Electrical apprentice here. I wire homes and commercial buildings under the supervision of a journeyman.
I really need to go back to school and get my bachelor degree. Trade life is not as great as it seems. I can't escape the feeling that my potential is being wasted.
I've narrowed down my choice of majors to information assurance and security, accounting or finance. I already have an associate's in science, but it's been 2 years since I received it. My GPA was fucked down to 2.4 thanks to drinking, but I put that shit behind me. Motivation is higher than ever.
But I am stuck in choosing the right path. Accounting is stable and I have the attention to detail. Information assurance seems lucrative and noble. Finance seems thrilling.
Advice please? I'll give some of my insight and tips to those who want to get into the electrical trade.

My gf behaved weirdly recently. I found out she lied about hanging out with an old male friend this past week. When I confronted her about it, she immediately admitted that she lied because she thought I would get jealous and be insecure.
Which, I guess can be understandable except I have never kept her from hanging out with male friends or have gotten jealous. So obviously this is all rubbing me the wrong way.
When I first began to get suspicious that something's up, I went through her texts and saw her venting our relationship problems to this guy. She doesn't know I saw those texts. I asked her point blank after I confronted her about the lying if she also talked to him about our relationship problems, she lied and said no. I gave her multiple opportunities to come clean about anything, she kept insisting there was nothing else.
It kinda sounds to me like the start of a classic trickle truth. Tell me I'm wrong.

so i went on a date with this girl R (online dating app) in May. Only one date, but I was super into her and i think she was into me too, asking if i want to go on trips with her, etc
the thing is, I set a follow up date with her the following week but the evening before, I had an ex-gf come to me crying he eyes out about her life etc.

Today I was at the supermarket with my GF. In my country many supermarkets have young guys at the counter to help pack your stuff into bags and if it's a lot take it back to your car, where you are expected to pay them a tip. They literally just push the cart to your car and put everything in your trunk. Today we had bought a lot of stuff, and as my GF's mom was paying, as it was their monthly grocery shopping, I noticed the guy (let's call him packer) had finished loading the goods into the cart. I walked up to him and calmly said, "I'll take it from here, thanks" and grabbed the cart. For a moment he had this U wot m8 look on his face and looked like he was about to punch me, but let go. It helped that I am taller than my average countryman, have a beard, athletic but skinny build and since puberty a REALLY deep and gravely voice. To sum it up, I look way older than I am.
The thing is when we were about to go I heard him saying, loudly enough for me and my gf to hear, "I'll take it from here (trying to imitate my voice tone), I don't work here for free, wanker. I proceeded to ignore him and walked away, and my gf told me she had liked that, but I felt really different inside.
I have been bullied most of my school life, and have always struggled with self confidence and bravery. After reading a lot I have mustered enough self confidence to get along in my freshman college year, get some friends and a gf.
What bothered me was that today I had the same response I would have had in school. Don't respond to the attack, just look away and go away, and proceed to feel miserable and call myself a coward.
I honestly wish I had punched his face in right there, or at least verbally assassinated him, or at least confronted him. Maybe I shouldn't fret too much over it, but I'm tired of walking away. I don't care if I get punched, laughed at or worse. I just want to at the end of the day have the satisfaction of at least having the courage to stand up to my aggressors.
