I was originally thinking of getting a non-running RX8 to do an LSX swap, but I've fallen in love with the 4-rotor. I found a '04 RX8 that doesn't run for $1500 that appears to be in decent interior/exterior condition and a second donor RX8 engine for $100. Both engines don't run, but are they salvageable? Worse case

Okay so I myself this piece of volvo this september. bumper-trim and sideskirt are supposed to be bodycolored, but one of the previous owners repainted it. idk if i like it or not, even tho i've seen it every day for 4 months.

So I am in the market for a new car and I've decided on a "sports" car. I have always been a chevy person (pretty much everyone in my family has one or a bmw), but I would like to try something new. Narrowed down my choices to a
>mustang GT
>camaro SS
>Challenger RT Scat
>370z
All are base models with v8 (v6 for 370z oc) with manuals. But now that the facelift mustang was revealed, I'm back on the fence.
Styling looks autistic unless it is in a dark color (pic related), and apparently there is a new 5.slow.
Should I jump into something new or just go with the camaro? Wait for the new stang?
I've tested all of them and the differences are clear, but they are all extremely fun to drive, which is why I want one.

I'd wait for the new mustang to have some decent track time and reviews. If it's superior to the camaro, go for it. If not, than the get the Camaro. If looks are important and you will really only take the car in a straight line, go for the challenger. The Nissan isn't even a competitor to any of these cars.

Have you ever had a custom muffler and/or other exhaust components welded for you by a shop? If you have, what did you pay? And what do you think the price will be for my situation?
So I've just bought a new flowmaster catalytic converter and a dc sports muffler. I have a couple of plans for how I want the muffler piping to be and for a modification to the catalytic converter.
I do not want the shop to install the pieces as I'm capable of doing it myself (and so I can save money). I just want them to do the welding.
How much do you think it would cost for my plans to be completed? And if you're real good, how long will it take?

I need advice from people that know about this stuff, long story short in a couple months I'll be getting quite a bit of money from my grandma to #1 buy a place to live and #2 to buy a car. After seeing the condo and adding everything, I'll still have a little over $60k to buy a car. My dream car is the Dodge Hellcat (challenger or charger). The insurance prices I've been getting is from $1k-$2k a month.. I really cannot afford to pay $12k-$24k a year JUST for car insurance.. This seems unbelievable to both of us so I was wondering if we did something wrong. I have no idea about this and she's even more clueless about this type of stuff. Another thing I was wondering is if it is that high can I possibly have my 27 year old cousin buy it under his name and his insurance? His are gonna be much much lower considering he's 9 years older then me. I 100% trust him with the car so is that possible? Or can I do something to get past the insurance price? I might be in denial and just trying to come up with solutions so that's why I'm asking you guys. My mom will not add me to her insurance because buying that car is "suicide" and she "will not help me kill myself" so I can't do that. Also please don't tell me the same thing. Thank you
