So, I was interested in getting some AdMech stuff when I first heard they came out a while back, but I was way too broke to be able to get back into 40k. Just today I decided to go check out the GW website again to see what all has happened since I fell out of the hobby and noticed what the picture here shows. Did they split AdMech into two armies? Can I still play them together as one? Do I need both codices now? What am I looking at here?
Skitarii and AdMech are technically two separate codices but work together very well. If you're going to a tournament you need both codices but c'mon, download them
lmao you can buy whole armies of 6mm models for the cost of one boxed set of this crap
these models are so big it's like playing with dollies

How play catgirl without being massively fat weeb
>>50668172
make catgirl massively fat, you weeb.
Say that one was attempting to tame a monster or other dangerous creature. How should they go about winning the beast over? Giving them food? Asserting dominance? Head pats?

I need a name for a kenku. I haven't created a detailed backstory but I have a general description.

Oh, it worked out even better for the characters.
Would playing a child sorcerer character be impossible? Been running by the idea of playing one to change things up a bit, but none of my friends or gamemasters can give me a straight answer on it.
>>50665677
Why would it be impossible?
If you're a shitty roleplayer, shitty at coming up with characters that are deeper than a simple concept (ie; he's a child), or are prone to getting into your magical realm at the table, then yes it's probably a bad idea.
If you're a competent player, and the rest of your group is also competent, it shouldn't really be a problem.
>inb4 taking the bait
Don't tell me what to do, man.
>>50665677
I don't see why not. Sorcerers (in DnD, but unless specified I'm assuming we're talking about DnD) have an inborn ability to use magic. Usually it manifests at some point in their life, but I don't think it's ever been stated that it must manifest at specific age. I'd imagine how and why their power manifest would depend entirely on the individual. The point is, to become a sorcer you don't need to go through years of training like in most other classes. You either have the potential to be a sorcerer or not, and when your powers first manifest you're a lv.1 sorcerer regardless of whether you're 12, 18, or 56 years old.

Post anything you like

Hey all,
A question about Pathfinder: How can I make the best use of the Craft: Alchemy skill? How useful is "Brew Potion"?
I am making a tiefling alchemist with the "grenadier" archetype, and his (fairly solid) backstory involvs him being a shady potion salesman. Just trying to figure out a build that'd fit him best really.
Okay, so I guess the second part of my inquiry: If you had a semi-vigilantee, misanthropist tiefling alchemist living in a large city, how'd you build him up? The amount of info is staggering, I'd love a few suggestions. Thanks a bunch.
I mean, alchemist can effectively be the party healer with potion use, so y'know, pretty good
Mhmm, I was thinking of taking a more RDPS take on it, so not going to play the healer- we have a paladin and druid in the party as is.
well
>go online and find the chemical formulas for explosives.
>Make bombs.

So, I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to 40K.
So here is my question?
Is it possible to play a Tau army with little to no Tau troops or HQs.
Furthermore, how many different factions can Tau ally into a single army (assuming points aren't an issue). Could a Tau army have a unit representing ever factions (minus tyranids)
>>50662561
>Is it possible to play a Tau army with little to no Tau troops or HQs.
You can fill your Troops slots with Kroot and Fast Attack with Vespid, but all the HQ choices are Tau and all of the vehicles and battlesuits are piloted by Tau.
Technically there's no limit to the number of factions Tau can ally in, other than points. But some will work better than others - Orks are Desperate Allies, for example, while Eldar are Allies of Convenience.
>>50662561
You don't need troops or HQs anymore with formations. You can take the Tau formations that are just 3 Riptides like the Riptide Wing, or the 1 Broadside 1 Riptide formation Cadre Fire Support.
If you want to make a traditional army, you can play Farsight Enclaves, which only requires 1 HQ which can be an XV8 Commander, and then the troops can be XV8 suits, meaning you'd only need 3 XV8 for the mandatory requirement unlock, then 1 more XV8 for your second mandatory troop. So with 4 XV8 models, your Farsight Enclaves army minimum requirement is already fulfilled.
There's a formation that it is nothing but Kroots and Vespids. Not a single Tau in sight.
Just found out about this today. anyone given it a look? I want to know /tg/'s feelings on this. I don't have PDFs or anything sadly.

Just found out about this on /v/.
It's basically Mount & Blade meets Final Fantasy Tactics, which is all kinds of awesome to me, and from what I've been seeing on youtube it plays really well and has that crunchy neckbeardy depth to combat that we all love over here. Might be worth breaking my "never pay for Early Access" rule, but I'd like know what /tg/ thinks about it first before making my decision.
Also the art style is fucking dope.
I got it for a few months already. Its a bit badly optimised, there is no magic for humans or friendly "fantasy races" and a shame the currency is just "gold" and you are only the merc company. I don't think they will branch it out on 1.0, probably on DLC's. They changed the art of few things a few times, and there is oncoming not!nekhehara army of skellies and mummies with magic.
>>50658078
I'm glad there's no friendly magic, I really enjoy low-magic games, and the idea of being a party of martials just making a living killing things in this dark fantasy world.
Is there anything like mounts in the game?

>GM wants to run a game about emancipating the slaves of a not-Rome nation of 10 million, where 30% are slaves
>coordinate with players to propose a strategy of gradually eliminating the need for slavery by advancing technology, engineering, agriculture, etc. to make slave labor less necessary by the decade
>GM subtly gets salty about it
Is it even possible to whittle away at slavery this way?
>>50654861
>Is it even possible to whittle away at slavery this way?
Not with any appreciable speed. The cultural, economic, and (potentially) religious/racially-motivated resistance would be enormous.
>>50654861
Slave labor really fucked the roman economy at times, It would probably be easier to do some shady political shit and make laws than to slowly climate the culture to non slavery.
>Is it even possible to whittle away at slavery this way?
I dunno, maybe, I guess, The problem it would seem to me is even with advanced tech, engineering, ect why would there be less a need for slaves when slaves are all purpose tools. You can have a slave work assembling microchips just as easily as you can have one working the fields.
>>50654861
Not really. The fact is, slavery is something that never stops making economic sense for unskilled labor. In fact, automation advances have largely been driven by the desire to minimize the number of paid workers, so arguably slavery would actively hinder technological advancement.
