I'm pretty sure every system has a subset of players who give everyone else a bad name.
What's your favorite poison, and who makes you roll your eyes the instant that hit the table?
>>51463509
The kind of person who'd try to play Shadowrun as a 9yr old Dryad girl built to be the team's face. These players seem to think they're entitled to succeed because muh stats, and get galactically buttblasted when the GM dares to suggest that factors other than raw mechanics might be relevant.
I really hate L5R players who try to force firearms and similar technological changes into the setting.
Yes, there are multiple alternate histories for it, and yes, they can be pretty fun and interesting. But the core history doesn't have it or need it and it's really annoying when they constantly try to shove it in.
Really, trying to shove firearms in where they aren't supposed to be is annoying in every setting.

>Gotta see what the DM generaly thinks about that, the rules in the book are not exactly straightforward "if its below 0 degrees you go into a coma" isnt exactly helpfull with things like clothes and whatnot.
The rules in the book often enough are not straightforward. Each group needs to use thoughtful and constructive reasoning to interpret them in ways that make sense in terms of lore and game-balance.
I'd express my opinion on it like this: Cold-blooded characters take the penalty when their bodies get cold. If they're in a heated building, or a heated vehicle, or a heated outfit, they would not be as cold. That said, it makes sense for heated clothes to have some sort of limit on how long they can provide adequate warmth before they need recharging. I'd say a good benchmark would be 2 hours without a noticeable power-pack, 6-8 hours with a fanny-pack sized one, 24 hours with a backpack-sized one, and indefinitely while plugged in.
He could rule that heated clothes can be set to change a cold-blooded character's effective temperature by up to 10 degrees Celsius per point of rating. A heated set of winter clothes might have availability equal to rating, and cost around 100 to 500xRating depending on how fashionable it is.
>>51463188
>you'd be charged more if they knew you were cold-blooded because they know you can't continue without it
That's only one component of demand: you could say the same thing about regular heating, water, and food. Thing about essential supplies like that is that market forces tend to bring it down to a price that allows most people to survive.
When multiple clothing-suppliers compete against each other to offer heated clothing (which they would immediately rush into, even if prices were initially high), and worn heated pads are already a relatively cheap alternative, the price would drop to a level that's affordable to the average lizard-person.

Lets see, the Elven Operator is a straight up alcoholic, and has so far been fine on-mission (mostly). Off mission, he's been barred from every drinking hole within a 10 mile radius of his house, and he's badly pissed off the Face and the Mage after an unfortunate incident with a trio of Halloweeners, a Pool table, and a trip to the local street doc.
Otherwise it's mostly NPCs that indulge. My group is a little straight-laced when it comes to drugs in our games

Thanks yekka, chummer has been a godsend for my group and this is the only hang-up we've had.

Also, anime armor thread, I guess.

Exposed thighs mostly. That's just asking for some innuendo about someone shoving a sword between her legs, and then it stops being funny because she's unable to walk and is bleeding out.
Nothing, if someone complain about woman warrior armor tell them that if they believe in possibility of "dragons, wizards and female warriors" they should accept bikini/shitty armor if one decides that particular woman wears it

Are you ready for this?
The prolds are one of the more unique races of the world in that it's a symbiotic race comprised of two completely different species - small, hyperintelligent avian humanoids resembling penguins and hulking walrus-like pinnipeds with marsupial pouches where they carry their avian companions. However, these two see each other as mere aspects of the same race. Indeed, their symbiotic existence predates their culture and their status as a sentient race. Millennia of mutual evolution eventually made the two species vitally dependant on each other.
In their symbiosis, the avians are the brain, they do the thinking and make the decisions, which they're extremely good at due to their impressive intelligence and formidable psychic powers. The pinnipeds are the brawn, they follow the commands of the avians and protect them using their unmatched physical strength. But they're more than just brute force, they're also extremely skilful. Their flippers are very evolved and capable of performing very delicate tasks.
In spite of their strange appearance and lifestyle, the prolds do have a complex and highly developed culture. They're organised into trusts, which are a mixture of a clan and a limited company, and specialise in fishing and fresh water production. They use magic to purify seawater, freeze it into icebergs and then transport them wherever there's demand for it. Most of their cities are also located on artificial icebergs that drift relatively freely in the sea. Their ports on the firm land serve as little more than large marketplaces.
The avians are very uppity and snobbish, prone to overusing obscure and sophisticated vocabulary in their speech, even to the detriment of clarity. They're not afraid to talk down to anyone, knowing that their pinniped would protect them if things get out of control. The pinnipeds come across as dim-witted brutes. They hardly ever speak, usually allowing the avians to do the talking.

