>>16264823
Gimi isn't that good anymore senpai

this is why you should never have kids
Because getting a driver's license is a pathetic joke.
fight me
Bully the gei car
come at me bro
It's yellow.
Nice hubcaps. Real classy.
I want to buy a wagon to run errands, to carry people, to do business trips.
> European model.
> It should be less than 10 years old; Not much to do with brands / models though.
> Petrol engine. The common rail Diesel is a recipe for disaster. I spent over 3500$ on my previous MK7 Transit that had a common rail system. Everything is prone to fail, the injectors, the dual mass flywheel, the high pressure pump, everything. I realize the petrol engine will have less torque, and may be more thirsty, but 3500$ can buy me plenty of petrol.
> Around 2.0-2.4L engine.
> Manual (but that's mostly given here. because AT transmission just breaks more easily, and the bigger problem is that these engines are weak for such huge body.)
Price range: 4.000-10.000$
Well, that's it.
What I found...
So far I found these:
> Peugeot 407 SW 2.0
They say the electronics can die anytime, randomly. Not very reliable.
I also saw some not-so-old 407s that were full of rust.
> Citroen C5
No idea.
> Mitsubishi Grandis 2.4
Praised as reliable, though they say it's sluggish and eats a fuckton. The thirst is no issue for me though.
> Mazda 6 Sport 2.0
No idea if it's reliable or whatever. Never had a Mazda. People praise Toyota, but Mazda? Eh?
People seem to like it.

Tbh diesels and autos should be fine provided it's japanese and under 200k km. You take your chances with french/german/brit shitboxes, despite how well they drive.

I never had a problem with my diesel Xsara Picasso, I would actually recommend a pre-2005 one(2 liter engine) for this, quite comfy on the road

Does any one make a MPG meter for a car that does not have an OBD2 sensor?
Pic related
>>16264471
>auto
>good MPG
not possible unless it's a car from this decade, even high end cars from the 90s had shitty 3 speed automatic gearboxes
Unless your ECU actually calculates MPG I don't think it is possible without extreme nigger rigging
I have the same car and I average about 22-25 mpg
Best you'll get with it. What is a meter gonna do for you? Its not gonna give you any more MPGs.

>>16264611
I was thinking more along the lines of adjusting my driving habits to get a little better mpg.

Prove me wrong
Hammond is the only one with a sense of humor.
Clarkson is an unfunny jaded old cunt.
You faggots are delusional.
Hammond is by far the worst especially post head injury.
May is best girl.

Gas thread fellas, what companies do you trust? Where in America (foreigners you are also welcome) do you live? What fuel grade do you normally run, and what car are you running? I'd like to hear reasons why you run a certian fuel for your dd car(s) and also your track car(s).
I live in Portland Oregon myself, I drive a mk6 gti and I've always ran chevron midgrade. The way I see it mid grade has techron, and I step on it, alot; So premium doesn't really apply to me unless I got a tune for it.

Overall every gas company is okay but MOL has the cheapest gas
>>16264439
I usually fuel up at work(casey's)
Does anybody know anything about their gas?
I want one of these so bad, is it worth it?

Been driving one for 15 years. Keep it in a garage and perform basic maintenance & cleaning. Still looks great. Do you really need something else?

ca71 or ss80 are good for city cars I guess
not much different from 1960s cars in terms of speed and safety

how much of your net income was your car?
60% here

New 2016 chevrolet malibu with options package but no extended warranty package or undercoating add on. About 22% of annual income after taxes. So it was affordable.
Hey /o/. I'm due for an upgrade since I'm currently in a pickle with my current car, recently hit 230k with my 06 Dodge Magnum and problems keep coming up left and right. Recently started learning how to drive stick from my brother and I'm wanting to switch over to manual from auto.
I've found a used 2012 Ford Mustang V6 Manual for 13.5k, budget is 14k so it fits the bill. Also has 24k Miles. Guy took care of it, should I pull the trigger on it? Is this a solid choice? Done my research and haven't read much bad about the newer V6s.
Pic related, identical.
Also had a Cold air intake installed, Pypes installed, bama performance tune also worth noting.
My questions are-
Would this be a solid pick for a first time manual?
Are the newer V6s worth getting into? Heard nothing but good about them.
What kind of life can I expect out of the newer V6's?
Anything I should know or consider would be appreciated!
>>16264163
thats not th car you buy for a first time manual. the only thing your going to do is fuck up the gear box by grinding and burning up the clutch because your "learning" still.
a civic or old toyota is a good first time manual car
Well guys I just bought pic related for 1800 dollarydoos
5.0 v8 fuel injected
3 speed with 0D auto
Electronic 4x4
All gauges lights switches power windows and locks and all that all work
130,000 on the clock confirmed by carfax although the guy said him and his cousin put In a new engine 50k mIles ago (no paperwork so imo it never happened)
Test drove it like 20 minutes hit highway speeds and took it offroad top, then drove it 60 miles home with no issues
87 bronco xlt
noice
bought a 95 f150 5.8 xlt mark 3 a while back for 1200, and it still runs strong but id trade for a bronco anyday
>>16264164
I always wanted a bronco man since my old man had one. It's like the perfect vehicle for me since Im a milfag, seats 5 has enough room for all my gear, 4x4 and removal top and enough torque for fun. I was DDin a car that hot about 10mpg and was carbed so this is even an upgrade from that
Came with MSD Ignition system, "performance" air filter (whatever), HID low beams and 2 spotlights for offroad. The inside is also mint but I don't have any pics. I was buzzed the entire time btw from when I saw it on CL to when I called my buddy and the whole ride there and test drive. I'll probably forgot by the time I wake up tomorrow and be shocked to see it in the driveway tomorrow lol
