How long till we see soldiers being dropped into combat in the same style as ODSTs?
as soon as you stop making halo threads faggot

I don't know how they even survived reentry, in the lore the Covenant have scary good PD lasers.

Protagonist power.
What do you guys think about this little gun? I am considering buying it as I'm looking for a nice .22 and have only heard good things about this one.
>>34114398
Got one sitting next to me. It's really fun at the range. Totally worth the money. You could probably use it for HD in a pinch, but I don't recommend it. It's really fun to stay on target and just dump, though. Magazines are pricey, but they do make a 50 round drum for it. Looking to get one now, actually.
>>34114398
It's a fun little gun.
Pros:
Last round bolt hold open
HK style drum sights
Magazines are superior to BX25 (IMO - lighter, easier to load, can easily see # of rounds remaining)
Collapsible stock is nice
That HK slap for the charging handle
Recoil spring is adjustable to allow you to "tune" your gun to run with other types of ammo. It won't cycle subsonics, but you can adjust the gun to shoot stingers and other hyper velocity rounds.
The gun has a good, solid feel to it - it's heavier than a 10/22 but it feels nice
Cons:
Have to buy a proprietary claw mount if you're wanting to mount a red dot/scope
Collapsible stock isn't as comfortable as a fixed stock, I replaced mine
Mags are about $30 each, I had to order mine via the interwebz
Heavier than a 10/22, if you're a weight snob this may be a deal breaker
A .22lr Bore snake is a must, this is NOT a gun that is designed to be taken apart to where you can get full access to the barrel and taking it apart beyond a basic breakdown will void your warranty.
Having made the mistake of breaking it down 90% of the way (I had a DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO moment as I was cleaning it at the 5k round mark) suffice it to say I actually find myself in agreement with the manufacturer.
I have about 7k rounds through mine and the only issues I've encountered have been with subsonics. It's eaten every other 22lr I've put it in it without a problem (aguila, thunderbolt, stingers, CCI, magtech, winchester)
The MP5A5 is perfect if you want a tacticool 22lr blaster. Instead of buying a 10/22 and then buying a replacement stock and a bunch of aftermarket parts, it's ready to go as is.
However; if you're wanting to mount a scope or are looking for something target grade, you would be better served purchasing a 10/22.
Personally, I am happy with mine. I have a CZ 455 for target shooting, and I prefer to run my guns with irons and will do so until my eyes start to betray me in a decade or two.

I HAVE ONE TOO AND I FUCKING LOVE IT. This guy I'm replying to down below pretty much said it all. The only thing that I'm going to say is that it's a dream to shoot and I wish I had more than one magazine for it (which I will, soon). I got mine for like $400 two years ago.
>>34115532
I actually also made the mistake of breaking it down all the way. I was in for a surprise when the fucking thin ass buffer spring popped out and shot across my room. It's a miracle I found the three little pieces that go along with it.
gecko thinks he knows shit all about anything addition.

Keymod #1 killer, only used by fancy dogs
I seem to prefer this quite extraordinary sniper rifle over many a lot more high tech sniper rifles that certainly do the job, and see the high tech sniper rifles (that cost just a couple o' dollars less) as leftovers that need to be recycled and put into rubble. What do you think?
I don't think you've ever touched one. Let alone any "high tech sniper rifle" to warrant an opinion on anything other than aesthetics.
>>34114344
I think you've never touched a rifle outside of cawadooty. Come back here when you're 18.
Ah, as I imagined, classic 4channers, I still love you, though, ahh, have a nice day y'all!
Mostly Armaments but also other police gear.

>>34114304
the one that doesn't exist
side arm
>MP5K slung under the arm
rifle in the back of squad car
>XM-177 Commando
Uniform
>skin tight shirts w/ extra strong buttons so they can be super tight without breaking
>tight leather pants
>aviator sunglasses
>handlebar mustaches are mandatory
also all officers must follow a strict workout plan so they can have huge sexy muscular bodies that look like they're gonna rip their clothes open. also they aren't allowed to shave their body hair
What are some good concealed carry ranged weapons that aren't a gun?
I usually have a knife and pepper spray, but I want something that'll help out some more distance between me and an attacker. Doesn't have to be lethal.
Anyone know of anything /k/?
Yes.

I don't come here so apologies in advance because I know this thread has been done.
Asked for a P320 for my birthday, received a VP9 which had already been purchased when I brought up the P320 (good call, very similar)
However, I still feel like I want a P320. I specifically wanted the Romeo version so that, in a worst-case scenario, my video game playing girlfriend could have an EZ optical aid to assist her.
Thoughts on VP9 vs P320? 9mm for both. The VP9 is my first new pistol and the slide sticks out of the box. I feel like I don't like that but I don't know how normal it is. Would a gun shop accept an unfired VP9 in trade for a regular P320?
>>34113834
>Would a gun shop accept an unfired VP9 in trade for a regular P320?
might only give you a in store credit of about 300-350, as they will treat it as USED even if you have never fired it. I just bought a P320 RX this weekend because I had rented a reg 320 and loved the trigger and recoil. never fired or finger banged a VP9 so I don't know how they compare.
>>34113878
hmm, maybe i can find someone online to swap it with..but that's probably a bad idea, i hate anything used
fuck. a reflex optical for the vp9 probably costs like 300 by itself, doesn't it?
>>34113903
>a reflex optical for the vp9 probably costs like 300 by itself, doesn't it?
go window shopping on line, but 300 would be a safe bet.

Why does the fact that it was poisoned have any relevance? Certainly it wouldn't have acted that quick.

How does the /k/orps train? Weights? Calisthenics? Personally I spend about an hour and a half each afternoon beating a tractor tire with a 20lb sledgehammer.

No, not a sixty pound ruck, but still, table connectors are fucking unwieldy and quite heavy.

Let me guess, you really love Gunsmith Cats don't you?
Nigga, we have a CZ thread.
In any case, that's the fatal flaw of buying an SP-01 or P-01. You hold one in your hand and realize, "Man... this nearly three pounds of fuck you feels pretty good in my palm, but how awesome would it look if I put it in a shoulder holster?"

Hello, /k/. I need your ugliest guns, especially rifles. I need them to look at.
