I'm looking for a system that would go well together with Fullmetal Alchemist's alchemy. Could someone recommend a system?
>>50830954
>insert Generic RPG system here<
>>50830954
GURPS, or Mutants and Masterminds.
>>50830970
>>50830985
What they said, or Fate.
What fluff characters would /tg/ like to see get rules for in their respective game systems?
>pic related
>>50830896
He anD Jurgen are no Brainers, Amberley vail would be nice too, I'd love to see crunch and modles for Captain Titus or Gabriel Angelos, the latter of whom could have different heads for different eras
>>50830960
Titus actually has a head that comes in the sternguard box
Is there a good system for running an Adam West Batman combat? This is important.
>>50830587
Mutants and Masterminds, ham it up immensely. For Example have better attack rolls be better attack sound effects, e.g. only just hitting would be a Smash! but a critical 20 would be a Bam!
I'm sure you can figure it out from there.
>based on the OGL d20 System
>>50831868
It's not really like the d20 system aside from some surface characteristics and the use of a d20

Get fucked Rudy.
MTG Finance is cancer.
>>50830472
I'm on a road trip and can't watch, please explain.
>>50830945
Rudy from Alpha Investments got all his youtube money stolen because he put info into a well done phising scam. He can't login to adsense because they stripped his information from it and they lifted his check for November, over $2000
All in all he got fucked. Now he's begging for people to get youtube involved and offering money for anyone who can help. Because he 'wants to keep living his dream'
>>50830945
>To long; didn't watch
He fell for a fishing email spam like an idiot and got hacked, thus losing adsense for his account because the hacker changed the account info. Google and YouTube being unhelpful because he doesn't have the account info.

To the anon that recommended me the Path of the Dark Eldar. I'm on Chapter 3 of Path of the Renegade and it's fucking wonderful so far. I'll read some more later after continuing work on the Raider.
Child soldiers!
Immense physical and mental trauma!
Magic torture!Annoying blond haired child messiahs!
I'll admit; I'm not that well versed on 40k. But what I do like is the creation table threads, because I always think they bring out the best in the board. I also think, for it being a shitty anime, that certain elements of Naruto are right up /tg/'s street.
So, I thought we could back into the minds of thirteen year old weeaboos everywhere and make a country with a hidden village. Maybe even a continent if everyone's up to it. I've made a creation table for a hidden village (no clan creation table yet, sorry), so we can start right away.
If you're interested, please first roll 1d100 to decide on the elemental affiliation of the country! This will give us a general idea of what the climate and geography is like (Land of Water being oceanic isles, Land of Wind being the desert, and so on.)
Rolled 51 (1d100)
>>50826500
I got'cha broheim.
PS, there is a European version of this on 1d4chan
Bump!
I could roll first, if that'd set the ball going?
>>50826601
Oh sweet! I'll check it out.
51 is Wind, meaning somewhere dry and generally fraught with gale force storms. Maybe a tundra or a desert? Should be fun.
Roll 1d100 again: how resource-rich is the surrounding country?
I send a pestilence and plague
Into your house, into your bed
Into your streams, into your streets
Into your drink, into your bread
Upon your cattle, on your sheep
Upon your oxen in your field
Into your dreams, into your sleep
Until you break, until you yield
I send the swarm, I send the horde
Thus saith the Lord

