Hey all,
I'm running a campaign in which the players decided to piss off a leviathan and I would love to run a few sessions with them party being swallowed and having to escape the massive thing.
I'm looking for ideas, concepts, items, anything that can help flesh out what would essentially be a small town built from old ships inside the monster with a few NPC's and a couple different encounters and ultimate means of escape. I've looked around a bit and didn't come up with much.
>>50815472
What do the NPCs eat? How do they obtain clean water? Why hasn't the digestive system of the leviathan done it's job? Why haven't they suffocated? Answer these questions without cop-outs, and the rest will be childsplay.
>>50815560
That's just what I'm working on and good points. I was thinking a bioluminescent fungi/seaweed for air and light and fish seem reasonable for food. The town would be made of ships lodged in the gullet and populated by anyone lucky enough not to call into the stomach.
As for water and better food, we have a druid so they'll have barely enough not to die, but I'll probably have to hide casks of water in old ships for them not to fall into exhaustion. That would be interesting, a ship collapsing further into the stomach with only enough time to get a cask of possibly stagnant water or some treasure.
The fungi/seaweed lighting seems trips-ish though. Maybe lanterns filled with water that house little light-up sea creatures.

Water has a tendency to spoil much too quickly for long voyages at sea. Barrels of rum, grog, or a setting appropriate alcoholic beverage would be much more likely.
So guys, 30 miniutes until my first D&D session (as a DM).
Ask me anything. I'm bored/anxious.

How many deformed mutant retard babies spawning from their mothers's asses does your game have?
>>50813062
Which edition are you running? Are your players new as well?
Good luck, OP.

Anons, do you ever use the basic Warlord Traits in the BRB? Some of them actually seem really good.
For example, giving Legendary Fighter to your HQ in a KdK army means that challenging and slaying characters not only awards you a Blood Tithe, but a Victory Point as well!
If you're playing alpha legion, it's with rerolling after the first death on them.
Okay, /tg/, I decided to throw together a non-Chaos renegade Space Marine chapter. I ended up with this, monstrosity.

>>50811468
I'm guessing you want us to help you make sense of it?
Suggestion> The Oolitic secretions of the renegades makes them highly flammable. This isn't really an issue thanks to their armor, but they tend not to like flamethrowers as a result
their raiders, with a savior complex? that makes no sense.
>>50811897
they have archotech.
maybe they are trying to fix Lion by collecting ancient medical tech
My players just tried to kick me out for being quote "Powergaming Villains" after I killed their whole party because they didn't run away.
They are fucking retarded! This is MY GROUP. I am the GM. They can go fuck off!

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>50810812
It seems they already fucked off for good, and they did well.
I woudn't want to play with someone like that. It's not yours, numbnuts, it's cooperative narration. It's like being a frontman for a band. Yes, GM is the focus. But it's still a team effort.

Many Asian cultures painted black lacquer on the teeth, in the thoughts of it softening the features, and when the lips are parted, creates a clean black line. Some cultures at different points and time, considered a toothy smile to be low class and rude. Look at my picture and squint a little, and she'll look like a painting.

No it's really small at first. It's only Essence X Miles maximum for each activation of the charm.
If you want a larger inner world you've got to build it up yourself, and it's going to take a long long time.

This is /tg/, not /a/. We are only as weeaboo as is required to survive on 4chan. We don't know every single fucking Nip Nong cartoon character out there so you're going to have to explain this.
Look, griffons are well and good. I mean, combine a lion, throw some eagle in there, and you get something fucking majestic. But you know what else it is? BORING. The consumers just aren't impressed by minotaurs and sphinxes anymore, gentlemen. We need some monsters that are interesting, deadly, practical. We need... Impossible Creatures. So pitch your ideas, let's see what you've got.

Are you looking for more chimera, like the Mandragora or the Hippocampus, or just rare monsters seldom seen in fiction, regardless of whether they are chimerae or "just" monsters?
If the latter, my votes goes to the Pennagolan. If the former, I like teh Shedu aka Lammasu.
Hey /tg/, a newbish /co/mrad here, I made a short champaign for my friends to play through only to find out that they don't want to try DnD until around summer, so I have months to fix my game. Is it advisable to run everything with me filling the roles as both players and DM?
>>50812836
Sweet Jesus don't do that.
Nope, learn to improvise.
As a way to test it? No reason not to.
