If you like the Fieros, the 1988 GT model is the one to get. GM basically released the car like a steam greenlight game (good idea, half assed incomplete execution) then started to iron out the bugs over the years.

The 88 GT has a little more power and some of the handling issues were worked out. Usually cheap (6 - 8K) to find one with acceptable mileage in good condition.

I'm super interested in getting one and will probably get an 87 or 88 GT sometime in the Spring. In a previous Fiero thread someone mentioned that swapping a 90s 3.4L DOHC engine into them is preferable because they fit easily and make 50+ more horsepower than the stock V6

Haltech Racepak and other brands make similar displays.

If you have to ask what it is and how to use it, you don't need one. Just get a cheap OBD2 dongle and connect via Bluetooth to your phone and use that as a display maybe on a touchpad.

They don't compare, trucks are better in the snow. Real 4x4 with a real transfer case is better than most "awd" systems, bonus points for locking diffs. Trucks have better ground clearance and can actually stand a chance of getting out when they slide into a ditch, while a haldex system shits it's self.

yeah they are. i had one and modded the shit out of it over the years, pretty easy to work on. get a c36 or c43. c230k is fun.

They are great if they don't have rust problems. Just remember it's over 20 years old by now.
