So I'm trying to put together a timeline of all the Mario games but I'm having some difficulty. Hopefully you guys can help.
So here's what I have so far:
Yoshi's Island. This is the first Mario game obviously.
Yoshi's Island DS. This is the second game, but it only happens if Yoshi succeeds.
Mario Bros (NES). This is the second game, but it only occurs in the timeline if Yoshi failed the events of Yoshi's Island and Bowser took over.
Super Mario 2. This continues the "Yoshi Lost" timeline, but it also branches into 4 other timeline depending on who won and 4 timelines depending on who lost to Wart.
Super Mario 3. This would be the 5th game in the 7th timeline. But it also branches into 9 timelines itself depending on if Mario defeats the koopa kids or not and which ones he defeats.
Super Mario World. This is the 3rd game in the Yoshi wins timeline. In this timeline Mario was around to prevent young bowser from destroying the mushroom kingdom.
Mario 64. This is part of the Yoshi win timeline, but Luigi beats Wart, Mario beats Bowser, Peach wins Mario Kart and Wario gets a castle timeline. It canonically takes place before Mario 3 in the Toad wins timeline, but after Mario World in the Mario Bros. Bowser loses timeline.
I'm still trying to determine how the mario land games fit into the timeline and how the OG Mario Bros. fits in the timeline.
you forgot jump man
I am fairly sure Galaxy takes place first because at the end of it they end up causing time itself to restart, this time with all the different races on the same planet.

SMB3 is canonically a stage show

Just teasers and no nitty gritty details yet, but it is official and will be happening.
They will be trying to get into the movie market soon...fuck pls stop
>>3646692
>They will be trying to get into the movie market soon
So a live action Zelda movie with Ben Affleck cast as Link wouldn't appeal to you, huh?
>>3646692
I'm looking forward to all the shitty movies they'll pump out.
If they're anything like the Mario movie or the Wizard they'll at least be good for a cheesy laugh.
The inevitable Netflix original series anime will be absolute shit though. I'm expecting Bleach-tier garbage.
Is a Sega Saturn worth buying? There was one I saw for $60 at a local pawn shop. Saw it came with a racing wheel as well as a few games.
>>3646662
yes
>>3646662
No, don't buy it OP, it's complete trash.
Don't worry tho, I'll make sure to get it off the poor owner's hands.
>>3646662
If you're into fighting and Sega exclusives, yes.
Why are there no free as in freedom retro games?
>>>/g/ pls go
I'm sure there was at least one open-source game for a retro computer (C64, Amstrad, etc). If only because of magazines for them. Or maybe an open-source Net Yaroze game.
Also, this is the most dignified response your shitty bait will probably get.
The greatest game of all time
Is it a good game?
>>3646493
good game, wrong board
>>3646508
It's a mod of the Quake 3 engine, therefore it's retro.
>>3646515
>tfw you realize you dont make the rules
Anymore videos like this out there? These old training or promo videos are oddly enjoyable.

Comfy as FUCK.

>adults pretending that the systems are for their kids
this is actually hilarious. Nice find.
Is it worth buying one, or is this thing just a piece of shit?
Buy one with a bad screen and install your own screen. Battery pack. Everdrive.
*only if authentic hardware is important to you even on the go - if not, psp/android
>>3646413
You'd be better off with a PSP, Dingoo, 3DS, or Smarphone + Controller in my opinion.
The screen is tiny on those and they're fuck huge.with awful battery life
>>3646413
They make a great genesis alternative. Hook it straight up to a TV. Make fun of people with a Nintendo switch.
>WHY DO I KEEP RUNNING OUT OF FUEL
ITT games you never beat as a kid because you were to stupid to know how to play
This game absolutely flummoxed me as a kid.
>>3646260
I never had a problem beating the strike series as a kid.
>>3646419
I never knew about the gasoline barrels you needed to get more gas. I remember seeing them and ignoring them, hence I was always running out of fuel.
Anyone know more about the Gamate? I'm intressted in owning one, are there any other produced versions (like with the Watara and the Mega Duck). Besides eBay are there any other places where you might find one?
>>3645901
The Gamate is a meme system. If you want to purchase one, don't buy it with the idea that you'll be playing a lot of games on it. The screen is very low quality and the buttons are cheap plastic that dig into your fingers.
>>3645915
How does the screen compare to Watara and Mega Duck?
>>3645924
It's worse than the Mega Duck and about as bad as the Super Vision. You're not going to see a lot of what you're doing. There are earlier screens that are even worse.
post maps
>>3645870
Is that Metroid?
System Shock 1
>>3645984
YES
Hint: you can't
Dragon Quest V
CT is good, FFVI is overrated tripe
all JRPGs are garbage
anyone fucked around with one of these?
seems to be on par or better than the frame meister and no buying from japan and spending $500
So... What is it? Where can one purchase it? These are the answers one needs to know
>>3645756
you but the parts and build it yourself
>>3645659
I'm interested in it but I dunno.
Are you man enough to save Aerosmith?
>>3645638
I just bought Revolution X for my SNES for $3. It's worse than I remember.
who's that cute chick?
>>3645638
Sorry dude, I only rescue presidents
Was George a bad person? He stole the aliens knowledge of PSI and brought it to Earth. And he left his wife Maria when he ran back to Earth and never saw her again.
>>3645443
I think you have the wrong board.
>>3645446
>Earthbound isn't a video game?
>>3645446
I think you're on the wrong board if you don't know the plot of mother 1.
Are the /vr/ Elder Scrolls games good? Are any of them bad? How buggy are they compared to Bethesda's more recent games? As someone who joined the series with Oblivion and has trouble playing Morrowind (which is a shame, because I've heard so many great things about the story, and I fall asleep watching YouTube playthroughs), is there any hope that I could actually get used to playing any of these, or am I doomed to be a casual forevermore?
>>3645410
Morrowind and the expansions are the best of the series.
>>3645418
So I've heard (well, except for Tribunal; that one was apparently kind of meh), but Morrowind isn't /vr/.
>>3645410
Arena is a straightforward clone of UU and Legends of Valour, Daggerfall is its more ambitious and buggier sequel, Battlespire is a buggy and broken dungeon crawl, and Redguard is an adventure game.
