I really like how fair and impartial the system is. The only advantage someone can have is more money, which makes perfect sense for an auction site. Its not like ebay is a dollar store.

Because it's less the cost, and more making sure the other guy doesn't get it. But I don't bother to bid unless it's 1 minute left and cheap, or if it's the only one on eBay. I go for BIN 99.9% of the time.

They used to be complete garbage back then, but now they range from decent to actually pretty good (eg. Venom).

They're very overpriced though, and don't scale with anything. Rarely ever worth the money unless you get them on clearance or something.

You are taking the misconception that "market is flooded" means "there are no sales"
Normally what floods the market means it's selling well
Also for every kid that got their iron man mask during iron man 3 there are just as many kids that get old enough to want that mask when civil war hits
You also have factors of cost and profit
Those mask cost about 10.00 wholesale for a case of 10 so when one sells the case broke even and two sell you made a profit so say only 3 masks sell every case the store could still be making a 250% profit

1.Money gets tighter people are less risky with there money
2. Toys of all markets have to compete with Video games, and the pricey tech that plays on them
3.humans have cult of personality issues even with entertainment goods and wish to worship the idols by buying the fetish totems of them
4. The corporate end of the bussines is no far to self aware of what makes profits and what dosn't risk taking is no longer encouraged like it was 30+ years ago.
Those 4 factors are why the market has become what it is

When the first series came out, I was blown away by the size of the figures and the detail. Didn't really get into the later ones that were just semi-poseable statues, but OP pic and 10th Anniversary Spawn were must-buys. I also remember being really happy that they came with comic books, because it meant I'd have a spare copy of whatever issue to read, and keep my 1st prints nice.

I still have the complete first series MIB from when I was a kid. Medieval Spawn, Overt-Kill and Angela were my favorites. I got the variant mail-in Red Bendy Violator, but Malebolgia never came to my town.

Here's some tips from the previous threads:

Beginners: practice on cheap figures first.

For sculpting on figures: use 2-part epoxy putty like Aves apoxie or fixit.

For tools: try a basic carving/sculpting set like the kind arts & crafts stores have, and calipers for symmetry.
Dental tools have also been said to work well.
Also, using a Dremel is recommended. Minimites (the small $20-25 ones) are fine for starting out, but the battery life is poor. Upgrade to a corded one only if you want to get deeper into customizing. They are useful for stuff outside of the hobby though, so it's a good investment regardless.

For paints: use acrylics. Paint in multiple, thin coats. Brands like Vallejo/P3/Citadel are recommended, because of pigment quality.

Use a sealer when finished to protect your work. There are matte varieties and sealers that give a glossy look. As with painting, use multiple thin coats.

A flex shaft attachment on a Dremel is a godsend and relatively inexpensive. The grinding shield is also pretty useful, but you can improvise one using a cut open soda bottle.

It'd be pointless since my country recently stopped getting hardware epoxy for some reason.
I think I can find some of the hobby specialized ones but I don't want to spend too much right now, I'm trying to work on a budget because I might be getting more equipment soon and I want to save for it.
Dremels don't go under 50 dollarideedoos here.
