A Guild wants to see you dead, how could you protect yourself?
die before they can kill me
>>51027914
Depends on the setting.
If sufficient magic is available show them a vision of the future some 70 from now.
They have seen me dead.

Break my nose shave off my eyebrows dye my hair and fuck off to fantasy France to be a peasant until this all blows over.
I need pictures! Pictures of half dragons!
Are there any good tools to outline the adventure plot and ideas in a managable and clear way?

Visio.

What about the plot branch where the players all abandon the main quest then fucker off to another continent to challenge the leader of the monks to a kung fu contest?
>>51027074
That was actually planned.
Honestly I meant stuff like character connections etc
Even with magic, how in the nine hells can the Dwarves shift that much dirt and rock in order to make a Fortress?

Most fortresses are extremely old. You're hundreds of generations of work when you see a fortress that is miles in diameter.

That seems okay. Vampire Nighthawk without Flying but a mana cheaper. Still pretty susceptible to removal though.
>>51025924
Definitely a solid pick in limited though.
>>51025875
Not Nighthawk/10
But I am glad we're getting more Vampires. I remember I was talking with someone a while ago about how they're major Black creatures, but they pointed out how they barely had any cards in the past few blocks (I think this was before BFZ).
You come across the following figure in the subterranean castle's ante-chamber.

It's getting an update, anon. Nobody wants to build for it when they'll have to change it later.
Systems suitable for a campaign set during Napoleanic wars?
Thinking about running a short set during the War of the Third Coalition. It is December 1805, the Battle of Austerlitz leaves Austria in complete disarray and the Russian army withdrawing enmasse.
PCs can be French, Austrian, Russian and possibly Swede or British depending if I can shoe horn volunteers at Austerlitz.
The party is effectively formed by the survivors meeting up near the battlefield. A combination of French PCs pursuing routed coalition pcs. PCs and a few npcs reach village where peasants offer to hide/ quarter for the night.
Pagan shenanigans ensue leading up to ritual sacrifices, moon orgies, demons and the resurrection of an old god. Some real rite of spring grade shit.
Planning to use CoC as it is the only system I am familiar with that plays like a horror investigation. However not sure how well it would translate into a party exclusively of soldiers.
Also not sure if the language mechanics would work well for simple communication amongst part members. Was thinking a lot of difficulty would be language barrier and animosity between former enemies now forced to cooperate in order to survive. Can this be captured well in CoC?
Also I will be making custom character sheets to fit the setting but wondering if I should make credit rating to be a corollary to rank? And use a separate point buy instead of money to determine starting gear and additional points for specialist roles/ command ability?
Have you ever watched A Field In England?
It's set earlier than the Napoleonic Wars - during the English Civil War. It's really fucking weird, magical and a bit... fucked up - but I imagine you might find it very inspirational.
>>51025450
Thanks will give it a shot. Not sure why people still think black and white retains some kind of nuanced artistic value.

Played last week. Was pretty good, won most of my games, got some prize support.
>What's your favorite MtG format? Why?
Legacy because it's Pauper but people actually play.
haven't played pauper yet but gearseeker serpent really interests me. thoughts?
Why isn't Delver of Secrets in Izzet Ninja? I know it's a bad target for Ninja but it's such a powerhouse and fits right in with the deck's plan.

Where? I'm guessing somewhere in SE asia or western europe

This is nonsense. Paid DMing is rare everywhere.

What are some systems that would be good for running a campaign set in the Mass Effect universe?
Try Eclipse Phase, pretty spacey, you can just cut stuff about morphe or converts it to races.
>>51021603
Mass Effect D20
You can probably kludge together something with a star wars system (maybe EotE).
Good morning and welcome back to Ask A Judge!
Since we're in the heart of spoiler season, I'd like to remind you to take any answers given about spoiled cards with a grain of salt; there is every possibility that the CR will receive tweaks when the new set drops, or that the answer I give based on the reminder text of a new keyword doesn't perfectly match the answer based on the actual CR entry (which I don't have yet!). Also, for really odd/unique cards, I'll make it clear when I'm not 100% sure of my answer, and remind you to wait for the FAQ for a definitive one!
Will this card do anything against "you win the game" effects that an opponent controls (Helix Pinnacle, Felidar Sovereign...)
>>51024361
No, you didn't lose the game. Your opponent win the game.
I have no creatures on the field when I cast this, does it sacrifice itself?
