Well, an obligatory THIN YOUR PAINTS!!!
But overall not bad. Feel like you could have a bit more wash. Looks a little to bright in some places. Then again, could just be the lighting.
Thank you! I think I overdid it on the Kislev Flesh.
>>50835807
Horns are flat, wash and then highlight the tips.
Tabbard and tasset are flat too.
Otherwise okay.
Khorne icon should be Brass! REEE
Do you prefer larger-than-life or down-to-earth characters?
>>50834537
I prefer both mixed into my games. It gives me someone to relate to and someone to root for.
>>50834537
I prefer I down-to-earth guy going through a character ark and becoming a large-than-life hero.
>>50834537
I like both, actually. A game with just one or the other tends to get dull after a while.

Demon Primarch Curze rules when?
So, I have a big problem as a GM, and I feel like I know why it's a problem, but I can't really think of a good solution. Basically, my players act like they're in a railroad when they're not. I don't mean that they do the whole 'CHOOCHOO RAILROAD OMG' bullshit, I mean that they take basically any trusted NPC's word at complete face value on suggestions. For example, if the DMPC says, "maybe we should investigate the Duke" the players will immediately investigate the Duke even if there's other, better options, say, using the same example, the Duke is obviously innocent or obviously be set up.
I've noted that if I have another NPC offering another option, they actually THINK about it, as if they don't even register that there were other options than what was suggested to them until someone else tells them there's another option. It's where I get the whole idea that they're acting like this is a complete railroad. This is especially frustrating because all their characters have goals and personalities that they play flawlessly until one of these situations come up. They all want different things, they all act towards different goals, but when it comes to actually moving the plot, they immediately default to just doing the first thing an NPC they trust suggests.
Before it's suggested, I've tried them being betrayed/lied to/the NPC being flat-out wrong, and while they role-play around it, they never actually seem to LEARN from it. How can I break them of this habit? Should I even do so, or just enjoy that I have an easily nudged lemming group of players?
Take a few minutes to talk to them about it, out of game
Hey it make your job easier.
>>50831853
Of course I've done that. They nod their heads and agree it's an issue, but they still do it.
>>50831858
It makes things less fun. I'm a very improv GM no matter what game I'm playing, and I love being thrown curveballs. Decisions or rolls that completely change the game or plot is something I thrive on. When players are incapable of doing either, I really just feel like I'm babysitting the AI from Dawn of War 2.
How does chess compare with wargaming?
If you're good at chess can you be good at wargaming?
>>50831614
yes and no
each piece in a wargame will have different things it is capable of, but there is a lot of randomness in wargaming (depending on the system) as where chess has more determinism.
90% of AoS and 40k is actually the models and the hobby, and chess skills won't help you become a better painter.
>>50831614
The only difference between the two (When comparing it to what we call wargaming today) is the addition of random elements.
>>50831655
you don't customize and paint your chess pieces usually
About to start a new campaign and I'm wanting to play a fun class but I don't know what to play that would be both fun and good to play.
Pretty much no one has decided a class role so I can fit just about anything at this point in time and my DM is allowing for almost any kind of race/class combo from 3.5.
Recommendations /tg/?
These are my current stat rolls: 12, 14, 15, 15,16, 17
>3.5
Move on to 5e already.
>>50831558
He wants to play 3.5, I like 5e just fine
I dunno man, I always play Bard. Druids can be hella fun though, and Paladins are hilarious.

What would you guys think about having a place to put writefaggotry?
Ulfrun the Dense.
Level 8 Conjuration Wizard Sage.
HP 66hp
AC 18AC
Speed 25ft
STR 19
DEX 10
CON 18
INT 8
WIS 14
CHA 8
Saves: Int, Wis.
Gear: Battleaxe, Fullplate.
Skills: History, Arcana, Insight, Religion, Smith's Tools.
Abilities & Traits: Darkvision, Dwarven Resileince, Stonecunning, Dwarven Combat & Armour training, Arcane Recovery, ASI(+1STR, +1CON, Heavy Armour Training), Conjuration Savant, Minor Conjuration, Benign Transposition.
Spell slots: 4-1st level, 3-2nd level, 3-3rd level, 2-4th level.
Cantrips: Booming Blade, Prestidigitation, Mage hand, Mending.
Spells: Absorb elements, Find Familiar, Fog cloud, Identify, Sleep, Shield, Magic Missile, Unseen Servant, Cloud of Daggers, Knock, Misty Step, Levitate, Counterspell, Haste, Leomunds Tiny Hut, Wall of Sand, Conjure Minor elementals, Fire Shield, Leomunds Secret Chest, Dimension Door.
Ulfrun is a wizard, a very lazy and poor one at that. He paid little attention in his studies, performed poorly on examinations and only barely managed to achieve the minimum passable grades to be released from the academy as a fully fledge wizard. Many who know him refer to him as "Ulfrun the Dense", a nickname he misunderstands the insult as praise for his stocky build and hardy figure. He perferred Conjuration magic, it was convenient he claimed, using it to shortcut many efforts in life by simply summoning an unseen servant to do it for him if he couldn't summon it himself, some have even claimed to see him teleport up a flight of stairs rather than walk them, others have seen him use a Secret Chest enchantment to keep a supply of snacks and food in. He never understood why spellcasters shun armour, he never found it to interfere with his magic at all, simply yell the magic words and club the bastard upside the head, simple.

