They're expensive, take time to use, and only do one thing. Like if you were making soft serve for lots of people regularly it might make sense but if it's just for you then I dunno.
Unless you have unlimited time and money and love soft serve then go for it

You're basically braising it so you'll need water or broth or stock. Add any vegetables and seasoning you like and when it's about 30 minutes from done start a pot of rice.

Where can an American get some quality chocolate? I don't particularly care for most Mars chocolate products and the vast majority of chocolate I find in grocery stores just has this waxy, plastic taste about it. Where can I find some good chocolate? Milk or dark, I like both, but I prefer dark. Can anyone recommend me some chocolate that is accessible to an American? I'm in California if that matters.

What does /ck/ think of kombucha? I just ordered my first scoby and I finally have all the containers to brew the stuff in. Thinking about doing a mango-lime-ginger type thing for the first batch.
Any of you guys brew kombucha? Tips? Flavors you recommend trying to make? If you don't make it but buy bottled kombucha, what's your favorite brand?

I brew my own, my last batch didn't come out very carbonated, but it tasted fine so it was all good.
For flavors some of my favorites are Apple/cinnamon, pineapple/coconut, and passion fruit juice.
I don't buy any pre-bottled because i can't afford that expensive stuff lul

I've been to the same store maybe seven, maybe eight times already. Always looking at the cheese selection with lots of koreans around me....sort of strange there's so many koreans in this neck of the woods....maybe there's development happening idk. Basil, oregano... lots of herbs costing me a fortune. But the Indian store also stocks a lot of herbs. I don't like Indian. Hmm, buying grog next door I usually get some sort of Red...... not too expensive not too cheap.....maybe the girlfriend would like it? She's been out of my life for 5 years now but it's still a thought I had. Not that it matters when I've drunk the whole thing 5 cigarretes later.....maybe watch a bit of netflix. This is friday night we are talking about. Saturday is more or less the same. I've ordered pizza, mcdonalds, kfc all delivered to my door late at night. Probably tried everything on the menu but..... think pizza is still the best. Kfc gives me the shits. Also trying to find something watch and sometimes I just watch youtube..... compilations of stuff you wouldn't believe. Arctic videos. Cringe. It goes on. But around 4am I'll be in bed anyway. Weird halllucinations maybe. A couple of pork chops down the road and I've got myself tomorrow's dinner... filipino girl next to me buying some sirloin. I want to but really....I can't. Not today anyway. She leaves and waggles her butt out the door. Just seeing and wondering. Whatever. Pork, potatoes, beans, carrots and french fries? I didn't make em. Just ordered and it took 20 minutes after food was ready. Pork is chewy so I didn't cook it right. Going to the park and wishing I had maybe a pet or something. Might see the kids soon but not sure if I have to go away for work next fortnight or the week after.... I'll find out. Going to make coffee now (milk + cinammon)

Please buy some rice to serve with, you need carbohydrates for energy. Also if you have some oil, like olive oil sprinkle it on top of your food in generous amounts so that you are maintaining a caloric surplus, thus you are not starving.
