getting closer gives you the benefit of filling up your frame and blurring your background even further. just make sure you focus on his face and not the head of the guitar cause since its the closest thing to you its what the autofocus will want to focus on

That's what I was also thinking. I mean, I know my subjects are not interesting, but I don't know (if possible) how to make mundane stuff around me catch people's attention.

Mostly just be patient, and keep extra batteries on hand lol.
Try to shoot with a good lens that handles low light well, and if your camera is good with low light try to use a higher f stop. I try using 8-13 to compensate for shallow depth of field wherever possible, and a macro light ring really helps a lot.

Moste of them were shot from a moving car, so that's why a composition is not always the best. This was from a trip actually, I still consider it boring, but it can go only even more boring from here, and it really makes me sad.
I'm constantly trying to find something worthy of shooting, and I'm always thinking that I just don't have a good eye for it, but maybe there really isn't anything. I don't know.

How old are you? Have you actually tried learning? Do you own a computer? 8 months is quite a lot of time to get even some idea of a work flow... Get a computer, and a software that can open raw files, like rawtherapee 5. Watch some youtube videos how to edit, google how to use your software. And you know, read the manual that came with your camera.
Here's a recent snap I took while hiking, just a local river on cloudy day... I dusted off my old Nikon D80 with the 18-55 kit lens just to freshen my memories. It was actually quite fun to use for a change, less automation means more thought goes in to shooting and the hi iso noise and low dynamic range are limiting factors that you have to work around. Also while the ovf is small, it's still much more natural to use than evf I think, even a great one like the one on my x-t1. Image quality doesn't compare too well against todays cameras, there's not much room to fuck around in post processing.

Lightroom Mobile for Android can open up RAWs just fine. The settings are limited but it gets the job done.
Proprietary RAW formats may require a paid Adobe account though. You get one month trial. DNG can be loaded without logging in.
Or shoot in JPG and load them in VSCOCAM or something. There are tons of successful photographers working with VSCOCAM almost exclusively.
