Remember that time you said that men are superior drivers?
>>16591004
I remember NOT FUCKING STUTTERING when I said it.
lets look at all the champions of all the pro racing series and see if we can find one female champion
.
.
.
nope, all males.
What are you supposed to do, drive three quarters of a car?
dear /o/
i looked to the sticky but found it a lil outdated - i'm also looking for something either zany like a rat rod or dune buggy, or cheap AF like a geo prizm, or there was even a 2000 year benz going for 1500 that i was looking at. Budget <3000 but i'd like to enjoy w/e i pick up
>>16590964
get a bus pass and save on maintenance !
wish i could get an adventure bike or a vandergon but its winter / its out of my price range
>>16590975

Buddys alternator broke somehow shearing bolts what is the cheapest way to fix? How the fuck do we get thay bolt and bracket piece off?
>>16590688
that's not an alternator that's a turbo
You're a mechanic, figure it out
>be driving around
>see tons of GMs, fords, toyotas, and mazdas
>some hondas (mostly mid 90s)
>occasional subaru (unless winter)
>never see mitsubishi
Because Mitsubishi is mostly shit. Only good thing they've made in over a decade is muh evo
>>16590746
>>16590783
and here we see the infamous faggots in their natural habitat and ruining threads with irrelevant shit.
>>16590634
>tfw just bought a Mitsubishi
>haven't seen a but a single other one in the wild
Do people still play?
>>16590292
I haven't played in years, did anything major change with updates and cars and whatnot? i burned off most of my Gran Turismo steam in GT5. Same lack of realistic sound in the cars and same lack of graphically generated interiors in most of the "standard" cars.
GT6 or GT5.2 just fixed annoying issues in GT5 like having to go to the "used" car dealership which was a random series of cars that popped up and if you needed/wanted a specific car you had to halt your play and wait until it showed up or try bugging your friends to loan you their's.
>>16590390
New concept cars and a couple of new premuim cars along with new tracks but not much
>>16590292
yeah it seems pretty active.
loaded it up the other day god the FPS dips with lots of cars on screen
Hey br/o/s.
This is probably a dumb-as-fuck question, but I'm still learning cars, let alone my car, so bare with me.
A couple weeks ago, I was driving in some good ol' Los Angeles stop and go traffic to meet up with a friend. A 20 minute drive basically ended up being a 50 minute drive. Anyways, while I was driving, my clutch would occasionally drop to the floor and not come back up, and I would have to smash the clutch in as hard as I could and pull with all my might to get the car into gear just so it could gtfo. Eventually, and thankfully, as I got onto the freeway exit, my car would NOT go into gear, clutch all the way down and the more I tried to pull it, my car would slowly die until it would stall out.
I got it towed home and haven't touched it since as I've been busy with work, and been having to take the train everywhere I go, but I miss driving it and want to fix it myself. What's wrong with it? The car turns on and sounds fine and everything, but the clutch just falls to the ground and I can seem to be able to put it into gear now, but I can't actually get the car moving. Here's a video I took of the problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0Ch7oqlNtg
Now, this is more than likely why, but I neglected to fill the master clutch cylinder reservoir with anything since I bought it, as it always just slipped my mind. Could it just be that it needs more fluid in it? Or, I was just thinking I need to replace the entire clutch master cylinder as some others have told me. It's a 1990 Nissan 240sx S13, by the way. Pic related is her.
A good place to start would be to bleed the clutch (a quick Google search on your car should tell you how). That would get rid of any air bubbles that could be in the system keeping the master cylinder from actuating the slave cylinder. If that doesn't work, refill the hydraulic fluid in the system and bleed the clutch again. Check for fluid leaks under the car. If that doesn't work, then consider replacing the master/slave cylinders along with the lines between them.
>>16590181
sounds like there is a leak.
Check for oil spots then fix if needed than bleed
>>16590444
>>16590501
I haven't seen many oil leaks or spots, but a while ago I noticed my car would always leave a small trail of something in the same spot when I would turn my car on. I will definitely give all this a go, then!
>America's longest lasting pickup
What did they mean by this?

How did i do?

>longest-lasting

they are the longest pickups that are in last
I'm trying to plan my next car project.
The only actual car work I've done is fixing up a camaro with my dad,and we did very little engine work so I don't have a whole lot of experience
I won't be able to do this until I graduate college and have my own garage so about 2.5 years from now but I like to plans things in advance
one option is to build a demolition derby car. I would build it over a year and them in august be in the local derby, then spend the next year doing it again and so on and so forth every year. working on these cars would be a good way to learn I think because if I fuck up really bad it won't destroy the car I've been working on also this way I don't have to make it look super nice.
the other thing I want to do is fix up a mk1 sirocco and do a vr6 swap and possibly turbo charge it. this would be cool to because it would actually be street legal so I could actually drive it
what should I do and why?
JDM mustang
24 Hours of Lemons or your local dirt track "Bomber" class are both cheap fun.
Come one guys. Help me out here
Is it worth 3500? 1998 Ram 2500 V8 5.9l. 91k miles
There's a reason Chrysler went bankrupt. Twice.
>>16588943
Yea probably. 3500 isn't much. Only the diesels are worth anything.
>>16589119
It's gas

If your haven't killed yourself already and have ridden for over 2 months you'll be
Oh No! You Have Been Sentenced 2 Deth 4 Hoon 2 Good!!!
your only way out is by riding from the most northern tip to the most southern tip of either India or Brazil on a Honda Cub
which do you choose and why
ps here's a video to set the mood

How do i into bikes if I basically know nothing about them and have never followed bike culture
Been watching Great teacher onizuka and it's making me want a bike lol.
Don't really care about going fast, something more to just cruise around the Suburbs in to do groceries or get some food
Something nice and comfy to learn on. both to ride and work on.
I'm an Australian consumer. can I get anything decent with $2-3k AUD? or is that too low of a budget.
I like the look of those cafe bikes or bikes without windscreens and stuff. dirt bikes look pretty cool too
Does anyone on here have one? A 4x4 from 1989 that gets 30mpg is pretty incredible.
just hehehehehe xd
>>16588256
that's not a 4x4 mang
Had one. AWD and 40mpg all day. Learn to tune, noob.
Just don't crash.
are there any RWD front engines coupes with a fastback style hatch back?
my ideal car would be w 4 door 370z
is there such a thing?
currently own a G35 but i find the trunk very lacking. I envy the hatch in the Z but i absolutely positively need a back seat
I know about the 350z touring but they are so rare they might not exist at all.
oh and u really really dislike shooting brake bodies (ergo i specifically mentioned fastback hatches)
help me /o/
you're my only hope
>>16588254
op here.
i forgot to mention it needs to have a backseat (regardless of size)
The 350Z has one of the most crippled trunks ever with that dinosaur bone cross bar spanning right across the middle of it. You usually only see this degree of completely impractical, lazy enginering with American brands.
Plenty of BMWs fit the bill.
My first car is kill and I feel sad. Anyone want to share first car death stories?
>>16587735
i totalled my sisters subaru in my high school parking lot you cant win em all bud
>>16587765
i didnt even wreck mine its just reached a point where its not worth fixing anymore. I dont have the money/time/tools
I didn't sleep the night my first car was fucked, in fact i still own it.
