Anyone know if Sideshow or Hot Toys will be doing figures from Logan? I want a set of Wolverine and Laura with Wolverine wearing the white shirt and suit like he does at beginning of movie and Laura coming with the glasses those sunglasses that she wears.
I doubt Sideshow or Hot Toys would put these 2 characters together in same box (unless it's a statue) so I would love a separate Logan with the shirt and suit, possibly interchangeable heads and then a separate Laura with the sunglasses and an interchangeable head when she has the claws out.

I hear ya OP, huge fan of Laura and a Logan/Laura 1/6 combo from the movie has practically become a must-have for me. Unfortunately, as a regular in a lot of 1/6 forums, so far the general consensus is that it's very unlikely. And while the possibility of Hot Toys making Logan isn't completely zero, Laura is without a doubt an unlikely scenario.
Admittedly though, we'll probably get a bunch of third party figures given that's how we've been getting a lot of 1/6 X-Men figures as of late. I've already seen some pre-orders for a Hugh Jackman headsculpt based on his look in Logan and it'd be fairly easy to kitbash a suited version. Hell, if Colosssus and Francis from Deadpool can get proper 1/6 figures (the latter of which I'm personally excited for), I'm sure we'll get a Logan and Laura down the road. At this point it's just going to be a waiting game.

Doubt it, even though Marvel's relationship with Fox is not as bad as it was like a year or two ago they're still holding off on making movie figures based on the Fox films.

Yes but it's easier to with something that has mostly geometric shapes with straight edges. On curved surfaces you can't really define where the "outline" of the cell is.

I have a challenge for the denizens of this board:
I've come to the realization that all existing Samurai Jack toys are shit (bad sculpts, bad proportions, no articulation, etc..) and that there will likely never be an official line from anywhere (feel free to correct me with rumours, I would be delighted).
Someone made a custom Jack out of a SOTA Ryu, but I'm nowhere near that level of customization skills: http://www.figurerealm.com/customfigure?action=view&id=39508
In light of all this, I'm looking for a "realistic" looking samurai figurine that looks as close to Samurai Jack as possible (white robes w/gray trim, same hair, katana, etc.). I could combine accessories from two or more figurines if ppl have ideas...
I don't have the faintest idea where to start, or about build quality, etc. Does anyone collect samurai figurines/traditional "realistic" Japanese historical shit? Any suggestions? Help me /toy/, you're my only hope.

So I've been buying the Gutto Kuru Nanoha line with the intention of eventually starting a blog or something to review things like this since there's next to no information online about these figures.
I got Nanoha herself just a few days ago and when I opened her she immediately fell apart into about 7 pieces, I put her back together and assumed she just had a bad torso joint but after messing with her again today I noticed that the previous owner swapped her joints with Revoltech ones instead.
Anyone else had something like this happen? Also do you think this is worth complaining to Mandarake about?

Forgot to mention that the neck joint was also swapped and that the original joints were included in the box.
Coincidentally the black Revoltech joint actually helped the Fate I'd ordered since it was a tight fit giving her more torso articulation
There was just no mention of the joints being swapped though, I assume it's because they wouldn't even have thought to check for something like that, I've never had it happen before.

Yeah I've noticed, they look good if you get them in a decent pose but my god are they a fucking nightmare to get to that stage.
They're dirt cheap on Mandarake so I'm not too bothered about the quality, no chance in hell would I pay the original retail price for these though.
I still think it'd be useful to have information about these things online somewhere on the off-chance someone else is curious about them. I found 2 reviews at most when I was searching for info on them.

Finally got around to opening up the Dodai. Dang, I am so glad anon enticed me to pick this up! A really excellent set; the Dodai itself is beautifully done (I love how the various swappable panels completely blend in and are securely attached, yet easy to remove when you want) and the accessories/effect parts are a sweet complement to the Gouf.
Terribly overcast all weekend though, so couldn't take decent shots.
