Audi S5 B8 vs B8.5

Which is more fun? Seems like the only thing the b8 has over the b8.5 is the sound cause muh v8.

Has anyone driven both and could comment?

the 4.2 doesnt have the extreme tunability that the 3.0 supercharged

only jhm touches the 4.2 and even then it's not that great.

i had a b6 s4 with the 4.2 i i fucking loved the torque, and how quietly and effortlessly it accelerated

4.2 is infinitely better.

I found a 2013 dodge dart sxt for only $2000 but it's wrecked. How much repair would it take to fix this back up again? I know it's bad but I really want one even if I have to fix it myself.

Pic related. This is how it looked when i got it home.

Hi /o/tists,
I am beginning to outgrow my first car, and I'm ready to move onto something more interesting. I'm 18 and currently living in the UK, so insurance is not exactly cheap, but I have done the maths and should be able to afford up to £16,000 for a car + insurance. I have several options, which I will list below:

>FD Rx7
>S15 Spec R
>Alfa GT Junior (don't remember the exact model)
>S13 (probably an import)
>180sx(again, import)

That's all I have come up with so far, any valid points to raise or if anyone has any other suggestions, let me know. Pls halp.

no you don't
anyway, out of these rx-7 is the best but it's maintenance heavy and way too much for you, trust me

buy a miata instead, especially since they are dirt cheap in the uk
you'll learn how to handle a proper sport car and who knows, maybe you'll stick with it

Car started pulling some bullshit a while ago where it took multiple tries to start or it would crank indefinitely. Recently it the engine would start and then cut off immediately but it would crank like usual. Never got any fault codes from any of this, not even a service light.
Went to O'Reilly's to get the battery checked and they said the battery is fine. Started the car and it runs like brand new, no delay with the gas, really responsive, starts instantly on the first crank.

Two days later and its back to the bullshit it started with. I give it three days this time before it starts cutting off immediately after startup until i try to start the car several times again.

What the fuck did that battery check do and what the fuck is happening?

Your battery is probably marginally charged, when you drove it to o'reily's the alternator could have done a surface charge. I'm sure those lazy cucks didnt take the time to do a legitimate crank. Batteries can seem fine until you let them rest for a while.
Get yourself a Volt-Ohm-Meter and check voltage after it sits for a night anon.

So guys, i have this 2000 cherokee that i DD in the winter, and wheel with on the weekends. However it seems like everytime i take it off the road i get a new groan, creak or pop. Ive read that frame rail stiffeners help keep things rigid and offer a smoother, and more importantly quieter ride. My question to those who know about these frame rail stiffeners is whether or not they are worth the money and the time, as well as which brand i should go with. In the future it will get 3 inches of lift on 31's. Also i can use the thick steel of the stiffeners to tie in the rock sliders that will eventually be made or purchased, increasing rigitity.

I'd go to a dedicated off road or Jeep site to ask about this. I do know that those Jeeps have a notoriously flexible unibody.
Luckily due to their popularity offroad you should be able to find plenty of products to stiffen the frame, as well as plenty of online resources to DIY. Good luck my dude
>>
>>16582029
You have to strip the interior and weld-in a frame and roll cage.

Worked out that I can save enough for a 2004 Audi A4 B6 TFSI 2.0 between now and September and insure it then

If I stripped the Corsa I could have the Audi bought by mid-July but can't afford to not have transport

Recent acquisitions tread? Just post cars or parts you've picked up recently

I bought pic related tonight, a 1998 mustang GT with a 5 speed and 155k for $800. The catch is that it cranks but it wont start due to no fuel/spark. Sorry for the craigslist tier photos but it's too dark to take new ones right now

No fuel or spark? Holy fuck man. My buddy had one with full bolt ons and it was pretty horrible, I would recommend getting the PI heads/cams or even trickflow or 4v.

But, if you dont have fuel OR spark, it seems like you will have some wiring and shit to go through. good luck

i'd text the dude you bought it from and say "look, i bought it, it's mine now, go ahead and tell me what's really wrong with it so i don't have to waste a bunch of time chasing down the problem"

The Alpha chassis is AWD capable, the V and Camaro share transmissions and are powered by similar output engines (V6TT and LT1 V8 ~450hp).

So when will we get a true GTR killer? AWD, 650HP, hopefully still under 4000lbs and $100k.

The ATS-V can't even kill the Germans and just got BTFO by the Italians. There is no fucking way even with AWD it will be able to fight a supercar.

The car is shit and makes zero sense to purchase when its priced the same as a C63 or M3

What vehicles do your parents own and how bad do you think they fucked up when buying them?

Mine just purchased a 2012 Dodge Journey. Dodges suck and it is crossover shit, but at least they went with the V6 and the AWD, so it is slightly redeemed.

They also own a 2000 Passat and a 2014 Malibu for commute.
