Or "Keep talking about CoD, Halo, Destiny, TMNT, and AssCreed Megabloks - General"
Previous thread - >>5748257
AssBloks are currently in Schrodinger's discontinuation. Does god will Templars and Crusaders? Or have the chavs and the micks and the pikeys been so rowdy they had to close down the whole department?
I suspect we'll see for sure at SDCC.
>>5784632
>I suspect we'll see for sure at SDCC.
Yeah, that's why they remove them for the website
>>5784818
It might have been an accidental leak before the intended reveal at SDCC. There *is* a movie coming out.
I forget how huge this thing is.
>>5768703
I really hope these red jackets are the same dark red that the borgia guards' pants and the speedboat assassin's robes were.
I have some mixing and matching to do
>>5785253
I found that for fairly cheap, is it any good?
Speaking of cheap, my local stores have alot of Spring/Fall 2015 sets on sale for around 25-75% off, so I'll be grabbing alot of them.
>That piece of shit selling every single individual figure and set separately for bullshit prices on ebay
>5-6 available of everything
Hahaha fuck you
>>5785356
It's pretty big and nice.
Fit's nearly entire Noble team with room. i'm sure with some modding it'll fit more.
I did some google for Halo 5 stuff and Halo Wars 2.
Saw that Warzone has a form of Firefight with boss enemies.
Lots of new vehicles I see...
Grunt Goblin mech suit set when?
>>5785481
Could potentially be done like the new Cyclopses using a ton of special pieces
I'd buy a ton just for the Mega Needlers
>>5785590
Holy shit they could do variants like the Cyclops

>Solid Gold Goblin with a Mega Fuel Rod Cannon

I wonder if we'll get another Elephant or a Hawk with Halo Wars 2 coming out.
>>5785481
>Halo 5 designs
>good
Pick one
>>5785807
We only ever got the one Hawk, it would be pretty cool if they did a revamped "Aerial Ambush" with a new Hawk and Banshee
>>5786066
There was a second Hawk, pic related was a TRU exclusive along with a Scorpion and Vampire set.
>tfw both came out when finances were extra tight
>tfw prices on both are ridiculous
>tfw missed getting the Scorpion on kijiji
I did get the original Hawk off kijiji at least, guy didn't have the Banshee but it was the only set I missed from the first wave so having at least half is nice.
>>5784632
These new Assasins creed sets will probably get released due to a new movie and retailers interest being high.
>>5785955
The grunt mecha is clever, but yeah in terms of overall design.
3 > Reach > 2 = 1 > 5 > 4
>>5785955
They're going to happen, same with Halo Wars 2 designs.
But I still feel it's only a matter of time till we see some Earlier Elite designs.

Damn. I really wanted to stop buying MB Halo sets. Then they completed Noble Team and Buck's ODST squad. Then they came out with Destiny and Star Trek sets. I have no room, but there are so many awesome sets.
>>5787768
I wish I had bought those early Dragons sets. Those baseplates were pretty awesome.

Pretty much. Hayabusa would be near the top of my list of what I want to be updated, though.
But yeah I'd be happy with just about anything older in the new style.
>>5790410
I'm surprised they still haven't taken the old Mk VI design for it, instead they're sticking with the ugly new one.
But yeah hayabusa would be pretty sweet. I'd love if they did a different undersuit for those though.
According to here, the Hayabusa armor was a weird cross over that Halo doesn't have the rights to anymore, so MB can't make any more Hayabusa armors.

how's the destiny minis?
>>5792395
...
O-OH
I SEE
I see.
How dare you even ask.
I just got some TMNT, COD, and Destiny recently. I only collected COD and Halo beforehand.
I opened TMNT, COD, and Destiny in that order.
I already knew what to expect for COD, I opened up TMNT, felt a little shoddy, felt down on my luck. (The movie TMNT)
Then when I opened Destiny.
It was a whole new world.
This is hands down the best figure I have ever laid my hands on. Ever. I can't stop fucking with this shit. These are way too good. I got the single packs with the switchable armor and all.
>>5792408

In a world where Mattel didn't dump the Blizzard license, we could have had Overwatch sets by now.
>>5792536

Let me tell you guys a little story about a lil nigga called "I".
When I was a kid, my mom had a friend and his son gave me a little toy. It looked like Solid Snake, it was small and really well articulated for what it was at the time. I liked small cute things as a kid, like those TMNT micro machines. They were easily concealable and easy to bring around places and pose them and play with them outside. I lost that toy eventually and it fucked me up until Mega bloks released it's COD line.
You can literally tell the difference between quality in every single MB line. Destiny being the best. Smooth, no stiff joints. So many interchangeable parts, and it seems like they hired a few American artists with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts to sit down, sip some fucking Starbucks while seated at a nice desk with a nice little fucking lamp and a magnifying glass to paint the details on these microfigures.
I swear we need a devil's advocate to unsell this product.

