Yes, for real. The program is literally built for novices or those who have taken long breaks from lifting.
Expect everything to have changed. Lifting is not the same as it used to be last year. Hell, it's not even the same it was 3 months ago!

I generally do half the volume of my previous workouts then bump that back up over a week or two. It prevents crippling doms, and you're just making neural adaptations anyway so why shred your muscles.
