Newfag here. How can I increase my gains in my lats, so that I can become a flying squirrel and leave humanity behind? I've been doing latt pull downs (3x8 55 kg) and low rows (3x8 50 kg), but don't notice a lot of growth in my lats. Perhaps I have shitty form

this. treat the weighted pull ups just like any other exercise. 5x5 and increase the weight. on other days unweighted with as many reps as possible

heavy rows. protip: you should row as much as you bench. If you dont, it will lead to muscular imbalances sooner or later and you're leaving pounds on the bench. start taking rowing more seriously. And if there's one exercise where you should use straps, its for rows.

Then go down in a similar manner.

Dont aim for the numbers. Just keep feeling your lats and they will grow.

My friend can do 20 pull ups but his lats are quite small because he does it so fast. He fell for the max pull ups number meme.

I only do 8x6 pull ups ( wide - neutral grips - no weight) on my back day and my lats are thick and wide.
