>tfw you realise that FWD is objectively the best platform for easy single pegger skids
How can it be so easy? You just turn the wheels a bit, floor it and flick em a bit more and you have a tyre frying like its on the bbq
Why did nobody tell me?
>>16586493
RWD is more fun
But turning your wheels just lowers contact patch so much that its easy

I bought this 2016 Jetta TSI 1.8 Sport last year got into messing around with it, but want to know what I could do to make it better and more fit for /o/ stuff.
Wondering if I should just buy an older car to work on to make into a car fit for racing around in with my savings, or if there is anything I can do to my DD to make fit for that.
I don't know where to start or what to start with. I am pretty new to the aspect of modding.

Get the ecu tuned. turbo volkswagens are seriously undertuned from factory.
get springs or coilovers.
start with those 2. will completely transform your car for the better. It will be like waking up its potential.

If my downshifts give off a bit of a jerk what am i doing wrong?
Am i lifting my foot off of the clutch too slowly or too fast
Also how do i know if I should change DOWN a gear? besides 2 being turning speed and 1 being once I hit a stop.
also how do i get better at reversing my car into my driveway. it's a slope. I keep stalling out when I reverse into it
>>16586100
Clutch out slower rev match if it jerks as soon as you clutch out
>auto enthusiast board
>a fucking general for learning how to fucking drive
ah yes, auto """enthusiasts"""
>>16586100
in order:
1. not rev matching accurately enough, and releasing clutch too quickly. find engagement point quickly after revving, and release more slowly once partially engaged.
2. when the engine becomes unresponsive to increased throttle. aim to be in a rpm range from 2000 to 4000 when cruising. downshift when below 1500 rpm unless your engine is a torque monster.
3. more throttle, partial clutch engagement. modulate throttle and clutch pedals accordingly to whether you require more or less acceleration.

That would be elder scrolls oblivion
I'm a finance bro who actually has a decently high paying job now and I wanted to get a fast car. I live in NYC so manual is a no go, and I don't care for top speed only acceleration. I can comfortably pay up to 150K for a car. I was thinking the Audi RS7. It can smoke a lambo and its a pretty nice general car. I won't be using this car for much more than "street drag racing" and noise appeal. The RS7 seemed plenty quick, and faster than an M5. anyway I wanted opinions.
Porsche 911 GT3 in Tiffany Blue.
>tfw saw this exact car in Porsche of Manhattan the other day next to a 918 Spyder
wanted to run in and fuck the tailpipe
If you only want a car that goes fast in a straight line and live in NYC, you should just take the fucking train.

Are they the true automotive MVP?
Ferrari, Audi Sport, and now Cadillac owe their wins to the Dallara design team.
They are the reason the Maserati MC12 wiped the floor with the competition. They were the reason the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 and Super Sport were constant record setters while being the most comfortable luxury cars on Earth. They were the reason Porsche's 911 RSRs and GT3Rs owned the GT2, GTE, and GT3 classes for almost a decade.
>>16584731
What about Lola?
>never won le mans
into the trash
>>16584731
>Audi Sport
They were instrumental in getting the racecar off the ground, but by third-generation of Audi LMP (the R10) onward, Audi was building their own cars and Dallara was basically a consultant.
What does /o/ think about this?
300 hp, 5.5 sec 0-100 km/h.
Looks are subjective but i like it a lot.

Areufinkiddinme
But then it hit me. All these new luxobarges boast many hundreds of hp, not just 2
500 not uncommon, wouldnt be surprised if 6-700 actually
Coulda been in new 320 hp typer and still get killed
Skylines, Evos, Imprezas, in their stock form will get shit on by a new luxobarge
E38 530D 180 hp...newer 530D close to 300 hp. 5s 0-60.
And they can corner too, merc and bmw always could
Whats the freaking point of a sports import now? U will get laughed at unless its something like Nissan GTR or new Nsx, LFA. Supercars in other words. Brand new stock STi? GTFO...
You're a retarded benchracing video gamer
you should know your place.
Dont expect to pull away from everyone on the road in your 200hp honda, fag