I've never been able to get into CoD, and I've been more or less out of Halo for years, and I'm not even super into building block toys anymore, but I love the figures. I imagine it'll be the same when I get a few of the Destiny figures. They certainly look fantastic.
I just got on of the Sparrow sets and fuck this things are great. With some effects and a background you can get some sweet shots
Is the Banshee Strike or Covenant Commander any good? I was looking at them since there were on clearance.
>>5792683
That doesn't look all that great.
Hell I'm assuming that's a "super up" You can do in the game? The aim assist or the way the lighting powers just stick to anything in screen's view which makes it look like the kid just got lucky
Not trying to knock what you like but it seems sluggish and looks like it's more luck based than skilled which isn't what you want in a shooter
>>5793349
That was a Super. I normally don't save shit like actual gun fighting unless I do something amazing.
I built the Enlighten Spear Chucker set today.
>>5793399
It's OK. I really like the mohawk minifig. The green isn't quite a lego match and the bow part is held together with single stud connections. Apart from that it's solid.
>>5793312

>>5793349
That super is pretty much literally the only thing in the game that auto-aims, other than a perk on a couple rocket launchers, and even then it has a pretty finite range of how much it tracks.
>>5793934
Except maybe Truth which I'm certain will track you to the end of time
>>5793943
>literally the only thing in the game that auto-aims
You're full of shit, that "magnetism" mechanic is pretty much forced and it's present 100% of the time
>>5793745
My TRU has the bigger Destiny sets, the spider tank, the hover tank, that giant guy, and the main ship. No speeder bikes or armory sets, which are the ones I want to get. The main ship is pretty cool, I'll probably pick that one up eventually.
>>5783282 here, went back for a Halo Heroes ODST Buck(used the extra parts on it as well), and worryingly the Walmart had the Bucks reduced; so might not get a chance at ODST Romeo.
Still took a look at how the official ODST Mickey is colored, and noticing the ODST Customizer Pack gives you a similarly colored shoulder piece. Gonna head back tomorrow I think and hope there's still a buck left to rework into a Mickey.
Also if anyone has Dutch and the other ODST team members, can you do me a favour; and post a pic of him and one of the others. Just curious if he's is a really different set of base colors than the other ODST Members.
Thanks for any help!
>>5794048
I mean, only if you use nothing but Hidden Hand Snipers but you probably say magnetism because people will use high stability weapons. That makes aiming stupid easy.
>>5794054
I just assume my TRU a shit. I also looked for Titans Returns shit and their TF section consisted of 3 Combiner Wars deluxes, a handful of Skywarps, and RiD shit.
Why are there no toys in Richmond?
>>5794097
Wheres the Carter from?
>>5794048
And yet people bitch incessantly about "Phantom bullets" from handcannons and scout rifles.
Stability is all over the place on a lot of weapons too, which is why stability perks are often considered high among "god roll" weapons.
Storm caller lightning is the only thing that literally auto-locks on to targets, though. Like, that's pretty much its whole point.
>>5794109
Most recent Elephant Troop Carrier set, just the kid I split-purchased it for; doesn't really care for the mini-figs beyond the Marines, Elites, Drones and sometimes ODSTs for some reason. He's in it for the vehicles just it seems hahaha!
How are the Last Man Standing sets?
I'm thinking of getting them but it looks like I would end up getting doubles on some figures in the end
>>5794149
The GITD zombie sets? I got the old 5 pack years ago, REALLY fun little wave, but shelfwarmed hard (and was a Target exclusive). MB did three new sets for them with the new armor. I like the old armor better, so I didn't pick them up, but the review I read were pretty good. The updated 5 pack never showed up in the US though, probably because the old one shelf-warmed.
>>5794190
These are the ones I'm talking about.
Could I skip the third link? From what I've seen, the first link has both GITD and Normal versions of the armors it comes with, but the other sets don't

>I visited TRU the other day was there was no Destiny stuff.
Depends on when you went, I guess. They've really only come in in the last week or two.
I picked up a couple sets last weekend, but it seems like TRU is carrying the same four sets according to almost everyone: The Fallen Walker, The Jumpship, the Cabal Interceptor, and the Atheon set.
>>5795479
I'm waiting for my bro to send me his images, he did most of the close-ups while I was doing the larger shots, there was a threat of rain in the air and some drizzling so we were rushing the photos (setup took a couple hours heh). As it was it never did rain but I'm satisfied all the same. The poses are pretty fluid if you see them up close, the thick vegetation and uneven ground made posing difficult though.
>>5795493
Literally yesterday. I was the anon talking about looking for sets yesterday.
>>5795505
Yesh, I see the posing now, it's pretty good!. When the vegetation is that thick, I just use bases and hide them in the grass. The new cod irregular bases work really good, as they look more like ground. I look forward for more pics anon!
Finally picked up the Promethian pack and Romeo. Managed to snag the last Foxtrot Series Drone too.

