I am in desperate need of legal advice.
I work in California as a third-party Caregiver for a nursing home. I reported one of the facility staff to my boss for mistreating my client, who has very advanced alzheimers. A week later they change a policy that affects our workers, so I call my boss to tell them and record it in our logs as ordered by my boss.
Today I got a call saying they have canceled my service, ever so conveniently after reporting one of their workers. While I still technically work for my company, as we are third-party, I have no work, and I have a meeting next week that they won't tell me what it's for, most likely to fire me.
Is there anything I can do? Should I get a lawyer for retaliation on whistleblowing?

Virginfag here.
In about 2 weeks I will be taking a trip to the San Diego/Tijuana area and I plan on fucking at least 3 escorts while in Tijuana. I will be going alone and will be staying for about a week.

Every time i try to be social people are totally annoyed by me and i am literally just the annoying kid nobody likes.
And if i just dont care of other people like i usually do they hate me even more up to bullying. I dont know which hurts me more so im stuck in depression and the worst thing is that it affects my grades aswell. Im currently above average but thats the only thing im clinging on, i pretty much feel that there is no point in living up to the point that when my parents argueing with me i told them that they should have aborted me like they wanted to since im not a kid they wanted.
Is there anyone who knows how to deal with this to be atleast an accepted person in school? It doesnt really matter that much anymore since i finish school in 1 year, but it could help at university. Even tough i say to myself that i dont mind being alone i still cry at night sometimes. The only reason i didnt commit suicide was because i am pretty afraid of death.

Hey /adv/. So this is my problem, and I hope that you help me to take the best decision. I went to see an ophthalmologist last week, and he prescribed me glasses with "little magnification and with anti glare"
They sell those glasses there, but the thing is that they cost $180. He told me that in general my sight is healthy, but that I need the glasses because I use my computer a lot, and my eyes get itchy, dry, and everything that comes with using the computer for long periods of time. I decide to search on amazon and found one or two glasses that look good and have the anti glare thing. My question is. Is it the same if I buy them on amazon for $40 dollars, but with their amber lenses, or will I have less regrests if I go to the ones my doctor suggested and spend $180 on some glasses that are not an emergency for me? I want to save money, but I want quality. Other thing is that, because the lenses on amazon seem to be plastic, or another material but glass, give me the feeling that they are more like children glasses.

How do I become a better conversationalist?
I've always been terrible: quiet, not sure what to say, not much to contribute, etc. When I'm in a group and I see people interacting I'm always kind of surprised at how quickly they can come up with something.
It's been getting a lot better since I started listening to some podcasts and talk radio shows (Joe Rogan, O&A, WTF) so I know it's possible to improve it. Are there any other things I should do?

Sure it's possible, but ask yourself this, do I want to be more of a conversationalist, or I want to look more like my friends? If it is the second one, you are more likely to fail. Some people are good at conversations because they know about different topics like videogames, movies, tv shows and all that. Find a little about everything. If you feel that you are not able to start a conversation, it has to be because you feel like you don't know about something, or that you know too little.

I just moved to another city for university reasons. And with this, many things are keeping me awake.
While I knew it would be hard to say goodbye (and it was), only now do I realize how difficult it will be for me to cope with not being with my family for months. I'm incredibly homesick.
I never learned many things that would help me do things by myself, like driving, cooking complex things, managing a bank account and my money, etc.
I'm sharing a house with some friends, but we're not close, and I feel that their company won't be enough for me to feel any less "lonely". And since I've never been a "social" person, I fear I won't be able to meet new people.
How do I fix some of these things? I'm homesick, not particularly social, and I don't know shit about the world. Please help.