Shut up, silly. Answer my question, please.
Would you watch a low-budget MtG television show in the same vein as YuGiOh wherein the battles were "real" and every character was a Vorthos. Something with the plot revolving around everyone playing MtG to save and/or take over the world or someshit.
>a low-budget MtG television show in the same vein as YuGiOh
The very idea makes me want to throw up.

I'd prefer a cartoon with actual planeswalkers, not the card game.
It seems like to me that anything trying to be the next yugioh or whatever doesn't last very long.
Just thinking of the Kaijudo re-launch and the Chaotic cartoon.

If only because an abridgement of it might be slightly amusing
/tg/ server is up, come be an ace attorney that solves crimes with other anons, or maybe the prosecutor that clashes with the attorneys, perhaps the witness that is actually the real killer or maybe the judge that oversees it all.

I am not even mad
This is a very serious game.
There's case building going at Courtroom 2 and most roles are open
Why are the Blood Ravens so pasty-cream vanilla in the Dawn of War games?
Would it really hurt to have their army reflect who they are supposed to be - a partially corrupted chapter with a high percentage of Psykers and with kleptomaniac tendencies?
Instead of the same old same old units plus an Imperial Knight they could have included a full squad of Librarians. Or Terminator Librarians as the elites. Or a Squad Captain with a wide array of customizable wargear to choose from all the gear they have 'appropriated' for themselves .
Pic related: A Terminator Librarian.
>>50820196
>Would it really hurt to have their army reflect who they are supposed to be - kleptomaniac tendencies?
So, what, make them black? Fucking racist.
>Would it really hurt to have their army reflect who they are supposed to be - a partially corrupted chapter with a high percentage of Psykers and with kleptomaniac tendencies?
So basically Chaos Rising
Because the DoW games are supposed to show off what a "regular" Space Marine army can put on the tabletop. Like, if they had squads of Libbies and squad with lots of relics, people becoming attracted to the tabletop would try to copy what they've seen, and become pissed that they can't use relic weapons on every single marine.
Meaning they are less likely to buy.
Blood Ravens can't be too codex-deviant.
Also
what are everyone thoughts on DoW III? Does it looks good to you? Bad? Why?

I play mostly Mage. That shit is my bread and butter for developing new plot-hooks.
Chemtrails are a conspiracy by the panopticon to infect the oneiros of the people below, etc.
Hey, I know that cWoD is out of fashion but the scans in the second pastebin are kinda spotty. There's a lot of pages missing from the Times of Judgement one, does anyone have a different scan?
What happened to /tg/?
This board has always had its flaws but now it seems like its no better than /b/ or /v/.
All the pointless arguing over stupid shitI'm looking at you primarchfags. All the shitposting just to get (you)s.
I couldn't be more disappointed in all of you. You all let me down but more importantly you would have let pic related down.
>>50834055
/tg/ has actually gotten quite a bit better in the last week or so. Creation threads, homebrew, Love and Krieg 2.0, Dead Space. Plenty of OC that isn't shit.
because instead of us Warhammerfags having a safe heaven in the form of a board, we have to share this board with all other PrivaterPressfaggot and those other faggots that roll D20.
>>50834055
>What happened to /tg/?
The great summer of shitposting of '10 killed it.
So, this is kind of obscure, but I'm trying to find the ruleset for a game that /tg/ made one time.
I forget the name, but the basic premise was that all of the player would be fighting over the control of the same character. I remember that the character always had the same name, I think it was John but I could be wrong.
Anyway, if anyone can put me to a ruleset or an archived /tg/ thread in which someone mentions the ruleset I would be eternally grateful.
Everyone Is John

I feel like Goblin Slayer started when the Author was DMing a campaign and the party was just rolling shit, so he had to send in a DMNPC to avoid a total party wipeout
thoughts
Fuck off.
Gobrin!
GLORIOUS NIPPON ROLEPLAY is all railroads all the time.
The systems even have mechanics built in for railroad enforcement.
The general impression is that players won't take any actions unless forced to.
Also, every system runs exclusively on d6s.