I can't comment on that because I don't think anyone plays effegies.

They are pretty useful for certain masters and setups. Collodi is of course the big one as he can hire every effigy in the game, and likes having them there so he can buff is attacks to unhealthy levels.
>>51450632
The arcane effigy is pretty good for arcanist. A 4 point model with accomplice and condition removal is pretty nice.

Also gonna make a point of commenting on the parts that I like, because at this point I feel like an ungrateful twat for the number of tweaks and modifications I've asked for from Bog Roll.
First off, the rapier. I didn't really know what it would turn out like, and I think I half-expected it to end up just being a curved rapier with a string on it. What you've given me is so much better than that, I literally can't even remember what I had in mind in the first place.
The armor is segmented and ornate and literally everything I wanted. Form-fitting, fashionable, probably-impractical-but-who-cares-cause-it-looks-awesome... And then you went and added little details like the choker, and the straps on the side, and the ring-thing holding the top together despite the leather cleavage. Goddamn, man, it's amazing.
And don't even get me started on how awesome the slightly-puffy shirt looks beneath the mostly-form-fitting armor. It really brings home the fact that she's a Bard, and Bards are all about looking frilly and goddamn fabulous. Because she looks goddamn fabulous. And I love her so much.
Requesting a swarthy late roman dwarf.
He is dressed for war with helm, mail, shield, and spear. But he is also dressed for court in his best regalia. Red, purple, and gold sheath him.
His arms are as splendid as his clothes. His spear is hammered bronze, and the ash shaft is painted in a rainbow of rings down the length. His blue shield has a gold inlay of a labyrinth with a spider in the center with ruby eyes. The reinforcing bands of his helmet are decorated in gold and silver depicting fighting goats. Every buckle, clasp, and button is a precious metal or gem.
As for his physical form. He is less Tyrion and more young Robert Baratheon... but 4'8. With a luscious black curly beard meeting his chest.

Looking at TY again, I think the issue with Cross ratings is that lack of rerolls. Reading between the lines cross 3+ is just basic tank cross, 2+ is wide tracks, and 4+ is overloaded... which means there's no difference between wheeled vehicles crossing and heavier tanks.

I am new to conlanging and I had the fucking idiotic idea of making a proto-lenguage like PIE. But I cant understend/find information about phonological constraints of PIE. How cant I get this information from proto-indo-european or examples from other languages?
I dont really want a "full lenguage", I want something like a list of words that I can use In specific moments of the history. I really want to show how the language changes through the ages in a reallistic way. This is why I cant just put some letters together that sound cool or look cool.
>>51397351
Going to throw my old post to here as conversation starter.
>What's a high-end fancy food in your setting?
Duck meat. Mallard Folk herds domesticated ducks as food for special occasions and trade goods. Of course foodstuffs imported from abroad is always wanted by nobility.
>What's a food for commoners? What are some crops grown in your setting?
Oats and Rye are the main crops and food derived from them. Easy to grow and both Mallard Folk and farm ducks can eat oats. They also grow some marsh grasses and reeds for leaner times.
>What are some animals kept as livestock?
Because Mallard Folk are pretty small, it is rare for them to have cattle. So pigs, chickens and of course ducks are kept. Mallard Folk really doesn't care that they are herding their "retarded" cousins and eating them. Their neighbours do find that slightly disturbing.
>What kinds of animals are kept as pets?
Cats are liked for their mouse and rat hunting skills. Cats also are somewhat frightened from different creatures that move in the woods that they serve as alarms. When cat behaves erratically something is awry.
