How can I be less scared of my AE-1 out of my collection my AE-1 is my least used becuase I always fuck up or all the photos come out too stiff.

Let me explain I shoot point and shoot candid photo diary Nan Golden type stuff and the AE-1 doesn't seem to fit into that but I always see everyone using it and just popping it off like it's nothing. So how can I be less scared of it or is it just that it simply doesn't fit into my style?

Hey, I just sold my camera and was wondering if sony SLT cameras are reliable. Im coming off from selling my eos 20d which had more than 300k shutter count and have a little more than 200 dollars to work with.
7 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
They have a great bang/buck ratio if you shoot sports or video. Some have had shutter issues but I didn't encounter anything on my a57. Your budget will fit that one or a58 if you shoot stills only. a68 is just above your budget. For 250 you really can't afford to be picky about camera lifespan.
>>
>>3141857
>SLT
>have no optical viewfinder
>have terrible EVF that has brightness issues and eye-raping colours
>still have a mirrorbox, so can't adapt lenses
>dead mount
>Sony doesn't know that describing something's shape as "potato" is a derogatory
Why?
>>
>>3142416
Can you suggest something in his budget that has
>1080p60 with constant pdaf
>12fps stills

ITT: Beautifully "shitty" lenses

Pic related. Lomo Minitar-1 32mm f2.8. Would never pay full price for it, won it for $175 on eBay. Most fun I've ever had with a lens. Wide open it's garbage, vignetting, flare, low contrast, soft, but at f8 it's dope.

Any other "crap" but fun lenses that I should know about?

Sup /p/,

Not long ago, we had this thread >>3131893 (currently still visible in the archives). Now, given that I'm a bit of an autist - I'm browsing 4chan after all - and had a bit of time on my hands, I decided it'd be interesting if I did some number crunching for you! So here it is, the breakdown of all listed camera bodies. Did not count the number of anons - feel free to do that for me if you want - but many own several bodies. Lenses were not included obviously.

A few facts
>one anon owns all five Polaroids
>one gearfag owns five Canon bodies
>while I've seen people with Hasselblad cameras here, none replied in the thread
>gearfags with many bodies and lenses were usually Sony users, Canon users (more bodies, fewer lenses - statistically skewed due to small sample size and two insane gearfags) or film users with lots of vintage glass

Have fun, and don't flame too much.

Kinda funny to see I have more Minolta bodies than all of /p/.

I'd love to know the ratio of shilling posts to actual photos posted for different brands.
Like Sony would be about 500 shills per photo.

Not sure what this thread is supposed to be. But if you're wondering what ansel would be like in 2017, he would be shooting medium format digital, and a fucking photoshop master.
>>
100% he would be doing video work, probably drone videography/photography. Probably heavily involved on social media as well
