Had a power outage last night while playing my N64, tried to turn it back on and nothing happens, not even the red light. Any suggestions?
Just emulate bro xD
>>3658013
New PSU.
>>3658026
What I was thinking, hopefully just a PSU problem and not a console problem.
Does anyone remember this? There were a few sequels too, but the first was the best.
>>3657950
I can't really say which is the best since I only have played that one and have to actually play the others, but it is pretty great. Kind of funny how it is like Resident Evil: 1 game begins in a mansion and others differ from this, hell, it's even released in the same year.

I remember this game being mildly controversial and perhaps even having a warning sticker in advertisements/on the box because of "Satanic themes" or something like that. My friend owned it and I thought it was a pretty cool and unusual idea, setting traps for invaders, but my young autistic self couldn't figure out the point of putting traps anywhere but right inside the main door. Don't the heroes always have to come in that way, or did we not play far enough?
>>3657976
You only see them come in through the door, when you can set traps, you can see where they actually are going to be
Is there any point in getting an old Amiga or other 1980's era PC unless you want to play old PC games without having to jump through emulation hoops or an PC enthusiast? I've been interested on seeing just how these things ran but I don't really want to fork over the money for an old machine that might not even work
>>3657590
>Is there any point in getting something to do what it was designed to do?
Is there? That sounds about as crazy as getting a car so you don't have to take the bus.
>>3657590
Just emulate it and test the stuff that's on it and if you think getting the actual machine could be nice then get buy. And don't forget to inform yourself on the ways to transfer shit on it.
>>3657590
Emulate it. If you didn't grew up with one, you will probably get annoyed by the disk swapping, cleaning, tweaking, speed and fixing very fast.
love twin snakes
>>3657552
it's too easy. first person ruins the game's balance
>>3657552
mgs >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>ts
>>3657560
Then don't use it. Twin Snakes never forces you to.
Been looking at this thing for emulation purposes. I currently have a modded PSP for portable retro, but this seems like it may be a significant improvement. Tell me /vr/, has anyone here tried it?
>>3657525
It's an Android platform, so no. Android emulators are horrific, and most are non-free software. You're honestly better off sticking with a modded PSP.
>>3657528
Really? Most Android emulators I've used have been pretty decent (not counting n64, but I don't think there's any really good n64 emulators out there in general). What had me wanting it was its ability to do PS1 games. And I know that PSP can do that, but the controller setup is awful for it (no L2/R2, Analog, etc)
Do not listen to >>3657528
It's a fine machine and if you're not too retarded to set up RetroArch, it's probably the best way to emulate games on the go. Fantastic price:power ratio, I've been replaying Shenmue on it with no problems.
Answer the riddle
This game was baller as fuck
Great magic system, great puzzles
Real big departure for the devs but they pulled it off wonderfully.
>>3657465
this looks amazing
That one was easy, OP.
Now, this one...
Why isn't there a translation for Super Bomberman 5 yet? It's 2016 people, I know there's a problem with the compressed graphics but I found a document of a dude who translated 4 in romhack.
If anyone is willing to help I'll provide email.
There's a thread on the personal projects board of romhacking.net of a guy that started working on this game earlier this year, look for it
Why haven't you learned Japanese? It's Heisei 28 boy.
>>3657474
Could you link me?
Hey /vr/, what's the best Sega Saturn emulator for pc?
there is no best one, you need to use them all to get desirable results on a game by game basis.
Alternatively just use the original hardware. It's an amazing system.
Easily Mednafen.
It runs most Saturn games really well. Blows away any other Saturn Emulator.
Saturn + AR4+ and controllers is less than $100, there's no excuse not to buy the real thing tbqh

Is it really true that people used to create ONE HOUR LONG videos in the Quake engine?
>>3657396
No.
They made FOUR HOUR LONG videos.
What are some good games for this thing that aren't RPGs? I've played pretty much all of the RPGs it has and am looking for other things.
here's a bretty gud list
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hYdvpoRhQMo
>>3657324
It's got some legitimately solid action games, especially if you're looking for stuff outside the norm.
Rising Zan: Samurai Gunman
Silent Bomber
Vanark
Trap Gunner
Felony 11-79
Immediately come to mind.

Is there a recommended brand of SCART cable for a PAL SNES? You can get them on ebay pretty cheap, but I've seen some expensive ones elsewhere
All cheap scart cables and probably a lot of expensive ones will have minor to cross-signal pollution unless you open them up and do a little servicing yourself that's just how scart is but on the other hand it's easy to open and work on them too by design.
>>3657318
Are there any you recommend that don't have this pollution issue?
Is this one okay?
https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/super-nintendo-pal-rgb-av-scart-cable-lead-cord-for-sale
Tha same site also sells an adapter for RGB mini, which I'd consider if I could ever get a framemeister for a non-ridiculous price.

>>3657270
give her a good dicking
Those were some fun commercials.
Um. Why am I horny now?
I bought these on my last game run.
Phantasy Star for SMS
Joe & Mac for NES
Outrun 2019 for Genesis/MegaDrive
Fantastic Dizzy for Genesis/MegaDrive
Not pictured: Super Troll Islands for SNES
How did I do?
It doesn't really matter what we think. Did you buy the games you wanted? Then you did good.
Bretty gud depending on what you played
OutRun 2019 is one of my most played Genesis games.
Depends. How much did you pay?
>tfw you need more weeb space opera in your life
Why wasn't the Phantasy Star series as popular as FF and Dragon Quest, /vr/?
1 was a boilerplate Wizardry clone. No problems there. 2, for all its grindiness and overcomplicated dungeons, had a gorgeous aesthetic, excellent music, and an awesome space opera setting.
3 we do not need to discuss, although the whole generations thing could have been very interesting. Also that Wren is a fucking OG.
4...is excellent all around.
Wh-wh happen, /vr/? Why isn't this stuff into its nth instalment like the other guys? Or am I just seeing it all through rose-tinted glasses? What would you do with this franchise now if you were going to revive it?
Also, Phantasy Star general. Sorry for spamming but I've been feeling the love for the old gal these days. For the conversation about PSO, >>3637342.

it's cause only the poor kids has segas
>>3657238
>segas
you're like my grandma that calls every video game system a "nintendo"
also, only poor kids didn't own every system
>>3657232
Do your homework.
Mark III/SMS failed both in Japan and US. Mega Drive was steamrolled by SFC in Japan and lost even to PC Engine; it barely had any original third-party RPGs (aside from those on Sega CD). The biggest console for Sega in Japan was Saturn. And it had no original PS games. By the time PSO came out it was too late.
Anybody into Shubibinman? Also general pc engine thread
I really enjoyed the last game. On the Super Famicom.
What's the key to beating the first shmup level in Shubibinman 2? It's dragging an otherwise fun action game way down for me.
I only collect hucard games, but the pc engine is pretty baller nonetheless.
