I join discord servers centered around tv shows and actors I follow.
You can look up discord server list on reddit or ask around on 4chan. Or just create your own server and shill it around.
Currently writing a story, just for fun and as an exercise to improve my writing skills. If it comes out the way I want, I might share it and see how it's received.
It's a fiction story and I think it's coming along pretty well, but I have one sticking point I still haven't been able to resolve.
The story takes place at a cabin, it's not some epic tract of land or building. Just one of those weekend cabins, that commonly can be found around Mountain Lakes. Pretty rustic, two bedrooms, built in the late 60's or maybe 70's. Primarily used by group of guys.
I'm having trouble, coming up with a nickname for this cabin.
I need something that has a ring to it, something group of guys might actually call it.
Right now I just have a placeholder, since everything I've come up with just hasn't felt right.
All suggestions welcome.

You cant see the future period. Im 30 and ive had rough times and great times but it always gets better.
I dont try to predict where ill be and i dont set specific goals.
I always just live today, keep learning, and keep improving and make sure my trajectory is pointed upward.
Trying to imagine the future is a useless endeavour and only leads to distress and disappointment.
If you do set a goal, thats fine, spend less time fantasizing about it and more time on the baby steps today that lead there.
Dont get upset when life gives you a fork in the road and forces you off track. Make good with where you are now and continue to move forward.
At 20 i never could have guessed where id be and what im doing now. I might have even called you crazy if you told me (and not because youre claiming psychic powers.) and yet here i am.

If you arent growing in your job get a new one. If your friends are toxic leave them. If you live somewhere you dont like move. If youre in a bad relationship fix it or leave it.
Always learn about new opportunities.
And remember little things like this loose example: there is a perfect job(s) for you out there that will pay well and fill all your needs.
Its extremely likely you dont even know it exists right now. It still exists, and if it truly is in your future, you still need to remember that you dont know fuck about it right now.
Thats why its so important to pay attention and keep learning.

I have been chatting in a chat room for a few months now, and the community there knows me kind of. Then at one point there's this girl (yes it is a girl, she has revealed her face and voice before) who acts nice through text towards me. I don't really know if she does this to a number of people, and don't really care. The problem I have is that she offered to let me add her on Steam and then Snapchat (I only got the app to add her). She wrote to me herself that she doesn't expect or want anything back on Snapchat which made me feel weird. It's namely this that stroke me the wrong way, I just can't accept it. Why would this person do this? I've never had this happen, so I don't really know how much of a big deal it is (it could be something really small or whatever), but it just makes me feel bad. Why is this person doing this to me? I know I am unattractive and stupid and whatnot, so why? I cannot give them anything back.
I feel like telling them off nicely somehow, but no matter how one could go about doing that I feel like it would make the other person feel like they did some kind of wrong (which isn't the case at all). And if I do tell them off somehow they still chat in the chat room and that would just make things tense and stupid. I don't really know what to say to them...

Girl that I know at uni got drunk and is saying all sorts of shit via FB messaging about how she thinks I'm cute, perfect, all this stuff.
Normally I'd be over the moon but I really don't want a relationship with this person, and I'm getting a bit stressed about this.
I tried to gently let her down and reaffirm her self esteem but it doesn't seem to have worked. She herself has said that she might regret all this tomorrow so I at a certain point I said I'm ignoring the rest of her messages tonight. This seems to have set her off and through the small previews I caught messages like 'I want to die' etc. I'm not opening them up to avoid triggering the 'read' thing.
As far as I'm concerned she's lucky because if I pulled this shit with a female classmate I'd be lucky to not get dragged in front of whatever the HR equivalent is of university the next week about sexual harrassment.
The fuck do I do? I have a compulsory once a week meeting with this person in a larger group. I don't want to be responsible for whatever brash action she might take. As soon as the semester is over I plan to sever contact in all ways I can.

How do I best deal with it?
Obviously the best way to avoid it entirely is not to drink but as a college student living on campus, not drinking or even just having a couple of drinks on a night out isn't an much of option.
Personally I am a fit, healthy and confident guy who has no other issues to speak of but I just can't seem to keep it up after a night out.

How much did it cost to furnish your first apartment?
I'm looking to get my first place within the next 11 months. Thankfully, I enjoy a spartan lifestyle so I don't require a throw of wall art or knickknacks. However, fundamental costs such as bedding, living room, kitchen appliances, etc will play in the majority of my cost factor. My budget is liquid at the moment; likely anywhere between $5k to $15k depending how certain non-controllable facts play out within the next year.
Essentially, looking for advice on cost estimates, some prior experience, dos and donts, yadda yadda. Would be very appreciative of less shitposts and more qualityposts.

Is there any risk in lowering your heart rate temporarily? My normal resting heart rate is around 50 bpm, but I can lower it to below 30 for well over a minute. Is there any medical risk to this? I feel kind of weird after a minute so I try not to go beyond that.

Yes, it's bad. Your heart pumps autonomously because your body regulates amount of oxygen in your blood. Need more profusion, your heart beats faster. If you are somehow consciously denying your body the proper oxygen it is demanding to function, then you are basically suffocating yourself.
But again your heart is controlled by your SA node, not your brain directly. Unless you have mastery over two autonomous functions, I believe you are mistaken.
