Anyone know what this part is called? I want to replace it. Might be why I feel a loss of power. It's the grey part with holes in it. It's an Audi A4 B5 '01 much appreciated.

I'm gonna go look at this guy's prelude tomorrow. 219k, no rust, and supposedly no issues (it's the owner's daily). He wants $1600 but I think I can talk him down a bit.

Is there anything I should be scrutinizing very carefully when I check it out tomorrow?

Anything made of rubber, belts, listen for valve noise, jack up the car and check for play in the steering and bushings if he will let you, check the oil level, when you test drive it make sure there is little to no play in the steering, verify for yourself that there is no rust, look for 'marbles' which are little balls of rubber that indicate intense driving in the wheel wells

Anyone know what the hell this is called? It's not a jet suction pump or diverted valve. I've tried everywhere that I could to see what it's connected to, to identify. Help please. It's an Audi A4 B5 '01

Can I tow 1300 pounds behind my Jeep Cherokee without a transmission cooler?

I'm only going to be on the road for two days, and I'm not sure whether I need one.

should be fine. I towed ~2000lbs behind my grand with 600 miles with no issues.
>>
>>14719724
Absolutely
>>
>>14719744

OP here.

I should have mentioned that my Jeep is a '98 with the 4.0L engine and 2WD only.

I'll be going about 900 miles, and someone said I absolutely need a transmission cooler.

I don't have a towing package or anything -- just an aftermarket hitch.

What year is your Grand Cherokee?

If I want a manual, turbo (preferably 5cyl) Volvo wagon in the US, what are my options? I know there weren't any 850R's sold with manuals here. I was thinking a first or second gen v70r?

Did I do good /o/, or are you gonna flash me for blinding oncoming traffic and call me in to the cops? I'm inheriting an old family sedan and switched out the yellow-azz DRL/high-beams for LEDs. I lost high-beam function but I'm gonna Californicate and don't need no high-beams.

What color temp would you guesstimate they are? Wanna color-match some HID low-beams.

>>14719063

If you get HIDs then for the love of god get them installed by a professional. There's nothing worse than having some dick blinding you with his badly installed HIDs.

Why would you need them if you don't care about not having full beams anyway? Just get some of those Philips white bulbs (Diamond white or something).

Hey /o/,

i'll be honest, im kinda out of option to fix my is300. Heres the issues: the hazard lights are flashing when there is no key in the starter. I've read that it might be my turn signal relay, but i changed it and still doing it. I have also disconnected the hazard switch and it won't shut off the lights off. I can't find any rust or corrosion in the driver kick panel, althought there have been a remote starter installed and audio cable passed in that box for a subwoofer in the trunk, and its a shit job. I'm about to set it on fire, i need a lead whatsover

pls halp

>>
>>14719017
Probably there is a short. Pull a wiring diagram off the net and check for the hazard wires for torn insulation and ground/power that's not supposed to be supplied. That aftermarket shit could also be causing the issue.

Any experiences on MB CLK 208 body. Thinking about buying one. With the 320 v6 or 230K. I'm mainly looking at 150k miles driven. They are quite cheap compared to other similiar mercs in my country.

why do exhaust pulses even have a sound? if combustion completes inside the cylinder before the exhaust cycle and all it spits out is the exhaust gas, shouldnt every exhaust just
sound like continuous chuffs of air maybe with some very quiet and muffled explosion pulses from the sound vibrating into the pipes, whether its a full stock exhaust or dragster style dump pipes?
10 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
Combustion and mechanical things make noise.
>>
>>14718154
right, but engines are fairly thick (cylinder walls, water jacket, and exterior block) and combustion has a whole cycle to complete, so shouldnt the time plus sound deadening/absorption make it almost dead quiet?
>>
>>14718168
Metal doesn't absorb sound and noise at all.
