incident, but with no avail.
I've been feeling quite lonely for last year or so, trying to foster friends and relationships that I lost during the last seven years. I want deep connections with people, but it has been quite difficult.
Most days than not I feel like I'm dragging my feet to get my life together and try to be more financially and emotionally independent. I know I need to reconnect with who I am since most of my identity was lost during those six years in my past relationship. However, it's been quite difficult for me.
Any advice in helping me get out of a rut?

schedule the 'fun' as well as the work. most people sit down and write out a schedule and do all they need to do, then they just crash and relax. which is nice. but at least 1/3 of that time should go to doing something you really want to do. wehther its hanging out with friends, or going out or what have you.
also no matter how long the relationship you shouldnt let it effect your real life. make that your life lesson. no one cares if you got dumped. you get a 'day' to be mopey in the outside world. after that you gotta get back into it without skipping a beat.