I don't know, Mega is weird with releases...
For instance, Echo Series has come and gone at the big city Wal-marts and replaced with Foxtrot, mean while out here in the country they're still trying to off load the remaining Delta...
Which sucks, because Echo has the best army builders AND that Ultra Rare Camo Arby!

That's not so bad. I was planning on buying two of each, just so I could display both looks. Or at the very least, that warlock one with the FWC/Dead Orbit getups, so it looks almost totally like a completely different figure.
>>5797421
Do you have the figure in hand or are you deciding, because the Fallen Captain looks great IMO in person
I don't know anything about Destiny, but I bought one of the Hunter guys today and he's fantastic. I'm really impressed by the new arms and wrists (I guess they're from CoD but I don't own any of those). They make this guy exceptionally better than the Halo bodies, which were also great.
>>5797542

The problem with the CoD hands is that they are sided, which means the figures can be miss assembled easily.

The War Master set is a suit introduced in Halo 4 and brought back in 5.
It's more or less the successor to the haunted helmet from Reach. This specific colorway is based on the Spartan Strike game that was released on tablets and W10.
I'm also positive that's just a generic ODST as he doesnt have the little helmet attachment Buck does.

It seems particularly bad on the Warlocks, because they need room for their bond to clip on to their arms.
I finally found the armor sets and the sparrow sets at my TRU. Picked up all of them, along with a second copy of the FWC/Dead Orbit armory.
I can honestly see myself buying two of every set in this wave, save for the Jumpship and the Spider Tank....and the only thing stopping me from buying a second of the Spider Tank is the price.

>>5807629
My store had only the Fallen Walker, how is it?
I watched Jang's review and it looks good, just not 70$ good.
>>5807723
I guess I worded my post a bit weird, but I don't actually have the Fallen Walker yet. I just meant that once I get one, a second one would be cool, but probably not until a price drop.
I have all the other sets, but I've only built the Cabal Interceptor, the Atheon set, and one of the sparrow sets. I'm in the process of moving, so I probably won't be able to build the others until I get into the new place and have more room.
I should be able to get the walker soon, though.
>>5807664
Doesn't help that even the official media gets it wrong.
>>5808102
Even on the box, front gets it right but on top it's upside down.

