How?

Is that a FAMAS?
>>34110483
wtf am I looking at?
So I'm buying one of these tomorrow for $600. I know I can get en bloc clips for next to nothing.
What else should I consider buying to compliment it?
Where can I find cheap .30-06 to fuck around with?
Are you buying out of want or necessity? Because if you can be Jewish for 5-10 years then you can afford to get a place where you can shoot off your deck instead of driving to the range.
>>34110378
get an adjustable gas plug so you can shoot modern .30-06
get a bayonet
then an entire WWII web gear kit
>>34110404
nice dubs
Gas plug is a must. I've got one in mine that I can switch between and it definitely is nice being able to shoot hot .30-06 through it.
If you want to go period-correct, get a bayo and some web gear, but I fucking swear if you're one of those retards who gets a shitty 1907 sling for a rifle made after 1945

Are you really that surprised? At least our own media has pundits now and again who distinguish terms used, but across the pond, a used brass casing in a sewer pipe would send half a city into mass panic and SAS deployed on every street corner.
What is the cutest vehicle and why is it the UAZ 469?
Because a Jimny flat deck is way cuter desu.

Get fucked.
Visiting my father in Maryland next weekend and plan to take him shooting. I'll be shooting my sig p320. Does anyone know if it's illegal to shoot at a range in this state with a "high capacity" Magazine? I read up on the laws and it says you are not allowed to "transfer" magazines with a capacity of greater than 10 rds. Would handing my pistol over to the range staff to inspect it or letting my fatehr shoot it be considered "transferring"?
Have any of you all had any weird experiences with guns in non-free states like NJ, NY, CA, MD?
>>34109868
My advice to you? Either drive the extra distance to VA or Deleware and shoot there (no mag limit) or don't bring your own gun, rent.
If you must bring your SIG, don't tell anyone about it, don't bring the mags up, and don't load past 10 rounds. If anyone questions you, say they're pinned.
>>34109868
god that's such a fuck ugly pistol
>>34109903
Jesus Christ. I know it's not illegal to possess a mag there but I bring the sig in a case that has the mags in it. I usually hand the case over for the range staff to look at

Nope. I don't care if it's good or not.
I'm gun illiterate and looking for a nice looking accurate pistol.
>>34109760
Any pretty modern revolver will be plenty accurate, but looks are subjective, what are you looking for exactly? Sleek lines? Engraving? Nice bluing? A Classic look? A E S T H E T I C ?
>>34109792
I was actually thinking of a double-action revolver. I'm just not comfortable with the mag size.
Engravings look really nice but are probably very expensive. I guess I want a nice long barreled pistol with aesthetic.

I know that this may not be a question on weapons specifically, but I need a solution for it anyway. So the niggers of the bird world, also known as geese, have been terrorizing my neighborhood, they're shitting everywhere, they're eating the bird seed my neighbors put out for decent birds, and they've even been harassing my cat. Do any of you have any tactics for silently/quietly eliminating these obnoxious shit heads? I don't mind if they suffer, but I'd rather not have to go through the trouble of having some soccer mom see a wounded goose and try to '"save" it from my righteous fury. Any suggestions are welcome, just keep in mind my choice of weapons is pretty limited (all I have is a shitty walmart air rifle and an equally shitty bow) so some kind of trap or snare would be a very good option.

>nofuns
>looking to get first gun
>want it for concealed carry because Houston
>narrowed it down to Shield & G43
>go to store to handle them both
>shield feels very top heavy (maybe better when loaded?)
>shield is much cheaper ($75 rebate right now)
>G43 feels better in hand (again, may change when loaded)
Leaning towards the shield. Is there anything else I should consider??
I'm concerned once they are loaded they will feel totally different, but no rental ranges around here has them to try.
>>34109338
>Is there anything else I should consider??
Yeah, a full size so you can practice, or shoot them before you buy them.
>>34109364
Can't shoot before I buy. Can't find any rental ranges with them to try. Hardly any full services ranges around here.
I'll get a full size for fun eventually, but that's not gonnna be my first buy at all, can't carry it.
I would shoot both and decide which one you like better. G43's are arguably the better gun as far a quality goes but some people like the shield better. Personally I think that stupid hook trigger that S&W uses is horrible but to each his own.
I'm really good friends with one of the managers at the grocery store I work at and he told me his dad fought in the Philippines during WWII and that he brought home a Japanese rifle. I asked if I could take a look at it sometime because I think old guns are neat and to see if I could find out if it was worth anything for him and maybe buy it off of him if it isn't crazy rare or of great value, assuming he can find it.
The extent of my knowledge of rifles from Japan during WWII is the Type 38 and Type 99 Arisakas, and that most of the Emperor's crest stamped into the receivers were scratched off around the end of the war, so the ones with the crests intact are worth more than those without. Other than that I'm going in pretty blind. He said his dad served in 1943 so any rifles used around that time would be fair game, he also said it has flip-up sights, it came with a bayonet, and has a bit of surface rust. Anything I should look for in particular? How much would something like this be worth?
>>34109330
$300-1000. Depends on a lot of stuff. Probably closer to 300 though.
>>34109330
>the ones with the crests intact are worth more than those without.
The only time an intact 'mum adds a significant amount to the value of a Japanese rifle is if that rifle also retains all it's original matching parts.
>>34109361
I would assume all the parts are matching if his dad just brought home and never touched it afterwards

Why arent all weapons built to be silenced?
>>34109040
Because it cost money to thread the muzzle of a weapon , for an attachment that most folk do not consider buying currently.
Low reward for high risk.( loss on the cost in, in hopes someone will buy it for the fact it can be supp.)
If you're getting a can you can likely afford the charge to get something threaded properly.
added weight, added length, suppressors make guns real dirty real fast, revolvers are a thing and gas systems need adjusting. you can make a case for most guns but even if american laws regulating suppressors when away who wants to deal with another 5-6 inches on their cc let alone even bothering if it was a revolver?
>>34109040
suppressors are specialized devices, and are unnecessary or even a liability in certain situations.
Anyone know what lower and upper this is? I want to build my first AR. I already have a .223 and want to do a 9mm build

Interested in picking up an FN-49 for my collection
Which caliber should I try to get? So many damn choices. Interested in whichever will wear out the mechanicals the least, so things like .30-06 (which the rifle was not designed for, but instead was modified to use by the purchasing country) kinda scare me.
>>34108970
I believe the rifle was originally designed for 8mm, so I wouldn't worry about 30-06 wearing it out faster. I have actually been looking for one in 30-06 for awhile, but they aren't terribly common.
>>34108970
30-06 rifles were made from scratch by FN as well, so I wouldn't be wary of those
and IIRC the original caliber for it was 7.65 belgian (or argentine, it's listed as both)
