Why did Miang kill most people in Zeboim graveyard dead? Didn't Deus just need as many human parts as possible to regenerate? Why does it matter if people are 'selfish' or whatever? What special condition did Deus need people to be in anyway, because people by the end of the game weren't any less fucked up than the Zeboim residents.
Also, what are Wels supposed to be exactly? I mean, Deus needs human parts, but then has them eat each other... I don't understand this. I looked it up on the Xeno wiki and they don't give much info, not even any conjectures on what the word 'Wels' may have come from.

What do you mean by technical? Virtua Fighter is bare bones; punch, kick, block, while Tekken focuses on keeping the combos going. They're both technical in different ways, how does one measure which one is 'more' technical?

You know, I'm playing Fallout for the first time, and it's interesting, but I'm not yet seeing the part that makes people really rave about it. So far I've done the following:I'm doing my first ever playthrough as max stone with just a 'clear the objective' in mind. I've started by taking the overseer's advice and went to vault 15, fought some rats, left, went south, found the necropolis and got creeped out and ran off, found the glow and left when I started getting irradiated, found junktown and talked with Killian (at which point one of the Skulz came in firing, we all killed him and then they killed me, I guess for being new and therefore suspicious? I dunno, it bugs me though), and finally I made my way to the west coast, saw a bunch of ruins, and found a weird church for someone called "The Master" and chatted with a bunch of characters who all said the same few lines of dialogue. My plan for next play is to try and find Shady Sands, which Killian told me about)
So I'd say I'm exploring and enjoying it, but the combat is awful dull (especially because right now I basically have to run from everything or I'll die), and the people don't have nearly as much dialogue or characterization as people's talk of the game online has lead me to believe. Also, the combination of tons of animal encounters and the strength of the bands of raiders I meet makes it feel very difficult to get any caps with which I can buy better stuff. Is Fallout 2 a better execution of the concept, or am I just playing wrong, or do I just need to keep going? It's funny, when I describe what I've done up there it sounds cool, but the actual doing it was kind of underwhelming.
tl;dr Am I playing Fallout 1 wrong, or do I just need to keep playing it longer? If possible, I'd prefer to receive spoiler-free answers. Thanks /vr/

Generally you can find enough gear to use or trade in the locations. Random encounters aren't much of a source of revenue or XP.

To this day I still shake my head at what a huge disparity there is between the leap from 1 and 2 to 3 and 4. It's the same with old school Final Fantasy leaping into CGI anime bullshit past 7. It just bugs me so hard and I don't know how anyone can enjoy a franchise as a whole that way.

What's that ONE game that you can play over and over again and never get bored.
I knew a guy who beat Final Fantasy 7 over 100 times. Not speedrunning, just normal playing. He said that the game never gets bored, and the game provides some sort of catharsis for him.
For me, I would have to say Zelda for the SNES. Although I've only beaten it 4-5 times over the years, I enjoy the game thoroughly from beginning to end and have the urge to play it again as soon as I beat it.

I've done at least 30 playthroughs of FFT, mostly casual, a few single character, and a few single class challenge.
It's like your friend said, cathartic. I played it recently cause I had to put my dog down, but I usually do a playthrough at least once a year.
Then theres just stuff like Mega Man X2 that I can burn through in like an hour and a bit and I've probably beaten that like 200 times.

There is always that one game that you love that gets a remake/reboot in the future and that offers a new experience.
I've been thinking about replaying the original DQ monsters on my GBC but I have also downloaded the 3ds version with an english patch, I havent finished either (as a kid I wasnt able to finish the original) but I'm loving the 3ds version and I personally think it adds a lot to the game.
When everything is said and done, what are some remakes that you found superior to their retro counterpart?
