I'm looking at snagging a set of 18x8.5 BBS CH with brand new Pirelli P Zeros. I'm haggling with the guy but it looks like it'll cost about $1500 CAD. Is this a decent deal?
Also cop thread I guess, what are you fags getting?

>BBS
they are good quality and some models are highly sought after
but can be rather pricey
>>14653299
That's cool, I just want to get rid of my 16" OEM wheels and I don't want garbage reps or to pay $5k for a set that won't shatter.
Pics of actual wheels
>>14653252
Do it, great price especially if the P-zeros are new
alright /o/, i need help
Today I hit a parked car cause I was driving my family's huge ass minivan. It was really light damage, and no one was outside when it happened even though it was in front of shops. So, I ran. No one confronted me and no one found my car. Am I fucked?
>>14652855
No. But that's a really shitty thing to do OP.
>>14652880
sorry, but my family will kill me if I hit someone. All there was was paint damage, and I told them someone sideswiped me while I was parked. Am I in the clear/will I get a call from someone?
>>14652896
If no one saw you you're in the clear. And even if they did see you I doubt they'd go through the trouble of getting you to pay for some light damage, unless they're dicks.

Shit man it is that time of the year. Thanks for reminding me.
Hello /o/. This marks my first venture into your board. I probably don't deserve anyone's time because I've been an absolute idiot in taking my car. I'm a poorfag, granted, but I've definitely been taking shit care of my fucking car.
I have very little knowledge regarding vehicles. I've been learning more in recent years, but that doesn't change the fact that younger me took shit care of my car.
As the subject says, I have an '04 Sentra. I'm wondering what the best course of action would be to fix it and what it would likely cost. I'm also wondering where to go or if I should do things myself(in which case what I'd need and how I'd do it).
I believe I need a new serpentine belt, as my car often screeches on startup. It's been this way for a couple of years.
I probably also need to change the transmission fluid, because it does have a little fight when shifting gears.
The one that feels the worst is the power steering. I was noticeably low on power steering fluid when driving. I had some added and it felt better for a few months but now has gotten worse. Nothing seems to be leaking under my vehicle, so would it be the pump? There's decent resistance on startup and at low speeds, with still some resistance once it gets going. I haven't been driving because of this.
Any advice, info, etc. is greatly appreciated.
>>14652190
How many miles?
>>14652200
130,000
>>14652210
I'd change all the fluids. Coolant, oil, brake fluid, trans fluid, and power steering fluid.
Get under it and look at the lines coming off the rack. My civic had a slow leak there. $630, so your's would probably be similar. Or it could be as simple as a line.
I'd replace the spark plugs and coils. Oem parts are best. Check suspension components. Bushings, sway bar links, ball joints, etc...
Give me one reason not to consider a Camry SE V6
It's
>reliable
>practical
>quick (0-60 in 5.8 sec)
>fuel efficient
>affordable
>spacious
>comfy as fuck
Really can't. Camries have always been a good ecobox. Enjoy your sedan.
>still a girlish camry
>no aftermarket support
>autotragic
>expensive for what it is
There you go op, 4 reasons
>>14651904
It's
>not a corola with a manual trans
>boring
>wrong weel drive
Will the 400 hp version of this car be any good?
Is it trying to go after RCF and BMW M4? or something less?
How much will it cost max loaded?
>>14651601
>pigfat
>no manual option (most likely)
>that hideous window kink
2/10 would not drive
Why is every coupe looking more and more like an Accord coupe these days?
>>14651613
Will the engine be any good? I have a G37 albeit sedan but I want to get a refresh. Maybe I have to go BMW?
OP btw
NA here, I live in colorado and I've heard plenty of talk about the Mazda Miatas' ability to conquer in snow. Since im going to purchase one anyways would it be worth it to lift it a few inches and put beefier tired on it? Like a rally lift, nothing crazy.
Pic somewhat related.
>>14651473
It would look sexy af
Do it
