Both cars look just awesome.
Hello /o/
I am thinking of getting KE70 as my first car and I wanted to work on it as well... So it'll be a project-ish DD
However, I dont have that much of a mechanical skill besides working on my shitbike by doing things such as a light maintenance so I'll use this to learn too basically
What do you guys think?
Should I keep the 3K motor? Or 4age swap it?
T50 gearbox? LSD? Can I just build it after AE86?
Would making it a hi-revving motor worth it?
Would working on the underbody by replacing it with a newish part hard to do?
Anything important I should consider about the car? Or maybe what should I do importantly when getting an old shitbox?
Thanks beforhand, please give me advice

Sounds great but no power potential.
Why is the American import scene so fucking garbage?

I can't wait until 5 years down the road when all these vapefags have cancer.
This is what the average American 25 year old drives.
Where can I find the best eurobeat playlist?
"EuroBeat" playlist on Google Play.
If you have YT everything they have is free.
Pretty gooood desu
Make your own
There's a mega link somewhere with every super eurobeat song from like 92-16
50+ GB
What I did was buy a cheap wal-mart android for about $10 and a 128GB micro SD and threw it all on there, left it in my car for endless eurobeat

What happened to the prices of Japanese import cars in Europe? Two years ago there were plenty of r32, r33, 200SX (not even import), etc. for around 2000 - 3000 Euro. Now the price is rarely under 10.000 Euro. What happened that the costs increased that much? Fuck that shit I wanted to buy a cool JDM car after my studies. Seems like even in Japan the prices went up in just a coupel of years.
Demand is high. Supply is getting only lower... so try to fetch a well maintained, not too much fucked with car. Impossible.
Nowadays when you are trying to buy used sporty RWD/AWD car in Europe, you are left with either BMW or Subaru as those are available in vast numbers of models from various generations. We know how expensive it is to own used beamer and not everyone likes subies so there is that.
Also, RHD cars can be bought from England but running them on mainland is problematic, conversions to LHD always fuck up something... it is meh.
But here, go buy some FWD shitbox with 3 cylinder and small turbo that puts out 100 hp and eats petrol like a 3 liter V6. Good job automakers!
Only so many to go around, once they're gone that's it.
Plus the amerispergers discovered their government would sometimes allow them to import some made before 1993-4(?) so there's a bit more demand for some models.
>>16253632
>>16253633
That's pretty sad. Let's just hope there will be more cars like the GT86 in future. I was born 20 years too late.
Hey /o/. Current car is my dad's 1992 civic shitbox. Thinking about upgrading to pic related, is it a good choice? I'd go for a used one under 18k.
>>16253027
A 3k civic is a better car.
model s only way to go
FRS is overpriced. Go for used Miata.
Fuck this gay ass state for not making lane splitting illegal
>driving down road at 75 in the left lane, speed limit is 65
>just chillin
>motorcycle out of nowhere passes me doing 90-100 like half a foot from my car
>hurr durr lane splitting is safe guys
I can see filtering through traffic at a red light to get to the front or slowly filtering through a traffic jam, but to be cutting in between cars at 70+ mph, who the fuck knows when somebody is gonna change lanes without a turn signal
lane splitting is retarded
:^)
>>16252810
the problem is a lot of them don't do it in a safe manner. Speeding through gridlocked traffic at 40mph with cars, trucks, and giant SUV's changing lanes without signaling isn't safe.
What car companies are left without a crossover in their lineup?
>>16250936
That's a good question
FERRARI AND ALFA ROMEO.
>>16250945
STELVIO
Lotus
Lamborghini
Lancia
Those are the only ones I could think of... I think the clue is having the brand start with L
Got 840 credit. Last car was new had 5 year 0% loan $18000 for new civic negotiate to $16000.
Pull that in Texas.
Similar deal, looking for:
low mileage (30000 to 60000)
6 year old max
manual
Honda Fit
(seriously used it as mini utli truck, Matrix/Vibe will be better but can't find it in decent shape)
I have 5k cash. plan to take loan and pay it off right away. 8k is my max
>good deal or bad deal?
BTW grab life by the cats, best ever.
>>16250807
What's wrong with your current car?
>>16250807
What exactly is your question?
>low mileage (30000 to 60000)
Wot
Does anyone here own a Land Rover?
I got a hard on for the Freelander. Considering its a "premium" brand theyre not really that expensive. Im looking and the early 2000s Freelander.
Whats the catch, they break down a lot?
yes
buy a crv for 3k
>>16250714
Yeah thats actually the model I'm comparing it to and while I think the freelander looks better the CRV is probably a lot more robust
>muh japanese quality
>>16250697
friend of mine has a 2003 freelander and the cluch broke, the repairdude quoted 3.5k€ but he managed to get a used clutch and have some nigga of him put it in
theres a saying where i come from:
>Gott schütze uns vor Sturm und Wind, und Autos die aus England sind
basically means
>"God protect us from thunderstorms, other terrible happenings, and cars made in England"
but dude maybe they arent that bad, i hope youre lucky!
What's your favorite time to go for a drive? Rainy night? Sunny day?
I love rainy nights on back roads. Going just a little too fast and feeling comfy.
>>16249599
i prefer summer night's with no rain because id rather not hydroplane
Chilly night highway drives with the top down blasting A thousand miles from my speakers.
if i'm driving my ecobox i like it dry and sunny
if i'm driving my 2 tonne nip suv i like it as slippery as possible

Kill yourself.
Redpill me on importing 240sx.
Living in Europe is hard and I'd love to have one for daily. How into importing and is it expensive? Never did and I'm pretty afraid of what's coming but I'm really set on it. Is maintance expensive? How does tuning scene looks in Europe?

Fuck off
What's the best car for the postapocalypse, /o/?
Has to be simple to repair, resistant to EMP, good for offroad, etc.
Pic maybe related, maybe not, I don't know much about those.
>>16243354
I guess it depends where you live
I'm in the UK and live on the outskirts of a small town near a load of fields so there's always a muddy Series 3/Defender roaming around. There's also a used car dealership that only sells Series 1, 2, and 3 Land Rovers so really finding parts shouldn't be too much trouble.
As for simplicity to repair, I can remember looking through a Haynes manual that my dad had for a Land Rover (for some reason) as a kid, so I'd just dig that out. Even then they're supposed to very idiot resistant.
Even the last of the series 3 could be started with a hand crank and as far as I'm aware used carburettors so EMPs shouldn't be too much of a problem.
As for offroad, they drove from London to Singapore in 1956 and the UK is nothing like the jungles of Malaysia or the desert of the Middle East so I shouldn't have too much of a problem

>>16243354
Own a CJ-3 made in 1951, they are good reliable workhorses
They are simple to work on, can get decent milage on highway (they cannot go faster than 60km/h, at least mine cannot)
They are good on offroad and can do quite a lot for their age, though they chug loads of gas when on 4low
I live in the south american country side and drove mine from the countryside mud to the sandy beaches, and it did fine all the way
