Why can't more detailers be like Larry and take real time and consideration into detailing a car? If I'm paying top dollar, I want top dollar treatment. Now all we get are instafags calling themselves detailing bros with their foam guns and shit getting foam and water all into the vents and in the hood of cars. Those faggots spray blue foam on shitty Lambos and think that they're the real deal. Can you name detailers that you guys trust? Larry's AMMO NYC videos on YouTube are so calming and helpful in his precision and focus on everything that he does.
jeez if you like larry so much you should s his d

because people just want to appear to be good at something but not truly be a experienced by having to pour hours and hours into a trade.
What are things people say about cars that make you go "dropped"?
I had some mouthbreather at school tell me he swapped the engine in his Civic hatchback for a naturally aspirated, turbocharged V8. If that isnt the fucking worst thing I've every heard, I don't know what is.
>muh Lambo
Modern Lamborghini is extremely overrated yet the normies love them, god knows why
>I got an [s]SUV[/s] crossover because my [insert 2WD car here] couldn't handle the snow.
My Honda Fit with all-season tires has performed just fine in all kinds of heavy snow/ice over the past 3.5 years. I refuse to believe that a 4WD [s]SUV[/s] crossover is necessary at all.

I have a chance to get a Honda Civic with compression issues like pic related for scrap price. Should I and what should I do with it?
>>16257813
You wouldnt be asking if you had any knowledge.
So dont do it.
Buy it and scrap it.
>>16257813
is that the actual car? or just some picture of one the same color/trim/etc
Is there a site that's similar to Khan Academy or Lynda, but for cars? I don't have much time to dedicate and I'm fucking poor, so something online is the best I can do.

khan academy is not that great btw; something like MIT OCW is better, and they probably do have something like that for automotive stuff
>>16257782
Wikipedia, a 500 dollar Craigslist beater, and a Haynes manual might help you get started.

Is a 1984 Chevrolet El Camino with a 350 v8 engine worth $5000. If not what price?
It's in well maintained condition with the three owners of the car all being of the same family. I'm going to have another person look at soon, but I wanted to hear /o/ opinion. What are the pros and cons of this car. What can I expect?
Pic related, but not the car.
El Camino general
What should I look out for when I go check out the car again?
itll be slow but as long is its all good aesthetically and mechanically I could see it being worth 5k
I had an '83 (305 tho) that was pretty nice
expect shit mpg but as long as its taken care of it wont be much of a problem
parts are cheap af
check for rust as thats going to be the major issue
Name a better car.
Hint: you can't.

Have you ever driven one?
They are fun, but I would never want to DD one. And that's coming from a guy who owned a gutted NA miata

>The only catch is that it's an RC car and can only be enjoyed by ants and action figures BUT IT'S THE BEST EVER AND IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU CAN NEVER EXPERIENCE IT BECAUSE IT'S PURE PERFORMANCE WITH NO CONSTRAINTS CAUSED BY YOU GIANT HUMAN SHITLORDS
>NO COMPROMISES
Is this even worth it or should I just browse craigslist for the rims?
Also what are the best "grippy tires"?
Or should I just put the money elsewhere? I just did an entire suspension overhaul so thats out of the picture.
>>16256643
>Also what are the best "grippy tires"?
slicks AKA summer tires. Only really work when its warp and we're going into winter so I wouldn't get them
>>16256643
If you can get the wheels cheaper go for it. Tires are always the best mod for your car.

You're not gonna get anything good that new for that price.