Be careful with putting large tires on a car that comes with originally fairly small tires. It can dick with the speedometer a lot and the wheel speed sensor. I'd recommend only going 2 inches bigger at most. A rally lift will look good and unique. Just be careful with you center of gravity, the more you lift it, the more the car will lumber around corners and will ultimately ding your top speed and cornering capabilities. Good luck senpai!
>>14651600
Thanks, dad. I appreciate the knowledge bomb.
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has ever modded a catalytic converter. Would like to run a rod through mine and gut it so its hollow. I was wondering if anyone has any experience or advice. I'm mainly wondering if id have to tamper with the sensor as well. Any advice?
>>14651469
Why the fuck would you want to do this?
>>14651548
Because if your engine burns oil your cats get clogged
The gain will be extremely minimal at best and you'll just be a faggot.
>Toyota Stays on Track to Report 3 Trillion Yen in Annual Profit
And they contribute nothing to the industry. Their cars are the cheapest cost to build and yield the biggest profit margin AND THEY CANT EVEN MAINTAIN THEIR QUALITY! LOL Forget bringing new, practical technology to the market.. they can't even get a valve spring right FFS!
>They're still using 1980s engines with 4 speed autos.
>Their cars are about the ugliest you can buy.
>They still use decades old platforms- shitty platforms like the M-something platform... the one used in corolas.
>Still using decades old engines with PFI
>They can't even beat Honda and Mazda for fuel economy with their shitty old-school engines that burn more oil than gas.
>They can't even make a modern V6 without defective valve springs.
>They can't even make a head gasket that doesn't eat itself or head that doesnt warp or manage coolant flow, despite their engines being some of the oldest designs
>They can't stop the oil burning.
>They can't stop their run-away death traps
>They get sludge in the engine even with the lowest outputs.
>They can't even install piston rings the right way up.
>They have way more silent recalls than Ford.
>They pay BILLIONS each year to buy customers off and shut people up in court.
>They lie harder when they get caught lying-- or Toyotas are the only car to use floor mats and accelerator pedals.... LOL FUCK OFF GUYS
HONEST QUESTION HERE GUYS: Is there anything useful Toyota can do with their billions of dollars of profits by selling such a cheap to manufacture product at high prices?
>>14651287
They are reliable so that's all that matters.
>Is there anything useful Toyota can do with their billions of dollars of profits
I guess they could pay some Italian or British body designer like Lotus or something to design them a Super/Hyper-car (like the Nissan R390)and just show off what their engineers can do.
>>14651287
Trolololololololo
>>14651287
Keep it simple, stupid.
Sure, you can make cars perform better, but it's more expensive, and less reliable (especially long-term).
Toyota sells affordable, reliable and well-built cars. They are quite literally the poster child of lean manufacturing and quality control (see nummies factory).
If you want something faster, get it. Better mpg? Get it. Better handling? Go ahead.
Want a jack of all trades, that's exceptional at nothing, other than in value? Get a Toyota. Turns out, that's what 90% of drivers are looking for, something simple, cheap and reliable.
Toyota has, and will continue, to cater to that audience. And its hard to argue that the Prius was unsuccessful.
Thoughts on this car?
I originally wanted a Corolla (I want a reliable durable econobox), but the iM is basically a hatchback Corolla that looks better.
>>14651215
It's shit. Needs a turbo for more torque down low.
>>14651215
Is that a Toyota Auris?
>>14651245
Yes.
What's up /o/. Was wondering if one of you could help me identify this car. I'm stumped.

Is high revving a reason for a traffic stop?
>on my way to work
>turning from gas station to main road
>leave in first gear since it's less than 100 feet away
>running catless
>see cop at light in oncoming lanes
>suddenly turns into turn lane heading after me
>assume he is pulling me over
>hastily find parking spot between parked cars
>cop drives past slowly
Was he coming after me, or was this just coincidence?
>>14650890
Being a faggot in front of a cop is always a bad idea, even if you dindu nuffings.
>>14650890
Pretty sure you can be pulled over for revving in a neighborhood past certain hours. But if you're doing that then you're a faggot and deserve it. But you didn't say you were revving, you said you were running catless.
