Pretty much what the poster above said. They're all decent now, unless you're buying some seriously outdated shit. Case in question, I used to have a single-core budget phone from 2010. I nearly beat Vagrant Story on it without many hiccups. Played Tekken 3 fine on it too.

My current Snapdragon 600 phone from 2012 could probably run those without much trouble. So I'd guess even some chinaphone with a MediaTek SoC could handle these just fine. The rest depends on the emulator.

But, think about the controls beforehand, just in case you haven't yet. Obviously if you have a joypad that's fine. But without it, SM64 is pretty much unplayable. My experience with onscreen controls has been very average at best.

Frankly, if you want JUST emulators, maybe just get PSP or something. A large part of the phone's cost is camera+all the radios.

Btw have you seen how much better the picture quality on the cga2vga boards is now? Can't believe how much time people have devoted to making them better now. Custom firmware, figuring out alot of the graphical glitches and its problems, it's crazy.

I emulate because I don't want to deal with the display limitations of old consoles. Bringing back fuzzy old crappy looking representations of them just because the old consoles had to push their games through a limited display technology by necessity is a bad idea.