I lament the fact that Megablok got the rights for Star Trek, but at least they seem to be of far better quality than any of the other LEGO knockoffs.
What is their quality compared to to LEGO? Is it good plastic, or is it cheap ass crap that doesn't even snap together properly? Do the sets come with all the parts in the correct colors, or is it likely there would be missing pieces in the sets?
>>5808229
It's pretty good. I've had only a couple lost or broken pieces out of the box, and I've never had any problem replacing them.
Then again, I'm in north america, which is best america.
>>5808229
Mega Bloks has been getting better than they used to be. Just keep all the packaging and receipts until you finish building the set. In the off chance that a piece is missing or mis-milded, you can contact Mega Brand's customer support and they'll send you replacement parts.
>>5808229
>What is their quality compared to to LEGO? Is it good plastic, or is it cheap ass crap that doesn't even snap together properly?
Its not bad, but it really isn't great, to be honest. I guess the best I can say is that it is a distant, distant second to LEGO.
Parts have a hard time snapping together often, MB makes fucking strange decisions for coloring their parts, which just makes the final builds look weird sometimes for certain sets, and frankly, the parts just look and feel cheap.
>Do the sets come with all the parts in the correct colors, or is it likely there would be missing pieces in the sets?
With all of the above said, I've never straight-up had any missing, damaged, or broken pieces. Granted, I've not built many MB sets, but the parts have always been there.
Frankly, the highlight of MB is the minis. If you want highly articulate, cool looking little action figures, they're great.
anyone seen destiny sets anywhere in australia? even online stores would be fine just don't really want to buy from amazon and end up paying more in shipping than the set itself
Guys.. I kind of sort of made an edgelord..
Sorry?
Ayyyy.... Just ayyyyyy
>>5809195
You can go edgier.
So I'm the moron that bought the 70 buck jumpship. I decided to get a few other thing and got my haul from Amazon today and I gotta say, these little buggers are fun as shit. Like I haven't fucked with Mega Bloks since I was like 8 or 9 so I never messed with the minifigs.
They're tinier than I thought but I love the posability they have. All I messed with was one of the Hunter Armor sets and the Sparrow set. Tomorrow, I shall construct the Jumpship.
Also No wonder that ship cost me. Damn thing came from Toys R Us
>>5808158
How do you put the ghost with the strap? I cant do it with my warlock.
>>5809222
70 is not so bad for the jumpship anon, the retail is like 60.
>>5809235
It was on Amazon the next day for like 40 bucks.
>>5809207
NIGGA HOLY SHIIIIIIT
>>5809207
How much do you want for those Jungle Troopers?
>>5809232
The strap is rubbery, just move it out of the way.
>>5809207
How sore are your fingers gonna be after assembling all of that?
>>5809215
I think I'm ok, thanks tho
>>5809277
i just umm acquired (bough) 3 of those destiny walkers, all i wanted was one..ive only been able to do the single figures and i really just wanted a pack of rileys, and i ended up with thousands spent... even just making a mini vehicle can be a chore....
ive really only done 7 of the character packs and then an few of the singles - juggernaut and sniper. so i've got about 40+ minifigs only a few as intended and most in pieces. yes hurt hands, but my hands are small luckily enough...
>>5809311
What vehicle is the one on the photo? I don't recognize it.
>>5809616
It's the Arctic Invasion vehicle.
So no news from SDCC at all?
>>5809222
Built the jumpship last night. I overestimated the sheer size of this thing because it took me 4 hours to complete (it was also so large, the manual came in 2 books). All I can say is the ship is very fiddly. The main body component is nothing but a bunch of small parts stacked up and wrapped around a tray, which is held in place by two smaller blocks that aren't reinforced at all. So I did have to rebuild the cockpit part a few times. Also because of this the ship has a habit of breaking in half towards completion. My final gripe was there was one piece that did not fit in place that I had to add some spare blocks to just to make it work. All that aside, it's a sexy sexy ship.
Think we'll even see Classic Armor Elites in new articulation?
One of the screens from Halo Wars 2 shows a blue Elite Honor Guard, so I really fucking hope we get a figure of that.
And then, maybe we can finally get a Councillor.
Well, looks like I need to go get more.
Doubles for days.
>>5813713
Shoot, my bad.
>>5813713
Greetings from AUS!
>>5813713
What are you a stupid? Why didn't you check the codes? Unless you're armybuilding
I'm hesitant on getting JFO because ive already got a lot of Orange Spartans
>>5814034
No such thing as too many Orange Spartans.
>>5814034
I'm both, apparently... Do the codes blatantly show which figure is inside?
>>5814165
Should have just looked it up. Cannot believe I never knew that.
Anyone know yet if they've announced any sets from Black Ops 3? Or any other COD sets for 2016
>>5815229
Sets have kind of just appeared this last year. There are several sets people have found that had no promotional teasers
>>5815229
I've seen nothing out of SDCC. The only Mega Bloks thing they mentioned was they're allowing people to make virtual Guardian avatars. Sadly, not ability to make them physical yet.
I love the new cyclops
Picked this thing up for barely $15 at Target.
Actually really like it.
>>5817438
>A weapon to surpass Metal Gear
>>5820039
Sometimes Chinese "LEGO" can be great, such as my WWII British squad. Arm movement is smooth, minifigs are detailed and the weapons are nice (magazines can be switched out)
>megablok removed ass creed from the collectros site
RIP templars
>>5818636
I love all the Promethean stuff MB has done. Shame they haven't done anything else for H5 Promethean stuff... Guardian when?
>>5820949
>mega accidentally shows the first sets in the ac line that i'm interested in
>line is most likely kill
>>5820949
Please don't remind me, I really wanted those Templars and now I may never have them. This is a pain I've never felt before.
Finally got Spartan Nathan Drake.
>>5816120
I know they usually show something new at NYCC. I think they showed the Star Trek sets (along with some Halo) last year and Spongebob the year before. Hopefully they'll show some TMNT, Destiny, more Halo and maybe a new license in October.
Just realized a majority of my Halo bloks collection is from blind-bags and figure packs with only a few vehicles here and there. Anyone in the same boat?
>>5821822
Same, both for Halo and CoD
>>5821822
Yeah, my Mega Bloks collection is currently only made up of a bunch of blind bag Halo figures, two small CoD sets (Sidecar Pursuit and Rocket Turret), and the Da Vinci's Flying Machine AC set.
I just don't have the room for any larger vehicles or terrain pieces and the figures are what I'm really into anyway.
>>5817438
Sorta reminds me of the mech from District 9
>>5822753
Yeah. The quality of their bricks and builds in general have gotten better than I remember from childhood, too, but if they didn't have the super posable microfigures and were still just aping the LEGO minifig I would still have no interest.
>>5821822
miniblock compatible GI joes
I saw the Halo Banshee on sale for $13 at Target, decided to buy it. One of the pieces of shoulder armor came broken, and it's missing several pieces. First time being burned by MB, feels bad.
>>5825427
70% off some of the Halo sets around here. Aw yiss.
>>5825581
Target and Walmart seem to have them on deep clearance. In fact, Targer seems to be getting in a lot of the Destiny stuff replacing what they were phasing out.
>>5825427
probably standard pieces you can just order through their request center, some sets have whacky special/printed pieces you have to email them about to get replacements for which is a pain
2013 quality, a shit
2014 quality, less shit
2015 quality, massively less shit
can't speak for 2016 anything since we don't even have destiny sets at all here in aus
I will only save this thread from page 10 once. You guys gotta post more mega mocs if you want to live
>>5829237
Who cares? The crusades are ogre
RIP mega bloks
>>5784632
who this bitch trebuchet and why she textin' you?
>>5793410
The right minifig's legs look crooked. How bad are the minifigs next to Lego, actually?
I bought a Best Lock set.
this is my life now.
>>5830406
>buying best lock
why, anon. why would you do that?
Lego main here
How are the mega bloks buildable figures? Like destinys atheon
>>5831313
Different and personally way better, but it depends on what you are looking for in a minifig. Pic related.
Got some stuff, really digging the Fireteam.
>>5832008
The fireteam looks a little better from a different angle.
>>5830186
That is not a trebuchet
>>5831313
Lego minifigs are great, but MB is essentially mini action figures
atheons like a build though
>>5831313
I have the Atheon. The articulation's damn fine, though some of the joints do like to pop apart before they'll turn. That's easy enough to deal with, they pop back together and I think they're loosening up over time.
Only downside is the weapon sucks, so I took it apart and I'm giving it some better stuff. Right now it's just got a double barrel stuffed under the wrist, but I'm going to eventually pull that out and replace it with a grappling hook and a sword, made from a helicopter blade.
>>5830406
> buying a Best Lock Fireman set
> tfw I got a police man in the box
They finally have these in my Toys R Us!
>>5831987
Pretty much this.
Certain properties work better under Lego and their more stylized/simplistic approach, others indefinitely work better for Megabloks.
Like I'd prefer Boarderlands in Lego form based on the style and tone of that series, but something like Fallout or Skyrim should get Megabloks any day of the week.

