Do you know of some photographers who took photos of literally nothing, where all the focus is on the composition, colors, lines and such, but at the same time, photos which still provided some emotion and which are considered a true art?
I'm asking because I can't make photos of amazing landscapes, animals, architecture and what not, that keep getting praise here, because I don't travel a lot, and I don't know if I just don't notice enough things in my boring city or if there is really nothing interesting to shoot here.
I just don't know what to take pictures of without appearing like a tryhard, so I need some inspiration from photos of super usual subjects that I can learn something from.

I can't take photos of a white wall like you, my sensor is too dirty and would leave spots

abstract photos?
hey /p/ so im a total newbie and am looking for photos that are more art pieces than just a 'picture of something'. I have no idea what im talking about really but just stuff like pic related.
if anyone could point me in the right direction or recommend some photographers/artists id appreciate it
I know just what you mean. There are thousands of those in my recycle bin.
My technique is to bump that shutter button without knowing it while my camera is slung over my shoulder.

Abstract tips
>don't fear to make something that looks like nothing, because it's actually what we want
>there is no need to keep original/natural tones
>you can fuck up colors and details in post, because you can do what the fuck you want
>try to find something that is aesthetically pleasing (pattern, shape, colours, details...) and make it the main subject, without context
>play with materials, light, experiment random things...
Abstract photography is fun because you are free from any rules.
I fucking love abstract, pic is something from a serie I made recently. I also made this >>3144838
>model keeps suggesting ideas during the photoshoot that she thinks would look really great
>all of the ideas are incredibly cliche
Working with models from top-tier agencies is a breeze and enjoyable, working with girls who have had no experience at all is similarly easy, but these aspiring IG models are not worth the trouble/annoyance.

The question really is what you're even going for. Stock footage? Product shots?

It has its place. its compression algorithm can be more efficient for certain images (mostly logos/drawings). Its place is on the web, and not for big, detailed photos.
Do you take pictures of your family, /p/?

His Mother is good looking and he lives in a palace.
Poor kid. I bet he's really envious of dirty faced wrinkly poor people that live in a hovel.

Ever since I found it in the attic (inside an Olympus bag) I've loved this camera to death. But as much as I love it, it's slow, clunky, and has numerous problems compared to other cameras I've heard about.
It kills batteries within an hour of being on, although I don't know the average lifespan of a camera. The image quality is very passable but not as good as I'd hoped. But it does its job well and the zoom it has is a huge bonus.
I have a basic grasp on things like fps, ISO, and aperture. Would it be worth it to get a new camera? The Canon EOS Rebel SL2 looks promising. The Canon Rebel Ti3 also seems neat.

Isn't an extra panorama mode useless, you could just place your camera on a tripod and achove the absolute same effect, when not better
Yea I'd say get a mirrorless or DSLR camera d you'll benefit greatly.
Main things to consider when deciding is size/weight and battery life.
