Games can be designed to be fun when you're invincible, and WarioLand 4 is a good example, but this isn't automatically true at ALL.

If I just want to play a game with puzzles, nine times out of ten I'll go for a point-and-click adventure game. I play platformers primarily FOR the challenge of running and jumping "in exactly the right way to avoid the projectile..." etc.

I don't really like point and click. I do like side-scrollers like Mario Bros 3 or Sonic 2 with the cheats on so you don't take damage. You should try it if you haven't already, it's way more relaxing and fun.

it depends what you're looking for out of the game., do you want a multiplayer Tetris?, do you want a vanilla bare-bones Tetris?, or do you want a Tetris with "modern" features like infinite spinning and ghost pieces


personally, the NES version is my favorite.

This can vary wildly based on how you play it.
Let's just say there are two scenarios, and you're booted into each of them based on a choice you make at the beginning (you don't know the choice at the time).
So, one of the scenarios is pretty good, while the other feels like a ton of filler battles strung together.

If you got the first scenario, it's a pretty good game.
If you got the second scenario, it can be a chore.

A lot of games have better 3D than FM. For SRPGs, I don't think you'll get better than FF Tactics, but that's more 2D than 3D.
