What's the best way to make pleather look weathered? It's a shiny silver jacket but I don't want it to look so costumey.

This is kind of a bizarre question but I want to make sure I have the terminology correct. I want to create a dress with that is fitted in the bodice and flares out at the bottom with minimal bulk/gathering at the waist. I think that style of dress would be called an "a-line dress/gown" but I can't seem to find any commercial patterns that look quite right. Is my terminology wrong? Is my google-fu weak?

How would I go about making the helmet on this guy? Ive never done anything like it as I mostly work with armor but Id really like to. If anything, anyone know anybody who could make the helmet for a good price?

Also recommendations for the shoulder cape?

I've never been to any of my local comm's (Moscow, to be exact) meetups yet I'm into Lolita for so long, I was thinking about attending the next meetup, but for some reason I don't feel comfortable going there - I'm paranoid that I won't be able to fit in because it feels like everyone knows each other and I'm the one who's "out of nowhere"

I know this dress only barely qualifies as lolita, but any non stock worn pics of Ball of Starlight, especially the wine colorway? I love this dress but have zero clue how to wear it.
