Recently, I talked to my friends dad that used to be a pro body builder, and he said that he'd help me get jacked. He said that he got down to only 6% body fat.
I'm a pretty lanky guy, and really don't know the slightest thing about working out really.

im betting you are now getting gains from the high blood sugar and hunger part of the side effects, more energy to recover and muscle regeneration, but all the side effects are not worth it,
when the treatment ends go to caffeine pills, plain coffee or preworkers, and a good diet, but imo continuing with the pill will do more hurt than benefit

6'1, started at 195lbs, now at ~180lbs.
I should be eating ~2000 calories, but I'm hard cutting at ~1250 because I have no access to a gym.
Been on a cut for the past month, but I'm at a bit of a plateau now at 180 where it won't go down too much anymore and there's still quite a bit of fat in places I'd like to see it gone.
Is it just going down slower, or will I have to change something? Also, how long does it usually take?
Sorry if I sound like a faggot that should read the sticky. I'm new to bulk/cutting.
I should also mention that I'm cutting because I want to get to a certain weight before I start eating at a surplus when I finally get access to a gym.

1) don't use a scale to track your progress, use a measuring tape instead, weight depends on a lot more than just bodyweight/fat
2) 1250 is too extreme, that's what fighters cut at to lose a few pounds before a weight in. it's not something you should be doing for a longer time. start at 1800 or so, and if you are losing weight too slowly (or too fast), adjust it until it's right.

Yes, it's not actually an equivalent hip hinging pattern at all. A hex bar "deadlift" is actually more similar to a leg press than anything else.

I'm far too beta to go to a gym, so I've invested in a barbell and dumbells, and a quality bench.

That's not entirely true. You can start to see results in 4-6 weeks if you're skinny and start lifting. It shows on skinny guys better than fatties.

Start lifting now because you can make progress in regards to technique and muscle activation.
You won't really get your muscles any bigger while dieting away the fat, but you're gonna have to do it at some point so do it first, because making gains is better and more optimal with less fat on you.
You need to start lifting immediately, I made the mistake of only doing cardio and fixing my nutrition to get down from 110 to 80kg at 6ft and now I'm still fat but with no muscle
