I haven't had a lot of magic items in my campaign because of Raggi's and DCC's writings, but I'm starting to think that that was a big mistake. It's a part of the game after all.

Just finished the movie and I must say I enjoyed much of the setting. Besides the ninth ray that sounded lame and inexplained.
The fact that in the 1911 the author thought of solar powered wings was nice as well as the explanation of why the protagonist was a one man army (different gravity=I'm HULK).
What is your opnion about it the movie and book? What age have you read it? Is the rest of the setting cool/interesting? Are books worth reading? Should the princess show more tits?

Rogue Traders aren't quite as brutally cutthroat as others would have them. Many, realizing just how filthy stinking rich they are, like to act with honour, grace and so forth. Until you fuck with their interests, then they gouge out your eyes and throw you out of an airlock.
Orks are not stupid lovable morons. They're brutal motherfuckers who'll stab you in the throat and eat your corpse. They don't respect the strength of anyone who isn't an Ork, and what they can't fight or loot, they burn.
Chaos is self-destructive, but in many cases the followers of the Dark Gods are exquisitely aware of how bad an idea it is to try and immediately fuck with someone who's just as powerful as they are. Meaning that intra-Chaos conflict is mostly subtle, until one group thinks they're in an incredibly secure position, and attempts to wipe out the others.

I haven't played her, so grain of salt, but probably not. Her crew box is mostly unhireable summons, so you need to buy a lot of models along with her stuff to make her viable- even moreso than most summoners.

Anyone play any fun games today? Played against a pretty bro Nurgle player in a 1250pt game. Ended up having to get my Enginseer into combat to kill the final Plague Marine on the board after about 4 rounds of combat. Hopefully this pic is a little better as well.
