Does anyone here sell their prints?
Any advice on how to sell prints online/in person/what kinds of prints to make (e.g. giclée)?

I'm too tired to tell you much. Don't do giclee, they suck ass. If you're doing art shows, do metal prints or framed paper prints of the highest quality. Nobody will buy your shit online, only in person with emotional purchases

If I were to buy a Canon 5D Mk 1 and fit my wonderful 50mm FD lens, how is the autofocus? Obviously I won't have the aids like in my AE-1 but would I have any electronic aids at all?

Hey /p/, I am looking to get into on location flash photography using High Speed Sync. The problem is that I have a canon and canon will only allow high speed sync usage with canon speedlights.
I want to get a 300w/s monolight as my key and a 120w/s light as my fill.
I already have radio triggers that I have been using forever with offbrand speedlights that do not transmit ttl data.
My question is, what can I do to get HSS to work in this configuration?
Will it work out of the box with any trigger and sync cable?
For example https://www.adorama.com/fplfbf120.html this monolight
I am not sure as I have only used speedlights without sync cords before.
Also, what about rear curtain sync

Depending on the lens adapter you get, you MIGHT get focus confirmation. I.e., when the lens is in focus over a given focus point, that point will light up. You need to search for this specifically, though, since it's not the default--the adapter needs to have a chip on it to provide enough of a brain for the camera to know it's got a lens on it.
Hey /p/ I'm looking for this thing I could of probably just searched on google but instead I'll ask here since I don't go outside much and need interactions with other losers on the internet.
Digital photography does the same thing and more. It's also can be easily replicated and you can actually see the photo your taking before taking it.
But it terms of aesthetic, I think film beats digital by miles. What does /p/edophiles think?
You can get higher resolution photos with film if you know what you're doing
Really though film is just fun. It forces you to slow down and really think about what you're shooting. When I shoot digital I end up taking so many pictures that I don't care about. With film I usually get a lot better photos, just because I care a lot more about the actual photo that I'm taking.
Digital is more convenient in every single way. Even the higher resolution is a moot point unless you're making a massive print of the photo (like, the size of a wall). But I still love to shoot film more than digital.
>>3141755
Digital it's the natural evolution of photography formats, so it is better.
But like >>3141757 said film is just fun.
It makes every shot feel important so you slow down and really think about the shot you're about to take.
Film looks really good looking too I hate editing and a lot of times film just gives me exactly what I'm looking for right away.

It turned me off that modern lenses are focus by wire, even zoom by wire. Even their aperture is by wire, not manual. So to me it's just nice using a camera that has all manual mechanism. Because i can't really trust electronics fully. They can be broken, they can have errors, bang them against the wall a little bit and their programs will be fucked up and maybe they'll set your aperture at 3.5 when you actually set it at 3. Idk, i can trust manual cameras better, i feel like a real photographer using manual cameras. And it just impresses me how all the machinery in manual cameras work without electricity. Digital photography is trying to replicate film photography in the most unnecessary way, like why don't you just use Powershot? Why even have aperture and ISO in digital cameras? It makes sense to have both stuffs in film cameras, but why have them in digital photography? Just make brightness and contrast etc etc in the menu and voila good picture. if everything is electronic (aperture, ISO, shutter speed), why even have it? Aperture only makes sense in film photography.

Hello fellow M4/3 users of /p/,
Which one should I get for my E-M5? Both are used.
The Olympus 17mm goes for about USD 140, while the Sigma 19mm is USD 128. USD is not my currency by the way but they sound reasonable as well in my currency.
What do I usually take photos of? I don't know, anything I guess. I'm an absolute beginner and I have the kit lens 12-50MM but I think it's pretty difficult to use.
I also heard that prime lens is usually sharper. I also am trying to achieve some nice DoF effect and honestly I think M4/3 gives that nice, subtle DoF effect. However, it is pretty hard to get it with the kit lens.
Maybe I'm just bad but I've only been able to take 1 or 2 photos with acceptable bokeh with the kit lens.
The website of pic related also shows that the Sigma have more blade than the Olympus. So perhaps I should just get the Sigma?

Let this thread die. I can't delete it, Clover refuses to delete. Thank you and sorry.

The compact size and features of M4/3 is just too good for me to pass it up. I've played around with other people's DSLR. I like my Olympus better. Suits my needs very well.
I like the "My personal M43 thread" thread. It gave me a nice idea how to utilize this camera better. Both motivational and inspirational.

Admit it if you were not such scared little bitch with social anxiety you would stop photographing random skylines (landscape meme), puddles (street photography meme), street signs (same here), buildings (architecture).
You would make pictures of humans, of beautiful humans, that have a story to tell. But it takes courage to aim the lens at strangers or work with models on daily basis.
So why don't you stop being such a weak little faggot, stop posting these random compositions that no one cares about, your not gonna be the next HCB. Use photography as a tool to overcome your borderline autism and connect with people.
You will feel a much bigger reward for working with people and capturing people.
Human emotions are far more complex then any landscape, street sign or other random garbage.
So anon, get out of your basement, start shooting people, post ads for free portrait shots and you will quickly find people that will be a model for you. Well you might even get laid with one of the hotties.
I hope I can inspire at least one anon here to connect with more people.