A single thread in a tapestry
Through its color brightly shine
Can never see its purpose
In the pattern of the grand design
And the stone that sits on the very top
Of the mountain's mighty face
Does it think it's more important
Than the stones that form the base?
>>50825913
I call upon combat and slaughter
mages and wizards cause me great laughter
i ask for blood and bones
Given from metal to stones
i speak the eldest languages
Of violence and pain
Giving speeches while killing witches
And all in my way
Been interested in 40k for a long time. Love the starcraft universe, so I figures I'll love the big boys version too. Too damn poor to afford the tabletop stuff, so I picked this up instead. Am I in for a good time?
>>50825389
Not in the slightest. 40k has gone to shit, leave now while you still can.
I mean, that's a pretty mixed bag, but generally speaking you'll probably find something to like.
>>50825407
You dumbass, at least read the thread. He's picked up the video games, not the wargame.
How would history have changed if we discovered radioactivity and studied it in depth at the beginning of the industrial revolution rather than 100 years later like we did in real life?
Could steam engines powered by nuclear reactors become common within a few decades? What kind of effect would it have on the course of history?
A few friends and I have been discussing the idea of something like that for use in a campaign possibly.
World War One would have left most of France uninhabitable by man, along with parts of Britain and Germany.
>>50822703
Its discovery and subsequent unraveling was only possible because of the decades of development that went into the equipment used to measure it in the first place. You'd need to have a lot of things progress more quickly at the very beginning of the industrial revolution.
>>50822703
Exploiting nuclear power isn't just tossing radioactive rocks into a furnace instead of coal. The scientific framework needed to understand radioactivity and the technological foundation necessary to build and run enough reactors to develop practices sound enough to allow for commercial exploitation wasn't there, and would not have sprung up overnight like a Civ tech you just bought from Ghandi.
Good morning and welcome back to Ask A Judge!
If you have a Sydri and Merieke on the field, and you turn an opponents artifact into an artifact creature, and then control it with Merieke, what happens at the end of your turn?
And if it stays under your control, what happens if you untap Merieke after it's an artifact again, since the card says "destroy that creature"?
>>50822305
You control it for as long as you control Merieke. The duration of the control-changing effect is "For as long as you control Merieke Ri Berit"; hell, the effect itself CAN'T know whether the thing stops being a creature, because the control-change effect happens in layer 2, and the type-change happens in layer 4.
When a card says something like 'destroy that creature', referring back to a specific, designated object, it really just means "That exact specific object". It doesn't care if the object has the 'correct' card type at that time.
>>50822386
Thanks! Could you maybe tell me about this layer stuff? Haven't heard much about it before.
What if instead of being set in space, Star wars was set on a world/plane more akin to something out of D&D/Warhammer/Lotr? Could it work? What are some general guidelines to converting Space things into their fantasy counterparts?
Yeah. It'd be a samurai game with magic (sorry, "The Force") fluffed as chi.
Star Wars only really has two things going for it: space and all the cool shit that happens in the void, and the force. Plant that sucker on terra firma and your left with only the force, ie magic. So just play D&D and tone down the wackier shit.
Planes are basically planets, so you'll have magical craft that carry people and cargo through planar portals. If you wanted a more low-magic world, you could set it in an archipelago with many islands with diverse cultures and climates, and have lots of sea battles.

So what would be the best commander for a zombie deck?
>>50814390
Gisa and Geralf, probably
>>50814400
gisa and geralf aren't that strong
if you want to make a zombie deck that actually wins a lot, i'd probably do some golgari bullshit with mazirek or something. zombie creatures themselves aren't really strong enough for EDH. the best thing about zombies are the fact that you can make a ton of zombie tokens quite easily with grave titan, overseer of the damned, under the floorboards, and so on. and by splashing green, you get a lot of support for token strategies and alpha strikes.
How do I design a character to fit and play well with party members I know next to nothing about, in a campaign I know nothing about, where we're traveling together for a reason I don't know yet in order to achieve a goal I don't know yet?
What I know:
D&D 5e.
Most players don't have any RPG experience.
There's probably going to be a Cleric, Druid, Ranger, and a Fighter. I'm playing a Monk.
No evil alignments.
Seems a lot of us will be elves.
The DM plans to design the campaign around all our characters, and hasn't told me anything.
>>50813524
have you tried asking the DM and/or other players yet
>>50814107
Yes. The DM is actively keeping mum about it.
>>50814156
Then grab amnesia. That's a thing you can do in 5e, right? Make your character as clueless about the rest as you are.
Character art thread.
Just be honest and call it a waifu thread, anon.
It's shameful to start a character art thread and not bring in at least a few pictures of your own.
Shame.

First for you're character making the OP.

Requesting my Nord Healer.
He looks and has a similar physique as #1 but with blond hair and beard, the hair being set as #2 but kept out of his face, and a pale mass of scar tissue on the right half of his neck and throat. He has a dark blue gust of wind tattoo (#3) starting at the left corner of his mouth that curves up under his eye.
He wears a sleeveless piece of padded fur armor (#4) and similarly heavy fur on on his legs. Underneath that he wears lofty sailor's clothes, a mish-mash of fashion from around Tamriel. There's a work knife kept at his belt by his waterskin.
He also has his grandfather's axe (#5 and #6 combined!), which is a single bladed great axe as tall as him. The carvings on the axe head are of fine quality and in the expected nordic style.
Thanks in advance!
Anchoring this with the description, so the artist doesn't have to go back five threads.
On the reference image she would be wearing armor like in image A if color is done feel free to play around a bit, but what is there is fine. She also has a beaten and battered picture locket necklace that would rest against the breastplate. A simple oval or circle design is fine.
The sword, image B, is a one handed blade with a hilt long enough to be used in two. I'm not terribly picky about placement.
She would have solid black hair, like in Image C in the top right corner. Her horn style is almost identical to image D, bottom right corner, and they would grow from behind her temple and curl out and up.
For physical features she has a toned body with a pear shape, although since she's fully covered in armor and clothes muscle definition isn't terribly important. She has red eyes like Image D, and pointed teeth, fangs/elongated canines or full mouth is up to the artist. And lastly a darker human skin tone, a light brown, with freckles.
She's a confident and brash warlock who made a deal with a fiend so if you want to get creative with the image or are stumped for the pose/expression I hope that might help.
