If you're after imports, shop Japanese retailers Amiami or HLJ. Use paypal to buy from them. Do your homework on a figure so you don't overpay. Starting out, you WILL overpay but try to keep it to a minimum. Lurk around here and find out what's good and what's not, what to look for in a figure and what to expect from a company. Set a budget and prioritize. Get a quality shelf or cabinet and set up an attractive display. /toy/ collectors are autistic and maladjusted so don't take it to heart if you post and someone spergs out over your comment. Open you goddamn toys, don't leave them imprisoned in boxes. Avoid Funko at all costs. Welcome to collecting.

I'm torn because I like Usagi, and this figure has more articulation than most TMNT figures, but I just really don't like how it looks. Mostly the length of the arms and the size of the head bug me. I feel like his arms are too long and his head is to small.

Alright guys. I don't come here often because you guys always make me want to spend my money. Luckily I'll usually click around online to find that most of the nicer toys i'd like to have are easily out of my price range (or at least the range in which my wife would bitch at me). But this time I clicked a link half-hoping to be disappointed.

I actually don't give a shit about DS2 but this armor set is probably my favorite to look at in DS3 and that is by itself enough for me to buy it. Problem is that it appears to only be sold by GameStop. Fuck GameStop.
I'm looking for your assistance in one of two places;
Convince me that the price is too low and the quality is likely dubious. I don't know toy companies all that well. Is this one shit?

With little to no hype for sentinel to announce more figures in the line during WonFest, do you think 4INCH-Nel is in danger of cancellation ? A few signs:
1. I've read many comments about ppl not wanting a figure in this scale, even if its their only chance of getting a character they won't get in another line.
2. I bought both Ryoma and Classic Megaman and liked both quite a bit, even if I prefer Ryoma by a small margin because it feels sturdier and has an interesting paintjob...
But then I've seen both figures on sale on Amiami & HLJ, so I'm pretty sure they weren't best sellers...Hayato from GR is being released as an exclusive (and too pricey because Benkei) so GR fans got fucked over with that, which doesn't create a good precedent.
3. X will be out of scale with Megaman and there's no prototype of Zero yet.
I hope I'm proven wrong and see more releases from them since Sentinel is consistently interested in smaller/older franchises and usually deliver good products.

Yeah, I know. I mean, we got the DC Multiverse line with a decent Reeve Supes, sucks that the line was cancelled.
The Man of Steel basic line would've been alright if the figures had knees and such and other characters besides all the weird Superman variants. Anywayyyyyyy, on a positive note: the DCC Lee Bermejo Supes is pretty good. So is the Greg Capullo one if you're not against the N52 suit.

My issue with the headdress is that the whole point of wearing such a huge thing is for it to be striking. Making it a solid chunk of silver with some minor paint job defeats the purpose and makes look cheap instead of rich. I think it would look good with a dark base color and silver paint for the rib-like details on it, which is pretty much how the rest of the figure goes.

You're just too used to seeing things artificially weathered and aged over misconceptions of relics sitting untouched inside dusty tombs or buried in mud and ash.
When stuff was new, it didn't need anything but high end metals to denote your wealth and power.
Everything else about the skelelady looks brand new and shiny.
