Are you for or against lane splitting?
Personally I'm against it unless traffic is at 10 mph or below. Filtering seems much safer.
>inb4 /dbt/
>>14664068
I'm from cali, nanny state extraordinaire. we allow lane splitting and I think the people passing me at 30 mph when i'm doing 10 mph or 60 when I'm doing 40 mph are absolute assholes.
I hope they keep letting them do it though, if you want to go so fucking hard that you are going to lane split every day during commute more power to you.
We had an asshole that was literally just pressing his horn every 5-10 seconds on some shitty jap bike while he was lane splitting, get some loud pipes if you want to be loud asshole.
>>14664274
It's pretty hard to lane split at those highed speed differentials from what I can tell. Watching moto v-logs the riders often have to slow down and watch their bar and mirror clearance.
Anybody who's willing to take a risk over that really is asking to eat it in an accident.
Is this a good first car? I want something a little classic and it has good reviews. Anything to look out for?
>Anything to look out for?
Fire. You will die in a fire.

Things coming from behind.

This can be solved with a fire extinguisher? Idiot
I'm tired of the awd evo and gtr cucks, thoughts?
>>14663806
Bet the guy who owns this <3's the h8rs
I bet his penis is inside of his ass too.
>>14663806
How are they cucks? AWD is an amazing platform for what it does, there's a reason godzilla raped the living shit out of bathurst back in the day.
Posting a picture of stance faggotry won't make us hate it, stancefaggotry is shitty owners and can happen to any poor car.
In short, terrible bait thread. Back in the day trolling meant backing someone into a corner using logic and wit as well as a gentle lie, so they had no comeback.
Now, you kids believe a response is just trolling, which it's not. On behalf of everyone, you are a fucking moron.

Some 20 carmakers have committed to making automatic emergency braking systems a standard feature on virtually all new cars sold in the U.S. by 2022, according to a new plan from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
"They (customers) need to understand that this is going to be something that they need to adapt to, where the car is doing things that are outside of your control. Which takes some getting used to because all the sudden you're like 'oh my gosh my car just stopped, and I didnt do that!'" -Rebecca Lindlan, Kelley Blue Book
How do you feel about this?
It will only make people take even more risks and foster even lower driving standards overall
It will stop retards from crashing into the good sports cars of old. Good idea.
>>14663320
>How do you feel about this?
I was watching a honda commercial about auto-brake, thinking jesus I don't want my fucking car to do my driving for me.
then I remembered that a woman rear-ended me going 80kph last November. she hit me hard enough to spin me and push me into oncoming traffic, where I was hit head on.
I guess if automatic braking would've prevented that, I can see it being a good thing.
How can i improve my Camry without looking like a fool?

So I've always had a piece of shit car and I finally got a new car for the first time in my life. I'm 23 years old and I want to get under glow for my a Scion iA.
I was thinking purple or green, and I wanted to get interior lights as well. My question is which brands are the most reliable and what are your general thoughts on underglow.
I live in California do the only restriction on color is red.
Pic related (not my car)
0/10
>I live in California do the only restriction on color is red.
there's a lot more restrictions than just that and you cant drive with them on.
shits tacky as fuck and only use i see for them is for when you open the door or with a switch for if you drop something under your car at night.
>>14662779
2/10 is the best I can do.
Im moving to heavy work and i need a truck asap, i have 8000 to spend. What are my best options? Probably gonna get one used. Ram? F-f250?
>>14662588
They're gonna be shit at that price point. You want a pre-2006 cummins or 7.3 powerstroke.
I would look for a f250 or gmc/chevy 2500
The chevy will be cheaper.. and cheaper to fix, but more likely to break
The f250 will be the most reliable, but least likely to fail.
the dodge.. lol.. o.k. maybe a late 90s cummins. Maybe a 5.9.. but it will have small issues.
>>14662710
>the f250 will be the most reliable but the least likely to fail
???
Ok /o/, I need your help.
Recently my car was totaled, and now I have to decide on a new car. I've narrowed it down to a Mazda CX-5 or a Subaru Forester (Maybe XT, maybe not). I know how you all feel about CUVs, but please put that aside for 5 minutes.
So, CX-5 or Forester, and why??
>>14661377
CX-5 doesn't drive like shit and has a non shit interior
If get an xv crosstrek if I were you. 5 speed, fun to drive and you can do mold offroading as well. Decent mpgs too
>>14661398
>Subaru engines
lol good one Anon
Why do some cars rust?
>living in places where they use road salt while liking cars
You're just asking for it
It depends on the qualtiy and type of metal used. Also the quality of the paintjob.

And also what this guy said >>14660711

>later models have carbon ceramic brakes and magnetic suspensions
>all for $30-45k

O is it wise to use a heat gun to quickly dry cloth seats after being cleaned with degreaser ?
>>14664820
Just take them off and throw them in the dryer, dingbat
>>14665514
How do you propose one throws seats in a dryer, dingbat?
>>14665514
Yes just throw your seats in the dryer, OP. Makes perfect sense.
Why is this car cheaper by 7 k?
The average R34 In clean stock condition sells between
>8k/12k (in aussie land)
R32 Goes for more between 12-18 depending on condition etc
And the starting price of a s2000 is fucking 16.6k-22k on average
Why ?
>i dont like skylines but i could get one
>>14664575
because you could just buy a ford falcon and smoke it while still having a massive boot, fitting your whole family in the back and running on gas foh with that jap shit
>>14664630
Wonder why Ford of AUS never sold those engines in North America.
Best straight-six we had (i think) was the atlas (also called vortec) GM only used it in their trucks but from what i heard they can make decent reliable power.
>>14664575
Why is the R34 less expensive than the R32?