>>5834102
Has anyone else noticed that 343 is trying to retcon the Mark V armor as their design and pretending the Halo:CE design isn't even real?
It's so goddamn strange, the armors aren't even similiar
>>5833625
I think, in the case of Borderlands, the customizable weapons are more in keeping with Mega Bloks and how they handled Call of Duty.
>>5834182
It's literally based off of the Halo Legends movie.
So my walmart had the Echo figures and i thought, what the hell?
Bronze jackal, grape scout and active camo arby. Hell of a score
Can confirm. Even my shitty Target has restocked with Destiny
>>5835929
>>5835941
What's on the other side of the door anon?
>>5835941
How are the Fallen figures? They look gorgeous, do they play and pose well?
>>5836625
pic related. Its a work in progress bunker type base. Im using modular design principals for rooms and hallways to make building it easier.
>>5836993
Just as posable and detailed as the other guys. The only difference is the extra torso section and bigger feet. He is just so big though I wish there were more smaller mooks for him to lead
>>5837170
>>5837173
Really like the pipes; lovely touch
>>5837185

>>5837568
My targets had them for that price last I checked. Not many but they were there.

>>5837845
Dont even have to repaint them. Zombie heads looks a-ok. I can only hope the crusaders are this years Amazon christmas exclusive ala terminator
>>5837239
That gas mask custom.
Haul from today.
The cyclops is pretty decent in terms of overall design, but the fact that some sections of armor tend to pop off easily (upper leg and back of lower stomach) means that this is probably aimed towards collectors more than young fans.
>>5838091
I want to try and build the metal gear from mg2 out of one. Is it feasible?
>>5838091
I know it's a cardinal sin, but I ended up gluing those pieces into place. I don't plan on ever trying to use them for any other builds. Plus they feel more like action figures now.
Finally got my bro's images from the other week.
