I would get my son or daughter to swim, and stay away from injury prone sports like wrestling or football. I might put him on HGH just for good measure at age 15 so he becomes extra tall.

His diet would consist of healthy fats and protein, absolutely no processed foods. Lots of green vegetables and spinach everyday. Some carbs for lunch so he can do well at sports practice.

My doctor told my my thyroid hormone was SLIGHTLY high, so does that mean I have an increased metabolism? I'm fat, but losing weight should be slightly easier, correct?

Medfag here. I spent some time training with an endocrinologist (i.e. the hormone specialists). I knew a bunch of retards on the Internet use "muh thyroid" as an excuse, so I asked him "Sir, how much weight gain or weight loss can be attributed to thyroid dysfunction?" His answer was 5lbs. Specifically, he cited an example where a lady's TSH was hundreds time the normal limit, as would be in a hypothyroid state. When that was normalized with thyroid supplement, she lost 5 lbs. I saw a follow-up patient who had stable Grave's disease (a hyperthyroid state). When I compared her weight from before she went on the meds and now when she was euthyroid, she had gained 7lbs, I think.

In short, your thyroid doesn't stop you from being a fat fuck. You know what will? Calorie deficit, drinking water, and getting your ass in the gym.

Oh I have not achieved either 3x bodyweight squat or 4x bodyweight deadlift. But I have achieved the first 2 and am getting closer to the 3rd. 4th seems almost impossible but even if I never get there I'm still stronger than 99% of /fit/.
