Kinda have to agree with >>9337490 on this one. Peignoirs are pretty out of style at this point, but if you're set on wearing one, just make sure it's the same length as your dress or shorter.

Good quality materials; a gathered waist to emphasize the silhouette; appropriate length (floor length peignoirs paired with knee high dresses always look awful); and small details that will make it work with the fashion's aesthetic (good quality lace, ruffles, etc.). Be careful when picking one out just like you would with every other item because not every $5 vintage peignoir is going to work with lolita. Personally I'd say the ones that are made specifically for lolita (pic related) are often your best option.

It should be the same length as your dress, not shorter or longer. Make sure it's nipped in at the waist/matches the waist cut of whatever dress you're wearing. Same for the arms--you don't want peignor sleeves clashing with your blouse/
